Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Yes, a lot of people just follow the displacement (cc) as the benchmark for performance.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostThat's both as150 and as200 together. Still people keep buying old 220, bajaj is scared if it stops that, some might opt for a zmr, because many still think that extra 20cc is worth [emoji2]
When i told a friend that i had bought a pulsar 200, he said that i've made a mistake and should have bought the pulsar 220cc (because its 20cc more so more power) OR the bullet because its 350cc!!
Cant blame him though... six months back i had no idea about bikes and i would have said the same thing!! SO i guess a lot of people still buy the pulsar 220 thinking 220cc>200cc so more power and more speed!

Exactly, my friends asked the same , why don't you buy bullet instead for this price?.... [emoji16] how do i make them understand that they are different in character. The point is, people think if you spend more than a lac, then the only best bike is RE [emoji3]Originally posted by guptavis View PostYes, a lot of people just follow the displacement (cc) as the benchmark for performance.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
I keep seeing some P150 fitted with 200NS style tire hugger and the mud guard was removed completely. It's possible, but you have to find a way to fix those number plate, otherwise everything is easy, but will change the look to killer for sureOriginally posted by xplod566 View PostI was thinking the same.I saw one guy doing it but just wanted to know is it a direct fit?

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hello guys.
This is my first post in xbhp
just subscribed to it...
Its been about 26 days since I bought my red pulsar AS200 looks rather stunning and it certainly is a head turner
and have done about 350 kms on it..! So far everything seems good except for a few niggles, which Im hope full to sought out via this thread and also have a few questions..
Q.1. My first service is due in 4 days. so should I wait for my odo to clock 500kms or should I give the bike to service before it?? (I would finish about 30kms in next coming 4days)
Q.2. My rear suspension seems to make "kirr-kirr" sound whenever I move the bike lil bit or when I sit on it. There was no such sounds when I bought the bike... So what do I do about it?? Do the showroom mechanic rectify the problem or should I be doing it from outside??
Q.3. The high beam of the bike seems to focus on the trees at night and not on the road... Good if I was bird watching
but no so much if im trying to see the road.. Can this be adjusted or will I get the same reply when I wanted my foot pegs(rear break peg and the gear shift peg) adjusted a lil bit lower?? (I was told that "saab ye sports biko mein foot pegga upar ich rehete
)(I stay in Hyderabad by the way :P )
Hope to get a few replies and make some friends here

1. The bike starts displaying the service indicator on the console at 450km. There is no harm in giving the bike for service early.
Better that than giving it late and having the stupid mechs screw around with your warranty status.
2. I don't know how good or bad the SVCs in Hyderabad are, but do ask the mechs to have a look during your 1st service. Make sure the
issue is entered on the job card - making it an official entry.
3. This can be adjusted. Only thing is the adjustment knob is placed in a very awkward location behind the headlight and the mechs will have
to open up the fairing to get to it. It's your call if you want to let them do that or not. I adjusted it myself with a LOT of effort by putting
my bike on it's center stand, lying down on my back under it and using a long screwdriver to slowly turn the knob millimeter by millimeter.
The knob takes quite some effort to turn.
The low beam on the other hand is easy to adjust by hand, you can see the knob partially if you look under the fairing.A good rider has balance, judgment, and good timing. So does a good lover!

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Congrats, ride safe and steadily. Follow proper run-in procedure to have niggle free ride later. Foot pegs can't be adjusted and you better get used to that. By the way, the foot pegs in AS is better than RS and much better than in CBR\R15 as they are more sporty, over a long rides, it will make your knee painful (Just imagine sitting without stretching your legs for hours). Sporty riding position always offer better control and result in good handling, but offers poor comfort and long trip rides. People who ride on CBR250 for longer distance usually get wrist and back aches due to the amount of force put on your wrist. Ofcourse if you are well fit, you needn't worry about thatOriginally posted by Tejas Jha View PostHello guys.

Q.1. My first service is due in 4 days. so should I wait for my odo to clock 500kms or should I give the bike to service before it?? (I would finish about 30kms in next coming 4days)-You can absolutely give it.Its either 30 days or 500-750Kms.
Q.2. My rear suspension seems to make "kirr-kirr" sound whenever I move the bike lil bit or when I sit on it. There was no such sounds when I bought the bike... So what do I do about it?? Do the showroom mechanic rectify the problem or should I be doing it from outside?? - I had the same problem. This is because of faulty suspension. Also you dont know now but the suspension is not even working. So get it changed positively. They may give you 100 reasons.Make sure you change it.I after changing noticed the old suspension wasnt working. Now it works like a charm
Q.3. The high beam of the bike seems to focus on the trees at night and not on the road... Good if I was bird watching

)(I stay in Hyderabad by the way :P ) - Its upto you but you cant use high beam on road other than highway. So tell the same to SVC,they should do it.However i fell the low beam is pretty powerful so its okay like that

- will make it official... At least will have an official entry to show if something goes wrong tomorrow.
3. This can be adjusted. Only thing is the adjustment knob is placed in a very awkward location behind the headlight and the mechs will have

- Did you just say " put the bike on it's center stand "??? our bikes have a center stand?? I asked a few bajaj spare parts dealers... they either say that its a new model n they dont have the spare parts or say that this bike has no center stand at all...!

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
[QUOTE=Tejas Jha;1171353]The procedure given in manual requires very patience, but worth doing it. Trust me, you will get a perfectly polished engine at the end. Just make sure you don't let below 2.5K esp at higher gears (3,4, etc)Originally posted by neoakshay View PostHi and welcome to xBhp! Congrats on owning an AS200, a great allround bike!
