My bike engine has become louder after the service, once it gets heated. Not sure what has caused this, The total run so far is about 12300 km. I am also feeling jerks in the bike when I try to accelerate. It is not as smooth as it was earlier. What needs to be done to rectify this? Earlier during service, the svc guys asked to get engine flush and decarbonization, for which I said no. I thought that is not needed with only 12k run.
Also, I felt rear suspension was little too hard, so asked the svc mechanic to make it softer, But it seems he made it more stiff. How should it be turned to make softer? Clockwise or anticlockwise (while looking from above)? He had done it anticlockwise.
Vikas, just check if the valves need readjustment. Or tappets need to be reset. Some Honda asc are a pain. Better to have a well known mechanic. Is there any change in fuel efficiency?
the bike sounds rough in 2nd and 3rd gear and there are also some vibrations.the issue arises after i have driven for about 5 km.
what could be the reason for this?

Not sure about the cause. Never felt it in my bike though. What's the odo reading?
Had been on a 400km ride yesterday. I liked the way she behaved on the highway. Constant 80-100 isn't a problem at all. I got a fuel efficiency of about 55. The bike never feels sluggish on the highway. Some pics:
Did they change the spark plug? Also check the carb setting by checking the spark plug after some kms of riding.
Yes, The spark Plug was changed. However, the mechanic said later it was not necessar to change as the spark plug was fine. I have kept this old one, just in case I need it in emergency.

Gave the bike to ASC today. the mechanic there was also saying probably tappet sating needs to be checked. However, their usual reaction is that it is normal for engine to sound after few kms of riding, and I know that, but it wasn't this bad earlier. it had certainly become too harsh and changing gear also became too much harsh. Lets see if they can resolve the issue...
BTW does anyone knows some good Honda bike mechanics in Thane/Mumbai?

Please let me inform the result, because I am also facing the same issue on my honda trigger, engine become louder or it loose it's smoothness after few kms or on hot engine.

They adjusted tappet and also the tuned up for mileage improvement .. it seems to have worked. Engine harshness has reduced significantly. It still happens sometimes, but very infrequently. The mileage also has improved. 49 kmpl with very harsh riding. Earlier, I would have got about 40.
guys what is the reserve position.it s upwards as far as i know?
yesterday had a problem starting in reserve.
Yes the arrow mark shape of the nobe should point upwards. The owners boolklet has opposite pictues so don't go by that. For starting was it because of long non usage? Did you try choke? Let us know what worked or if it is still a problem
Usually it has starting problem if unused for 3+ days. Check visually if there's fuel in the tank. Reserve you've to turn the knob clockwise. The knob also points to the top.
