got my 2nd free service for my AS200 at 4560KM yesterday (what a way to spend christmas ). I went to pratap bajaj chandigarh for this service having been frustrated with Nitya bajaj, solan, from where i bought the bike and got my first service done.
But i was hopelessly let down again. Firstly, i reached at around 11:30 AM and im attended at around 12:15 PM! Work does not start (except washing till 3 PM).
Then they say there is some problem with the system and I will have to pay charges for paid service. I did not want to pay up and asked them to give it to me in writing. Then they ask me for first service proof and sale proof (thank god i had all the papers with me). I was shown that my bike's Chassis No was shown as still belonging to the bajaj dealer. They have to change it on their system when they sell it and all the service record is with them. But the solan dealer had not done that even after 6 months!! After lots of calls and headscratching they were able to sort that problem. The service guy then found two bolts missing on the front sprocket (probably done on first service).

The SA on the job card already mentioned that the bike will need engine oil top-up. I was doing the system thing when they filled 200ml of engine oil !! dont know why! It was already fine to begin with. The coolant was close to min level but above it, so coolant was also topped up.
Both engine oil and coolant were overfilled! The coolant was over the the max mark and completely filled the window, even the engine oil was 2-3mm above the max mark on the window. I pointed that out to the mechanic but he said its okay. I asked him again to remove some coolant. He reluctantly agreed. He opened some screw at the bottom and some coolant started spurting out. Then he said coolant is bad for engine parts and it will cause harm to the engine and rubber components. I let it be and asked him to just complete the service.

When i reached back home i could feel a burning smell and i looked at the engine to see a lot of oil around the engine for the first time in six months!! Was so sad and wanted to go back and whack them but SVC would be closed by the time i would reach.

Do i let it be now, or is it bad and should i get the engine oil changed?
What about the coolant? Even the SVC was not comfortable removing it, will a roadside mech be able to handle it?

Ive already ridden about 30KM. Can i wait and ride for ~100KM before looking at these things or can they cause harm? should i get them addressed immediately?
Gosh I was at pratap chandigarh today for center stand. I was going to get my bike serviced on monday from there. Plus they messed up something in the bike when I asked for clutch adjustment. Now the bike abruptly shuts off when I give sudden acceleration or when I press the clutch. Please help

Same gear issue, could not gear down the bike after sudden breaking but that was just twice. Second big problem was my right ankle was killing me after 50 km because of the awkward position of foot peg and brake lever. Please tell me how to fix this issue anyhow. Half the time I was not using rear breaks just because of the same reason. Any diy for the same?
This is a big let down for me as I fsced accute pain in my ankle. I wonder if I use riding boots it will be even more combursom.
Stopping to zero without progressive downshift will require some effort and not that easy to bring it to neutral. Everything is mechanical right, so gears need some movement to work. It's highly not possible in all times to downshift without easy (Depends on which angle the gear is positioned). For example, at times finding neutral becomes challenging, but when you move forward or backward, it slots easily. It's not the bike's fault, so you can be calm...

For riding position, this bike provides upright and forward positioned footpegs compared to R15 or CBR. I too would normally feel pain after 30-45 mins. And I would take a break. But you are pointing out right ankle, so you can do some DIY.

Weren't you suppose to replace oil? (though Bajaj recommends top up). It's good to replace oil rather than top up as the drain interval would already be 4500 km. Don't know why Bajaj says "top up", that too for a performance motorbike.

Coming to your problem, excess oil will overflow which is nothing to worry. Check first if the oil levels are within the mark.

I keep it under pillion seat with folding it in good plastic cover
The sound is possibly nothing but your toolkit. I had the same problem. It went away when I removed my toolkit. Lol.

Excuse me bro, but isn't 450Km non-stop ride too too long for anybody on a motorcycle?. And for that sake, any motorbike will make it painful that long.

I hope one needs rest at least every 100-150 Km range. If not, then you must be one exceptional extraordinary physique guy

                      Hi Guys,

Sorry for the delay. Its a simple fix. Just remove the brake pedal and set it slightly higher than the position you are comfortable with. Coz AS 200 doesn't have an adjustable stopper, its a fixed one. Now you will have a lot of play with the pedal.

You might also have to adjust the pin that goes to the brake reservoir (Small red circle).

Now to arrest the ply in the rear brake, take a small washer or anything of that thickness and place it on the pedal stopper (below pic, circled red) and tape it and check if you are ok with position and tape / stick the washer and you are good to go.

Rear brake light switch would be unusable. It might work if we do some jugad, but for now i have left it that way.

i don't want to insert new lights of change in wiring. thinking to upgrade current setup with HID LID or any bulb change.
please help if anyone one did.
absence of kick is making me scared to play with battery usage.

Jump start is easier, you can try with gear 2. What you need to understand is, HIDs are fancy, but not as good as Halogen. They are over hyped on the internet (Either to boost sales or so). In my honest opinion as per my experience, HIDs are useless (Unless you buy from a good brand like say Philips, Hella which usually cost more than 6000). Plus, the color beyond 3700 Kelvin seems to saturate with other sources. On dark road, these white lights look good, and make every tiny object on road visible, but when you interface with other headlights or street lamps, it seems dull and not providing proper visibility. AS200 has a good Halogen projector, better stick to that or you can try using both low+high beam to gain more light (but need to careful).

Don't worry as this isn't an FI bike, so the max that you may hurt is Battery discharge and some wire burns, which you can fix it easily.
