Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Yes, it is... After looking rides the oil was foamy.. I showed a local mech, he said it will settle down after sometime. Things were back to normal in half an hourOriginally posted by Hunterkol View PostBro, there is formation of foam (bubbles) and the bike is on center stand. That's what worrying me, the foam and bubbles. Is that normal?

Since you are facing way too much vibrations than most of us, try getting your Tappets (Valve Clearance) adjusted.
Go through this page, if the issues you are facing fit the bill : Tappet (Valve Clearance) Adjustment for Bajaj Pulsar 200NS | Nex Gen BikesIt's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Yes .. because there is no point. Your bike cannot stay running at 500 rpm bhai. The moment you about 1000-1050 on the tacho, your engine would shut off. So there is no point actually.Originally posted by vrnmhjn View Post
Has anyone ever noticed? There is no graduation mark for indicating 500 rpm. It starts directly from 1000 after 0.

I understand. I only mean to point out here is that, the 0 to 1000 scale doesn't match with the rest. I hope now I am making any sense.Originally posted by GauravD View PostYes .. because there is no point. Your bike cannot stay running at 500 rpm bhai. Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Guys have a weird problem with the bike which even the svc guy has not been able to reslove. I have to give a twist to the accelerator more than half to start the bike everytine I leave it for like 5 minutes or more no matter how warm the engine is. The idling is ok at 1.5k rpm and the fuel efficiency has dropped to less than 30. If I increase the idling the bike starts up fine but then the bike idles at around 2.5k. Also when the bike starts it idles at 1k for a second and then increases to 1.5 to become steady. Without using the accelerator no matter how many times I crank up the engine the bike does not start. Earlier the bike used to start up in half a crank or so but now its getting on my nerves.
Currently done 8000km and recently serviced and switched to motul (problem has been there before the service).
Please assist.Last edited by Anubhav M; 06-17-2016, 05:46 PM.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Sal, I am grateful to you to enlighten me about how the engine of our bikes work. Thank you. I understood that the issue is not with valves, it is with AFR setting, air filters and spark plugs. This link also solved my handle issues.Originally posted by Sal View PostHunterkol

To the eye, yes. Scales don't match. But the calibration has been done accordingly.Originally posted by vrnmhjn View PostI understand. I only mean to point out here is that, the 0 to 1000 scale doesn't match with the rest. I hope now I am making any sense.

Yes there is a smell.of gasoline but not always. Does it mean choke is engaged ? Can it be resolved without visiting svc?Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostFaulty choke mechanism/throttle body/bad air filter. Does the exhaust smell of gasoline?
