      hehe.i know.just praising the AS200.

Well its a tad taller than 180 but for some reason its comfortable.I think the best would be to isit nearest bajaj showroom and check if you are okay wit it

Also would you suggest this bike as a Comfortable sports tourer and good city commuter too??? Comfort in terms of Refinement, seating position and ride quality. I've still not decided between Gixxer SF, AS200 and RS200... need your suggestions friends...!
Dont go by the name, there is nothing 'adventurous' about the AS, its just a NS200 with a quarter fairing and a rear fender. But that isnt a bad thing at all. The bike is a comfortable commuter in the city. Its very flickable, well balanced, good mid range, decent brakes, perfect in city roads. On the Highways its planted, except when there is strong cross winds. Ideal cruising speed would be around 95-110kmph. Bike might pull upto 135+ but realistic cruising speed would still be under 110kmph. RS200 has even better seating if you would ask me, and if you are looking for refinement, RS is better and less harsh. Not that AS is bad, but th RS is better.

Its not about budget bro.. i'm thinking about quality too... i'm thinking about the bike which will last at least for 3-4 years... in which Bajaj's reputation is very bad... So quite concerned about putting 1.5 lacs for Bajaj bike.. I've seen the fit and finish of RS200 and it is below average.. i don't know how its gonna perform after few thousands of kms.

I need a sports tourer and could see only these 3 bikes in the market currently... CBR250 is already out of production... and don't want cruisers though...
if you any other suggestions then i would be glad...
I used to have a P220, sold it when it was around 50000 kms, trust me it had atleast another 50000kms in it. It all boils down to how you maintain the machine. Fit and Finish is decent by Indian standards. If you are talking of uneven panel gaps even CBR has it. the Only thing that I hate is the stupid Turn switch, its a pain to operate with gloves.

and how's the build quality compared to ns?
        TIA.
The bike is tall, but if you are ok with the 180, it should be ok here as well. At standstill one might not be able to put both the feet on ground if height is below 5.9-5.10 (I am assuming based on my experience) but once on the move you should be good.

Fit and finish is typical Bajaj style. Not bad though.its actually pretty good.Although on the front where the doom is u can see a cluster of wires. All u need to do is talk to a mechanic and tie them up with a black tape.other than that its a well built bike and a good upgrade from 180.
Oh ya and its Headlight just eats P220's headlight as a morning breakfast
Headlight : on my bike the low beam is all over the place, guess I need to get the focus fixed.

Hey guys, hope our ASs are running super!

Is there a workaround for the engine kill switch shutting off the whole electrical system? I think this constant restarting may damage the electricals!
The earlier pulsars worked just right, with the Instrument cluster still on, but engine off.

            Hi guys,

Despite tightening all the fairing bolts I am still getting some vibration noise at around 4-5K rpm range which smoothens out after it which is really annoying. Anyone has any idea as to how I can get that to stop?
And also the gear shift from 1-2 is a nightmare (Reminds me of Royal Enfield gear shifts). Any suggestions ??

              - On my case i found the light through to be just perfect. It spreads a bit but almost covers the entire road.Just get it checked with ASC. They can focus it properly.

              - It seems fine though.Lubricate it a bit. Also does it make Tuk Tuk Noise when u change the gears?

There is no tuk tuk noise. Its gets stuck at neutral or is way too hard to upshift.

However that is not the main concern( I can live with it ). What is really bugging me is the fairing vibration noise. Any suggestions to stop that?

I have also faced the same issue and Bajaj guy tells me its an issue with all the as 200 's and as 150 's. In my bike they have tried damping the vibrations to a maximum but still have some vibrations around 4-5k rpm. Also the rear monoshocks have been replaced in my bike due to the funny noise it makes going over speed breakers or potholes.

I guess we need to take up the fairing issue with Bajaj. At least they might consider it as a problem and start working on a solution.

Suspension is all good after replacement.

Btw fairing vibrations and noise started after 500kms. I have anyways written a feedback on the complaint form regarding the fairing issue. Lets see if it comes up in future.

There is an option on Bajaj Website to submit your complaints, go through that channel so that the dealer gives u a call.

There is DIY by a user "rahuldevnath" in the DIY section. It is named Pulsar NS removing the battery saving feature.
