Just wanted to double check, Duke and AS,RS and NS have the same brake pads, right?

BTW, went for second service, Non of the issues were fixed.

    According to them,

    1. Fairing vibration is normal for this bike
    2. Bikes is perfectly fine, no issues with gears and bike switching off
    3. They cannot change the suspension setting (but i forced to change it softer one, they apparently don't know which way is soft and which way is hard)
    4. They don't stock oil filters but force to change oil (anyways, i switched to Motul 300V)
    5. Asked them to adjust the high beam, bet they wouldn't have done that

Bike is idling at 3k RPM when hot and 1.8-2k when cold. Just brought it down to 1.6k when hot. Will check in the evening and see how it idles when cold.

Anyways, am tired of these SVC morons. I'll find a different SVC or may start doing things myself.

In my honest opinion as per my experience, HIDs are useless (Unless you buy from a good brand like say Philips, Hella which usually cost more than 6000). Plus, the color beyond 3700 Kelvin seems to saturate with other sources. On dark road, these white lights look good, and make every tiny object on road visible, but when you interface with other headlights or street lamps, it seems dull and not providing proper visibility. AS200 has a good Halogen projector, better stick to that or you can try using both low+high beam to gain more light (but need to careful).

Don't worry as this isn't an FI bike, so the max that you may hurt is Battery discharge and some wire burns, which you can fix it easily.
what about LED or upgrading to high power like 55 to 70+ light .
if battery got out of charge , bike will not start so i m scared yr

So I was cruising at 80kmph yesterday on the highway, slightly lost in thought, when the huge truck in front of me started braking and slowing down fast, in the middle lane. It didn't have brake lights, I think. Seemed like the truck driver wanted to make a U-turn.
Lost in my thoughts, even I hadn't noticed that there was a partition in the middle of the road used for U-turns. Usually there are exits on the left on a national highway.

Anyway, I came back to full focus and started braking. I felt my front tyres wobble like crazy and just barely maintained control and curved around the right of the truck. I think I went from 80kph to 20kph pretty abrubptly.

So I'm sure I'm not the best rider, so that must be a factor in bike control. But the wobbling of the front wheel - is that due to lack of ABS? Or due to the stock tyres? Or is it completely because of lack of skill? Or some other factor?

This bike has a tendency to do it. It's normal. Nothing wrong with your skill.
Yes change to better tyres but this bike does it

I think, its due to the uneven break oil pressure on the disc plate caused by the ordinary rubber break lines .

This problem was also faced in the earlier pulsar 220 dts fi models ,latter its changed to the steel braided lines in new pulsar220 dts i & the problem is now much lesser .

Duke 200 have steel braided break lines but as200 dont have it .

Use a steel braided line from ktm duke 200 or pulsar 220 if its technically possible .

Just go ahead with the run in procedure. It's common at this point of time. Ask the mech to adjust tappets at first free service.
