I saw the Matte grey variant and it looks good.
Ignored the re-introduced Unicorn 150 as well primarily due to its weight (146 kgs) and also the same old styling (was told Uni 150 has 2 months waiting period as well).
Btw, I am 35 yrs old, 5' 4'' and sportiness is not my cup of tea.

But yet to test drive Uni 160 as I went to showroom twice but was told that the test bike was not available at that time.
Honda sales guys have a worrisome 'don't-care' attitude. Blame it on the sales of India's largest selling 2-wheeler - Honda Activa.

I feel even Unicorn 160 is a little overpriced as well but currently it is the only bike that ticks all my requirements boxes - commuter styling, reliable engine, decent power, pickup, good FE, etc. But, my major concerns are - 1. Rear suspension stiffness 2. Honda's sales and service quality 3. Ground clearance, to a minor extent.
Also worried about stories of over-heating engine and poor mileage from users in various online forums.
Is it worth a buy? Please help me decide.
Wait for uni 150 is worth it. From my experience of clocking more than 64k kms in 4yrs time.
        slow down.

Thanks for all the replies. I still haven't bought anything as I am completely tied down due to my workload. Am still fixed on Uni 160 only.

'vRide' - Yes, I know very well about Uni 150, but as I wrote earlier, my big problem with that bike is its weight (146 kgs). Can't handle that.
Tried one belonging to one of my acquaintance but was not comfortable at all. Looks like in my case, the choice is really limited.

Guys, I observed that when I start the bike first time in the morning, the tappet noise is a little high. Then it gets back to normal. Anyone else observed this?

+1. By the time it warms up the noise is gone for me. Maybe because the exhaust clearance is recommended to be set at 0.24mm, which is a little high.

No idea. The Honda svc guys have nothing to say, as always.

As long as the sound disappears it's fine with me. Just a 5 minute warmup and it's gone.

it is because the lube oil takes time to reach the tappets rollers, better u clean the mesh filter fitted below the pump inside clutch cover refer to my post in hornet 160

Yes. That must be the answer to the problem. Thanks for the pointer Sourav.

                      Cheers,

                        Hi Friends,

I am driving Unicorn 160 since 3 months and driven for 3500 kms, and I faced a lot of issues in the last three months and got it resolved in the ASC. Off late I am facing a problem of acceleration hiccup, when I try to accelerate fast and when I open the throttle the response from the engine will be blank for few moments and the bike picks up and the same problem continues in 2nd and 3rd gear. I got the carburetor cleaned and changed the spark plugs but even then the problem continues....
But I am not facing the problem in normal slow acceleration. The mileage I am getting is 40 - 55. Dont know why so much fluctuation even though I refuel only at shell petrol station.

Does any of you faced a similar problem and got it resolved.....?Please help me......

I too face this issue. What I do is to shift at 5k+ rpm. The jerk disappears.

I used to face this issue too. Now it's gone thankfully. I had a 400+ km ride and it behaved very well on the highway.

Went on a small ride today to Nandi Hills.
Bike was amazing on the highway. 80-100 constant was good.

Only thing i felt is that the tank vibrates after 65-70. I couldn't feel vibes on the pegs and handle due to shoes and gloves. Also engine sounds were similar to a Pulsar 150/180 (some kind of 'hitting' or rattling sound).

Monkeys sat on my bike and ate carrots making the bike very dirty[emoji35].

After coming back could see oil leak unfortunately. Getting it fixed on Monday.

Guys while riding in 5th gear around 4-4.5k rpm do you hear a buzzing/whirring sound which disappears on revving higher?
