Regrading the tyres Euroslip is a decent one.Its good on hard roads but on wet it slips provided u bent too much or brake at very high speed to sudden stop.Euroslips are meant to last where as MRF is good both on wet and dry.If u get a chance u can change to MRF As they rgood.but if u r not doing too much cornering or dont apply sudden breaks then eurogrip is also good. Its not that MRF doesnt slip.Even it slips but ya Eurogrip skids early than MRF at hard breaking conditions.

I have 2 of my friends who has NS200 and they have eurigrip. They still use it although its ben 15000 kms.Once they settled into it they found it to be decent. But ya with MRF the Roadgrip do increase.

I can suggest u to use it for 5000Kms and see if you are okay with it as it should have a good grip till that time. After that if u feel u want even more balance and roadgrip definately MRF :-)
Thanx for the input man..... I have the same thoughts. Will use the tyres for 5~6K kms until the bike really opens up.
Will shift to better rubber after.

Do let us know it the brake lever DIY job works out for you. It will be a boon for all of us!

I think you should get it back o its original position as it harms the breaking system.Best suggession would be to go to welding shop and tell him to fix the foot peg.should be easy

I think the extra part of the rear mud guard can be removed for the NS number plate. And you have those extra clamps for the tire hugger that you get in the NS.

The holes u r seeing near the rear disc brake is also used to Fit the Service Stand as it doesnt come with a center stand.

No those mounting holes are for the tire hugger/mud guard that you see on the NS hanging in mid air. The service stand should fix to the axel of the rear wheel, as the service stand should be either side of the wheel and the brackets are only on one side(right) of the bike.

If you set the brake lever a little lower than what it is manually, then you won't feel that the brake is less efficient. The only think that because you have to push a longer distance.

Well, May be i used the wrong word, Engine harshness is less in higher RPMs since the peak power/torque is produced high up the RPM range, hence after 5.5K RPM the bike feels more enthusiastic where as its a bit sluggish in the lower RPMs.
Thanks Anand. Also I heard that suspension setup on this bike is little hard... if true... can we setup this to little softer side for better ride quality??

Yes, the Suspension is a bit stiff, that what makes it a good handling bike. The softer the suspension gets the bouncier it gets around corners.

You can adjust the rear mono shock, it has 5 settings Hardest to Softest, ideally keep it at the 3rd notch for a balanced ride. Or you can experiment it to see what suits you best.

Thanks Anand, what about the suspension performance in city and bumpy roads then... is the current setup of this bike is good for city and bumpy road too and comfortable to your back/hand/shoulders??? they have tagged it as Adventure Sports so i think should be good overall...

Also would you suggest this bike as a Comfortable sports tourer and good city commuter too??? Comfort in terms of Refinement, seating position and ride quality. I've still not decided between Gixxer SF, AS200 and RS200... need your suggestions friends...!

Hey Sagar,
If you have the budget for RS200 and like the look then go for it. It's total VFM with Fuel Injection. Pretty smooth compared to other pulsar models.

Hi Santosh,

Its not about budget bro.. i'm thinking about quality too... i'm thinking about the bike which will last at least for 3-4 years... in which Bajaj's reputation is very bad... So quite concerned about putting 1.5 lacs for Bajaj bike.. I've seen the fit and finish of RS200 and it is below average.. i don't know how its gonna perform after few thousands of kms.

I need a sports tourer and could see only these 3 bikes in the market currently... CBR250 is already out of production... and don't want cruisers though...
if you any other suggestions then i would be glad...

I guess many people are having problem with position of the gear shift lever.
Itzli has done a DIY for his 200NS. I suppose it should hold good for AS200 as well. All ideas and work is only from Itzli on the 200NS ownership thread. I dont know how to quote the post. so i am copying the post and adding a link to it. Thank you @tzli.

"Small DIY for all those who want to adjust the gear level to their desired setting.

I used a Gear Cross Link Assembly (Tata Ace) Cost = 30/-

Measure the length of the link of the stock gear push rod. The final length of the above gear link needs to be shorter by a few mm to accommodate for the ball socket at both ends.

Cut the push rod to that length.
You either get the cut end threaded (Very difficult to get the lathe guy help you do it) or get it welded in the middle.

The final product will look like this

Now fix it to the levers

The push road can be rotated clock wise to bring the levers closer i.e the foot peg moves up or anticloclkwise to move the levers further apart ie bring the foot peg lower..

and how's the build quality compared to ns?

Hi.I had a pulsar 180 ug4.5 that i sold recently for this bike.its a little comfortable than 180 due to handle height being more and its also a bit taller compared with 180.Its definitely more comfortable than 180 as u sit more upright on 200as.also huge performance difference between the two.200 will beg u to throttle more when u reach 4k rpm.its a really nice bike and a worthy upgrade from 180.
Fit and finish is typical Bajaj style. Not bad though.its actually pretty good.Although on the front where the doom is u can see a cluster of wires. All u need to do is talk to a mechanic and tie them up with a black tape.other than that its a well built bike and a good upgrade from 180.
Oh ya and its Headlight just eats P220's headlight as a morning breakfast
