    Yup surely feels DOT3 ..
and i think DOT4 comes with the new bikes.

A friend suggested me that the pistons in the clippers would have got jammed, that is why the performance drop in the braking.
Will have to get this checked at the service center.

Anyone here can give me a review of the stock tyres of unicorn 160? About the road grip and thread life? Coz im planning to buy them. If im not wrong the front is a zapper fq and the rear is zapper c both being tubless.

Both tyres aren't bad. Acceptable grip in dry and wet. Should last upwards of 15k kms.

Any suggestions on a really good Service Center in and around Marthahalli, Indiranagar, K R Puram, Bellandur ?
I am really not happy with the service of Haiku Honda Pai layout, feels like they have screwed up the bike during its 3rd service.

I decided to stop going to authorised service centres. The Pai Layout branch screwed up my bike after 1st service. Still not been fixed, neither by them nor by outside mechanics.

I try servicing myself. If it's something I can't do then I go to a mechanic in Frazer town.

Hi guys please share your views about the following....
                  1. On 19 Aug I had my 1st free service of uni 160... I filled the Honda throttle 10w30 full synthetic engine oil of rs 700 , there was a regular oil of rs 250 which the service guy said is good enough for uni 160....but I choose the FS oil because I am going on a tour to himachal for 20 days...... The next day I took a short tour to Dalhausi ( total 200 km) but I couldn't find any huge difference( as thre is huge difference in price) in engine performance after using the FS oil, gear shifts are same little bit rough, though I hoped for it will be better after using the FS oil..... If any one of you have any idea on the performance of Honda throttle FS oil then please share with me

                  2. And now the main problem... During the tour to Dalhausi when I was driving at 5 th gear and suppose I have to suddenly downshift gears or even when normally it is required to down shift gears to 1 or 2 then the down shift only happened just one step, aftr that the gear was not further down shifting, it was a feeling that already I down shifted to gear 1 , I could upshift the gear easily sometimes one step and sometimes two steps,.... That was like that when I was trying to down shifting the gear down shifted to 3 or 4 nmbr gear and stucked there..... I was very much irritated with that problem as it was happening frequently..... Though the overall journey was not effected but I felt it very uncomfortable in some needy cases...... Please guys share your views and ideas....thanks

Don't do that. Downshift one gear at a time.

Hi shasank, I was not doing that intentionally...... It was happening like that on its own....I never tried to downshift more then one gear at a time...but it was not downshifting more then one step at the time of that problem, it was not happening every time, but it was happening frequently ....Plz suggest something.

                        Maybe you didn't downshift properly?
Did you check your chain? Is it lubricated properly?

Hi shasank,.. On 19 Aug I had the first free service.... The service guy lubricated The chain well in front of me....
Yesterday afternoon when I was riding a short and slow ride that time I noticed that the problem isn't happening.... May be this gearbox problem happens in case of long rides........ Is this possible??..

Downshifting one gear at a time means shift from 5th to 4rth,, then leave/disengage the clutch slightly and then shift to 3rd and then leave/disengage the clutch slightly and shift to 2nd. Like that.
                            You shifting like this.
Engage the clutch fully and shift from 5th to 4rth and to 3rnd and second.

You should disengage clutch slightly in between gear shifts. Very slightly is enough.
