Even just an array of LED lights will sure rock....!!! (Take Duke 200 for eg).

You wouldn't get benefits from high octane fuel on these machines. Already in NS forums, many have tried and got sick for having spent extra for the same.
Fine thanks bro !

I had ridden 100kms this weekend..the only problem i am facing is the gear shifting is hard that it causes pain and irritation. Will this get settled when i inform the service person ?

Yes ofcourse. Gearbox needs to be getting up with break-in process. Try shifting with your middle foot, not the toe. It'll be easier. Also slightly apply pressure on the level and then press the clutch. Gears will slot in perfectly. Upon changing the oil the gears shifts will improve. With higher quality oils like Motul, the gear shifts can improve

Change to Motul oil after 4K KMs or after 2nd service. If you think suspension, try manually pushing the bike downward and check for the sound.

I get the same squeaky sound when i manually push down. I think it is coming from the front suspension. Is it something to be worried about?
I get the same sound when going over very rough surfaces, deep potholes, etc.

Hey guys! hope you all are doing good. Needed to discuss something very urgently...

My AS200 has done around 900 kms. While returning home, decided to raise the RPMs a little above the usual shift limit of 5k.
To my utter shock, as soon as I crossed 6k, strange metallic rattling noise started emanating!
As I reduced the rpms, the noise went away, but it always came back as soon as I crossed 6k on the tachometer!

It sounds like something is loose in the engine...! Vibes and buzzing is all acceptable, but this type of metallic sound is damn scary!
My engine also has a noticeable metallic ticking sound which can be heard at low speeds.

I'm amazed as to how so many engine troubles can appear in such a new bike.
And yes, I always follow the run-in guidelines to the T...warm the engine properly before riding, etc.

Please help!

So its not just me. Yep, same here i get the squeaky sofa sound from the rear suspension as well. Started from day 3 after i rode in heavy rain. Not really a deal breaker but its there..
Read xplod566 's post that he has replaced his rear shocks (for maybe same issue). I think, i will keep my stock squeaky rear shocks than have a second hand shocks fit by the bajaj guys. Maybe something can be done to the current shocks itself to fix the sound.
I believe, what comes in stock is the best you get.

Well its your call.just to let you know the shocks that you are currently using aren't working at all so you will start having all sorts of pain all over your body.
And no the shocks they give us brand new.sealed packed ones.

They are working, mate. The shocks are not hard. My bike is due for first service, will have it checked. I'm skeptical about replacing though.

• My experience with Pulsar 200 AS

In my 900 odd kms of ownership of blue Pulsar 200 AS shod with MRF tyres I've truly fell in love with this motorcycle. Are there any flaws? Yes there are some niggling issues. But it doesn't make me regret my decision of buying this awesome piece of machinery. Here are some of the things that I love and some that... well not hate... but love a bit less (I won't dare to hate this motorcycle, after all its too good a value for money proposition to be hated).
Note: I've shared my personal experience and opinion, it might not seem logical nor justifiable to anyone else but me.

What I absolutely love:

1. Linear and manageable power delivery, this bike gives you plenty of power to appreciate without overwhelming you while you're at it.
2. Headlights are a boon during night rides, the low beam is adequate for the city and high beam lights up the whole world.
3. No, the turning radius is not SUV-ish, but most definitely you'll feel the weight of the bike while pushing it around while parking.
4. Handling, I can go on and on about how good the handling is. The feedback from the chassis and tires are phenomenal. I can easily approach a curve, shift a cog down, lean over and I know in the back of my mind that the chassis and suspension will take care of the rest.
5. Brakes are awesome, no matter how hard I press the levers, the brakes never seems to lock up. For once I had to brake really hard to cause it to fishtail, that too it was during a wet ride. But, the best part is that I felt that I was in command even when there was a slight fishtailing.
6. Wet grip with MRF Zappers is awesome, I could easily cruise at 86 kmph @ 6000 rpm in 6th gear while it was raining cats and dogs and still be able to slow down at a moments notice without a fuss or drama.

The not so great things:

1. Brake and gear levers are not adjustable. I'm still searching for a solution.
2. When I switch off the engine using the kill switch, all electricals turn off. Rahul Devnath has a beautiful DIY to get passed that.
3. Panel gaps/fit and finish, honestly I don't care much about this. After all it costed me 1.01 OTR, what else should I expect when other companies are claiming 80~90k for 150cc machines churning out 14 odd PS. Here we have a machine capable of doing 120 kmph all day, yet we keep on complaining about panel gaps.

Some of my personal usage stats:

Avg FE is around 39 kmpl for me in Pune, MH.
Within the city I mostly keep my revs within 5k RPM, I don't engage 6th cog sometimes
On the highways I keep cruising at 6k RPM which happens to be around 86 kmph (roughly)
I did not run-in as per the owner's manual, I think 48 kmph for 1st 1000 kms and 56 kmph for the next 1000 kmph is like a mad proposition. The other day I had a look into Pulsar 180's Ownership Manual and I found the run in procedure recommended 65 kmph for the 1st 1000 km and 75 kmph for the next 1000 km. I adopted a 500 km run-in sprint as per my convenience, 1st 500 km within 4000 RPM, next 500 km within 5000 RPM, next 500 km within 6000 RPM, up until I hit the rev limiter, beyond which I plan to let the Pulsar express loose.

Why I zeroed down on Pulsar AS 200:

1. Lower maintenance cost compared to similarly spec motorcycle
2. Good FE, 38~40 kmpl is good for me
3. Nice power delivery for both city rides and highway rides
4. Reasonably priced compared to other bikes in similar performance/price segment
5. Great handling
6. Good stock headlamps
7. High speed stability
8. Good handling

Some modifications that I've in my mind:

1. Rahul Devnath's DIY, for bypassing the kill switch cutting off all electricals while the engine is off.
2. HID for the projector 4300K color temperature
3. Pulsar 200 NS' fender eliminator, rear tire hugger and license plate holder
4. Adjustable brake and gear lever
5. Waterproof GPS and holder
Its the fusion of a two wheeled machine & a human being which creates a true biker.

It's upto u to device if your faulty shocks needs to be replaced under warranty. However u should do it

For a new bike, the monoshock will adjust and it might exist for some duration. I have seen some reporting the sound fading off after some time.
For the squeaky sound when running over bumps, etc the swingarm joints shall be lubricated once. This is what the svc does. If nothing solves, the monoshock itself could be the culprit.

I too get the screeching sound from front when rolling the motorbike. But when riding, no.

I think he is having a faulty shocks.his symptoms are same as mine.even if It go for 2000kms the sound was same as it was when it was new.asc told that the more kms it runs it gets fixed but the problem is it never did and he finally agreed to it without any questions .
Also that sound means its not working .he might see its having a rebound but it doesn't work at all.I drove for 2k kms and it was pretty hard all the time .finally when they replaced it in warranty and when I took a ride I was like "DYYAAMMMN IS THIS THING AS SMOOTH AS MERCEDES"" [emoji5]
