Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
New bikes will generate more heat. But generally running in first three gears with speeds of <60 will generate more heat and fan kicking... I had yday too due to new year traffic.Originally posted by ganesh25 View PostToday I'm going to do my first free service.... Okie bro I will tell the mech abt the tappet noise.... Then my bike feel like lack of petrol sometimes.... Engine is getting really hot even though I drive below 60kmph I can't even imagine the heat while driving at 100kmph.... I hope all my problems get solved today during the first service

Don't worry.. That's why bajaj says, will all manufacturers say always go to topv gear when possible

Hid is a lot of headache dont you think a led bulb will generate good light and will be a ready fitOriginally posted by jbm_guy View PostYou will need a H4 socket for halogen replacement. HIDs means, no socket [emoji3]. Do you want to replace halogen stock or HID?

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hi guys i clocked around 300kms in my AS200, i am riding at 45-50kms speed(4k rpm) & some times i did 65-70, is that normal ??
or am i do i need to restrict always below 40 speed??? feeling some vibes in bike. & have faced some issues like others mentioned: noise from monoshock, headlamp adjustment isnt proper, havent faced any left tilting issue, got delivery with MRF tyres,
give some thoughts
thank you

Yes HIDs are fancy, but troubles a lot of other riders.... Leds also do the same but will harm slightly less.Originally posted by hypergamer View PostHid is a lot of headache dont you think a led bulb will generate good light and will be a ready fit
You can switch to led without projector which should be ready pick and replace. But led projectors need the same procedure as HID. Without projector, you won't get the throw.
I'd advice to stick with stock or go for 100/90w H4 halogen.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Doing good, keep up. Make sure you don't ride beyond 5k rpm. Once in a while going upto 6k is recommended, ie twice or thrice your ride. But just raise for a sec and bring down. Rest follow as per manual, if not close, still +/- 15% isn't going to be badOriginally posted by vinay3d View PostHi guys i clocked around 300kms in my AS200, i am riding at 45-50kms speed(4k rpm) & some times i did 65-70, is that normal ??

Please double check the bulb type, it should be h7 or other but not H4 since as200 uses 2 separate bulbs for high & low beamOriginally posted by jbm_guy View Post

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Get your shocks changed.its actually not working.same problem I had and they replaced in warranty.if they say they won't then tell them to do it as it is not supposed to make noise.this is a sign of faulty shocksOriginally posted by vinay3d View PostHi guys i clocked around 300kms in my AS200, i am riding at 45-50kms speed(4k rpm) & some times i did 65-70, is that normal ??

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hey guys...completed solo run from Chandigarh to Renukoot with over night halt at Kanpur. Here are my views and problem that I faced. Kindly do help me rectify the issues.
I had my parents take the delivery of the bike and get all necessary documents prepared before I could take leave to come home for a few days and drive the bike back to were i work 1100 km away. Now as i reached home I just wanted to get some Kms on the odo so that I could get the bike serviced. I followed the run in procedure not exceeding 4k rpm for 200km adn got the first free service done. everything was going fine. Took the bike to 5k rpm a few time and boy did the bike accelerate after 5k rpm.
Now I had to start the journey back to Renukoot. I kept the bike between 4k and 6k rpm on the highway giving short bursts, changing gears deliberatly and slowing down and even giving rest to the bike for the next 600km till Kanpur. I was very happy with the instant acceleration and low vibes on the bike. I took the bike to 8000rpm at around 120kmph on yammuna express way for a few seconds then dropped back. I took a halt at Kanpur for the night were I lubed the chain with 3M chain lube and let it soak in for the night.
Now this is were the problem begins. As I tried starting the bike the next day at 6am the bike just refused to start. I tried turning the idling screw to make the bike keep running as it would turn on and die after a few seconds. Later I noticed someone had turned off the fuel knob. So the bike did start and I started my journey. Only now I felt the bike had a loss of power it was still doing 70kmph at 5000rpm or so but the acceleration was slightly less. As i reached my destination I did an oil change at 1600km as a precaution using genuine bajaj dtsi oil.
Today bike has done around 1700km in total so I did try to go around 9000 rpm but the bike was barely able to keep 115kmph at slight inclined road but went upto 130 downhill. But I feel that I have to open the throttle a lot now to let the bike come to 100kmph.
Everytime I exceed rpms of 5000 I do it gradually from the very first km i drove this bike. The nearest reliable service center is 150km away so I need you guys to suggest what could be wrong. have i ruined my engine for good as I did not follow the run in procedure by the book?? I am quite tense about it. Also I dont think there is any tappet noise as of now so that could not be the problem.
Second problem that I had was the suspension was too stiff for long stretches of bad roads as I had severe pain in back due to rough roads and sometimes the bike would vibrate so much on bad roads that it would blur my vision and had to slow down drastically while other motorists zoomed by me. I dont hear any weird noise from front or back shockers so what could be the cause?Last edited by Anubhav M; 01-03-2016, 10:35 AM.

Seems like you have messed up with your stock Carb setting or it might only be the bad quality petrol.Originally posted by Anubhav M View PostAs I tried starting the bike the next day at 6am the bike just refused to start. Using Motul 5100 Semi synthetic will reduce the vibrations.
The stock rear suspension settings are firm you can soften it at SVC but that will solve your issue marginally it won't be plush as Active.
