The Z250 that comes in India is without ABS. In future, may be.

The latest D390's do not come with any added features. They are as they have always been. Of course, there might have been certain improvements done that are part of normal product improvement over the time done by the manufacturer.

Did you read the first 253 pages? If so, yes you would have seen many issues since these are the bikes from the first fee lots. But most of them (if not all) are resolved by now. Certain characteristics like vibes are obviously there. The engine has become smoother.
And for the rim, well dude, it is a high performance bike with light rims. If they go over a pot hole at 80-100 kmph, chances of rim damage is high. No matter if the manufacturer is KTM or Honda or Yamaha. But there have been reports of KTM improving build quality of the rims.

Test rode the RC and found it roomier and a sweeter handler than the D390. Brakes and tires are way better than N300 but obviously it is a single. Whatever bike I buy needs to do Leh this year, so querying about the touring capability of RC.

'If you are 19, you probably want the KTM despite the small little quirks it has'. Sums it all up for the RC in my opinion.

KTM has hiked the prices for all their bikes w.e.f January 2015. Prices shown are On-Road Bangalore
                  RC390 Old Price- Rs.2,43,563.00
                  RC390 New price- Rs.2,52,076.00
                  Amount hiked is approximately Rs.8,500.

Those who took their bikes before 31st Dec must be so happy right now!
Unfortunately my bike is yet to arrive and I will have to pay the extra 8.5K. Hope its still worth it!

Sorry I don\'t have a pic right now but there is one screw each on outside bottom corner of both the projectors. It is recessed inside by about an inch or two but can be access by either a flat or philips screwdriver. It might be a stiff initially but adjusting it will allow you to align both projectors independently.

                      3. Very seldom ridden with pillion and that too for short distances.
                      4. Never ridden offroad. Did highway speeds on less than perfect highways so that the suspension did get tested there.
                      5. Bike comes out of garage only once a week and sits in clean, dry and airy place.
                      6. I live 380 m above sea level with nearest coast at least 800 kms away!!!

Now if this rusting happens on a weekend ride bike, if I make it do daily duties, I believe the pieces will fall off!!!

I can now think of following future course of action. Take this up with svc and ask for part replacement. Also, firm up the suspension so that the springs do not brush against each other. Alternatively, is there some anti rust coat which I can apply and prevent further damage?

How are other RCs fairing on this?
Boy! Won\'t you be delighted to hear a fellow user experienced the same issue that you\'ve faced. Unfortunately yes, facing the same issue on the uppermost rings, three weeks after the purchase of the motorcycle. The term horror gets a new definition, after examining an oil leak on the rear shocker piston rod, discernible rear squatting. My SVC is 90 KMS one way, replaced the shocker to newer ones. It was the replaced one that started giving me trouble, as I could see rust clearly between the tightly spaced rings (upper side) perhaps due to excessive compression forces giving it a sandpaper effect. Never bothered to ask for another replacement. But all in cheap stuff at premium price. Solution?

Sold it for good, peace of mind. Oh yes!

P.S. What you\'ve gathered here is 100% my personal thoughts. Discretion advised.

                      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

VJ, you sold your Duke 390 already? How long did you have it?

It\'s really sad that Bajaj puts pathetically low quality parts on a \'premium\' bike. The Duke 390 is inexpensive for a 375cc bike, true. But that\'s because of its part sharing with 200. If you consider Duke 200 alone, the price isn\'t aggressive at all. 1.5L for a 200cc bike pumping out 25 bhp isn\'t exactly cheap when you consider the quality of the parts used.

Most people have bought the Duke/RC 390 for the fun offered and lack of an alternative that even comes close. I\'m sure those would have bought it even if it was 20-30K more expensive with better quality parts. It\'s sad that even 100cc bikes offer far better quality and relaibility.

P.S. What you\\\'ve gathered here is 100% my personal thoughts. Discretion advised.
+1. No offense intended to KTM owners from my side.

                                the battery cover was vibrating.
so went to the svc changed the rubber studs below it and now its gone.
the problem is acknowledged by ktm officially as there was a mail in their system which was specifically to reduce the battery cover vibration. overall satisfied.
thankfully my bike still rides like a dream!
touched 180 again fully crouched. i am a 68 kilo rider just for reference.
oh and yes experienced for the first time the engine overrev ecu power cut. it actually gives you a proper jerk. absolutely didn't expect it. solution? changed the rpm 2 setting to 9000 rpm so that i can shift before the cut in power.
