After being an Xbhpian i understood that Bajaj bikes are of much lower quailty, is a myth.

The current Honda motorcycles also have their own issues.
Just go through the Hornets thread itself, one can understand it.

Am not a bajaj ,suzuki, honda or a yamaha guy.
I have currently a Honda,Suzuki bajaj and Hero Honda (before hero version)

And sir juts go through Unicorn150 thread, swing arm got broken, because of the rust and personally my friends dad owns one unicorn150, the part where monoshock connects to the swing arm part go rusted and broke.

    And quailty?
What quailty are you talking about?

Honda from selling good reliable jap machines have turn into profit makers.

    Why I said so?

See the switch gears of Cbr150, and even the latest Hornet?

See the foot pegs of CBR150?

Both this bikes don't even get a Kill switch ?
    How ridiculous is that?

And the biggest thing, Honda brought the brake lock feature om scooter with the first generation Honda Activa 102cc .

Now no Honda Scoters offer it, Why? Cost cutting?

One more thing about switch gear is that, you should see the switch gears of HONDA UNICORN DAZZLER, they are big and of good quailty , unlike Hornets, although it doesn't have a kill switch.

See the price of HONDA scooters?
    What do they offer? Nothing.

Except for the engine, nothing else, they dont even provide a telescopic forks?

Bajaj has come a long way and it shows..
I realy support Indian engineering, and after going through a lot of search, and asking the users,
I can say that a Pulsar 150 will run as good as Unicorn 150 in longer run.

This is from my perspective view.

    Cheers ☺
Yes there are some problems with hornets, but i think you didn't read rs200's thread. There are lots of problems in rs200 too.

And don't make your final judgment by seeing switch gears only.

What's the problem with cbr's foot pegs?? I know r15's metal foot pegs looks cool , but looks and practicality are two different stories.
Cbr's rubber foot pegs gives better grip to riders foot than r15's foot pegs.
Honda is all about reliability and practicality.

Yes a i agree with you.
But that rubber mounted pegs dont feel premium, just taken from commuter bike feel, yes thats something one can live with and some will find it gripper too.
What about the rest of things i have mentioned.
(There is no problem in correcting me, am ready to Correct my self, if am wrong.
What i have mentioned is what i understood )
Yes some users of RS200 has faced issues, go through the CBR250 thread, some owners are facing some issues there also.
Spare parts availabilty is the main problem of CBRs.
And the costs ofcourse are high

If you feel Honda better yes, get it.
If you feel that bajaj offers VFM, then one should take a testride and see it themself, thats what i suggested him.

What i suggest him was to take a testride and see not to go and buy that bike there itself.

      Cheers ☺

Unicorn 160 is very comfortable, and can cruise at 80-90 all day with ease.

Plus points compared to Hornet are-
Stellar low end torque on the unicorn - strongly pulls till 6k RPM. Torque starts at 2.5k and feels very comfortable at 4-5k RPM.
        Closed chain - reduces maintenance

These are very easy to replace yourself. But you will have to have proper tools which are available in the market. I used to dismantle the tail/front section of my old Unicorn 2005 model as it had rattling issues and fixed the issues myself. I have a habit of watching carefully what the mechanics do in the ASC. Once you know the proper procedure you should not have any problems.

How is the ground clearance of unicorn 160 ?

It ticks all the checks that i need in a bike but when i saw the ground clearance of 150 mm in unicorn 160 i was disappointed, i live in Gurgaon and we have lots of speed breakers in the city.
Has anyone faced issue regarding the ground clearance of unicorn 160 ? please reply

No problems , I have an extra engine guard below gear box to prevent water splashing , even then speed breakers are not a problem.

                        Surprised,
Gixxer has 160mm ground clearence but there are many reviews regarding it contacting steep speed breaker, whereas unicorn 160 has 150mm but everyone is happy with it.

Ha ha I was surprised to scratch my friends gixxer too . Simple reason is gixxer suspension is so soft that after seating a pillion the ground clearance become way too less .U can feel n see it . It's my opinion .

                            Hi friends!

I've finished all the three free services. I did'nt find the paid services schedule mentioned anywhere in the manual. Since doing paid services is also required for warranty purposes, can someone throw light on when the 1st paid service should be done?

                            Thank you!

Thank you Shashank! One small query. I find the illumination offered by stock headlamp bulb inadequate. Can u suggest some good aftermarket bulb for Uni160. Are you using stock headlamp bulb?
