As for seeing fuel efficiency, you can press "Set" button and display will cycle through showing different displays. Some of them show fuel efficiency as well as distance to service and range to empty etc.
Need not worry about that because though the temperature guage rises a bar or two when the engine switched off, the fan will immediately turn on and cool the temperature when you start the bike again, i go through the same thing every time and that didnt cause a problem.

As is said unless there is some issue with the electronics you should be fine, its very rare that genuinely the temperature warning will come and engine will cutoff.

But yes you will have that on back of your mind in summers and be fearing that ok the temperature is getting too high and it might stall, hopefully that should never happen .

Currently there is no option to keep the fan running even after you switch off the engine.

Yes the cooling system is suppose to keep the bike under optimum temperatures, but with RC its a bit complicated because first of all the engine heat is quite higher than what R15 generates, for that also the cooling mechanism works fine, but in very rare ocassions where there is some issue with sensors, though the coolant is not really very hot the temperature guage might show higher readings eventually cutting off the engine, now that engine getting cutoff causes serious problems in traffic.

Also one more thing is R15 doesnt have a temperature guage showing the current engine temperature it has only a warning symbol which lights up when the engine is too hot but with RC it shows the current coolant temperature, so when one notices that the guage is about to reach the max level then it creates kind of a worry or fear that the bike might stall. But in real world it doesnt happen unless there is an issue with some sensors.

anybody here using the Tribocor Super lube TC 205 to lube the chain?? any reviews?? I had been lubing my Old n faithful RTR with the Tribocor TC 40 lube spray. which used to get thrown all over the alloy wheel
A friend of mine owning a SBK suggested I use the TC 205. its supposedly very thick and black in color.

You have a point.i have booked myself 390 but was a little paranoid about this issue. If possible ktm can increase the display range of temperature so that it doesnt fear the riders in traffic.

My experience with the TRIBOCOR has been continuing from the days of my 220. Very good lube I must say for the price, very sticky...but...messy. Almost instantaneously sprays the gunk all over the rear alloys and the peripheral components, much a pain in the posterior to "scrape" out, but far better than plain gear oil lubrication. It's personally a matter of choice to use which lube. It doesn't matter what lubricant you use, all that matters is proper lubrication at the right interval. It truly does make a different in adding to your chain life, 3k to 4k extra mileage.

But all these go to heaven, "if" you don't properly adjust your chain slackness, which is by far very very important. Neglect one for one, chain life reduces drastically, it's the former which reduces chain life and accelerates drive train wear than an unlubed chain.

                      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                      THE END

True that mate. My RTR's chain lasted me almost 25k kms!!!! Used to lube every 400-500kms and get the slack corrected whenever needed!!!
Just wanted to know how would a thicker lube perform compared to the regular lube

                                Hi Archan,

well the temperature issue looks to be sorted now, ya there was a loose wire connecting to the temperature sensor and some fuses had problem so got them rectified all good as of now.

Sure will post some pics soon.
