Can someone give me a collated preview in the run in process. It would be my first bike. I have less that 24hr riding experience to be honest.

    So far I understand that

    a) Keep it below 4k RPM till 500km and that's when it goes to the first service. Post 500km can rev it upto 5k RPM? Or is it post 1k km it can be reved upto 5k RPM? The run in would end at 2k km. So when can it be reved upto 6k RPM?

    b) Don't change engine oil till 5k km. Later planning to change it to Motul 7100 20W50. Till then Bajaj DTSI should do just fine.

    c) Add washers to the bolts on the wind screen.

    d) Expect vibes. Not much of a bother for me.

    e) First to Third on the AS are short and then it's tall.

    f) MRF tires at least. Hoping the dealer keeps his word and gets me the MRF tires. Not counting on it though.

    g) Need some help with the gear. I've got no clue which one to get. Helmet, gloves, jacket. Most of my rides after the run in would be on the NH8. Any suggestions?

    h) Main stand costs around ₹650 w/ labor.

    i) Might have to adjust the high beam, heard it shoots to the moon.

    j) Can someone help me with the PDI for my AS200. Pics would really help as this would be my first bike.

    What I'm scared of

    a) Gears getting stuck. Is that an issue with most or bike specific?

    b) Slight lean to the left. Is there a fix?

    c) Can cushions be added for the pillion? Heard it's a bit too hard cuz my girl would ride with me

    d) Console lights switching off when the engine is off. I travel back home at night and I've been riding my friends Fazer which keeps getting off during stop start (Not a bike issue, still learning how the clutch works)
    a) yes. Try to keep it between 4 and 5 during run in. Revving once a while for few seconds is okay, especially if you're on Highway. Need to keep varying the rpm.

    b) I changed mine to motul 5100 15w50 after run in. Bajaj oil is something I'd avoid. It's good only for run in. I don't really care about warranty but my bike.

    c) Definitely!

    d) it's a semi faired bike. It will never be completely vibe free.

    e) Yes, need to change gear more often. While downshifting, try to practice rev matching during clutch press in and then release.

    f) MRF would be good. But Euro is not that bad if you plan to change it later and don't ride too aggressively.

    g) Get any dot or ece approved helmet. Mt, hjc, (avoid ls2). Jackets and others are must too. Brand choice and type differs as per your rides.

    h) It cost me 550 with labour.

    i) Mine's perfect from beginning

      Problems and solutions

      a) Happens at times. But not that frequent. It's totally random for me.

      b) For most owners I've seen, the fix seems to be loosening the cone a bit. Reduces stress on right hand.

      c) Seats are fine for daily commute. But for long tours, you might want to add gel padding.

      d) This thing never happened with me. Might be something to do with wiring.

How often should one bleed the brakes and/or change brake oil? But force of my front disc seems to have reduced as of lately.

1st check worn out pads, then check brake oil or bleed. Also if everything is fine do check is master kit need to be replaced, costs RS. 216 and rs. 150 labour (thats what they charge me also when bike given for service WTF!!)

Moto 101 is your best bet store in Mumbai. Go for MT helmets. Value for money!

Just completed my angel eye, and removed all of the silver decals from the bike, and gave her a bath! Slowly but surely coming together, just waiting for my exhaust now

Thank you sir.. I ordered the engine guard locally (Philippines), and no, it's 1 screw on each side and 1 screw underneath and that's it.

I was asked to wait for at least 10 days of I wanted MRF. Even then he was not sure if I'd get it. Couldn't wait for it. I'll be getting my bike tomorrow with Eurogrips. Will be looking got a trade off at a decent price.

Any estimates of what a fair trade off would be?

Any clue how long would it take for the passing in Mumbai?

Should I go to a local mech to fit the washers?

What profile and which brand tires should I go for?

Mate, I would say wait for MRF's (push the dealer for MRF batch) , because you will save a lot of time, money on tyres.

Michelin Pilot Street radial is the best. It would cost around 9.5k for a pair.
