Yes, it's even worth more than that. And for your info, this bike now costs about ~1.08L

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
What build quality issues do you face or have seen?. Some panel gaps in fairing?, cheap plastics?, headlights?. Look the bike on flesh and you would not say another word for the money you pay. There are some niggles, but that's everywhere with all bikes. The engine is refined enough to live with. You wouldn't notice much. The next better bike would be CBR250 which is 2.2L on-road.Originally posted by imehumvishal View Post

i also like this bike and wanted a fair discussion not an argument, just pointing out some issues i found which should not have been in this price segment
- no lights switches on when engine is off [electricals]
- indicator switch gear [p220 was better]
- Eurogrip tyres for cost cutting
- hard pillion seat [nothing to do with stability if they have provided softer seat]
- and those panel gaps [i mean why ?]
Build quality is not only about the grade of plastic you are using. It signifies the amount of Research you have done to make your product bug free.

Yes you are right.I mean I see the gaps all over the bike but then its cool.it cells well with the bike.not that it looks bad or distracting.Originally posted by imehumvishal View PostSir

Bajaj really is kind of a Raw company.they don't give much attention to small detailing but what they do is pretty much different and no one can attain it.For eg the projectors.none can give it and Bajaj does it In style .nearest is R15 but the lights are led and all over the place.r15 has incredible detailing but then it lacks on power pillon etc.
So my point is yes they don't give the finishing of Japanese rivals but they doesn't ever compromise on core values or electronics or engine .

- no lights switches on when engine is off [electricals]
To protect your battery from discharge, as no kicker is provided. So your sole dependency is on starter. Push start isn't for faint heart.
- indicator switch gear [p220 was better]
Yes, it was. After getting used to, I don't feel a thing
- Eurogrip tyres for cost cutting
That's bad. Cost cutting. There were some batches with MRF
- hard pillion seat [nothing to do with stability if they have provided softer seat]
You can add a cushion if required. All sports bikes get the same treatment, esp split seats. Maybe MOJO has better ones
- and those panel gaps [i mean why ?]
Quality issue. Fit and finish has never been perfect with Bajaj.
Build quality is not only about the grade of plastic you are using. It signifies the amount of Research you have done to make your product bug free.
to mean I was not initiating argument. Moreover your big fonts looked as if you have a huge list of complains to sue Bajaj
As I said, yes there are some niggles. But safety compromises are not there, at least for this bike (Hope you are aware about RS alloy wheel). And for some of your issues, it can be fixed (for your peace of mind). But the other positives over weigh the negatives. Considering RS200 (which is about ~45K costlier besides carrying the same) AS200 is worth every penny. If you are not focusing on 200cc, you can prefer Gixxer SF which doesn't give much room for most of your concerns.Last edited by jbm_guy; 10-08-2015, 07:19 PM.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hello all
Am posting here after a really long gap. In lookout for a new ride. Zeroed in on AS200. Went through the thread and now I am aware what to expect. I have been riding a RE Tbird for past 13 years all over our beautiful country. But right now I don't have the luxury to hit the highway on every long weekend. So make sense to sell the bird and buy something new. Yes - can't lie - I too dream about KLR650, BMW F650 and recently Versys 650 and Tiger. But till then needed something to commute from point A to B. Old itch die hard - so hopefully will meet some of you AS200 riders soon on the highway

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
I upped front and rear to 110/70 and 140/70 using Michelin Pilot Street radial. Very nice gripsOriginally posted by deebee View PostThe Michelin India website doesn't list the front 100/80-17 as an option for the Pilot Street. (The rear 130/70-17 is listed under Pilot Street, though.)
The only option seems to be the Pilot Sporty for the front - is it any good? Michelin's description seems to ominously suggest a hard/durable/low grip compound, which I'm trying to avoid - "Heavy-duty tyres for urban and rugged road use on bikes up to 250cc. Pilot Sporty tyre offers an exceptional price/performance ratio."
I'm running a Sirac Street rear on my P150, and it's rubbish.

On the AS? Interesting. How has the handling changed?Originally posted by Kaal Bairav View PostI upped front and rear to 110/70 and 140/70 using Michelin Pilot Street radial. Very nice grips
I'm not really looking at an upsize - I'd like to stick with the stock sizes

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
You still have one more option... MOJO 300. It directly rivals thunderbird and will be 100 times better than TBD350. Also advance booking before launch will get you upto 20,000 INR discount and a good helmet + riding gear. I'm suggesting, as you come from TBD and you will feel the lack of the torque in AS200, but not with Mojo.Originally posted by rockyb View PostHello all

Kindly ignore if you have already bought AS200.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Done with 1450 kms on my bike.
Wondering when can I rip her up to check her top potential (my patience has reached its limits now)??
And well had got her serviced at 400 kms (1st service) so the wrench symbol is till being displayed. Any method to remove it from my console???

You can start riding now at 6-7K RPM. Don't jump to test the top end.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Today I experienced something different. When the petrol came to reserve and as i changed the knob, i felt like the power has increased. this might sound crazy. but yes. In petrol on mode..i felt something was holding back bikes power. but when i turned to reserve i felt the throttle more open and the bike getting freed from tied rope. Can any body help me telling whats going on..should i be worried ?

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Seriously?. I always fill after hitting reserve, and have never experienced so. One remote possibility is on full tank and empty, there is added weight difference. But still I don't understand your case.Originally posted by santhoshamazon View PostToday I experienced something different.
