        Ya that may be due to the Top end of the NS200 which makes it feel Calm at high speed jaunts. Gixxer and the FZs for the segment need have their torque at the lower and Mid range due to which the Top end really sucks. Gixxer has a nice gutsy top end(for its segment) but for FZ the engine does feel stressed post 80-85kmph.
        For city commutes and occasional ride on twistes Gixxer is the best.
        For that hooliganism city rides and loooooong Highway ones NS200 is the pick.

          Lol! I get pretty much the same figures. As you rightly pointed out, my Fuel gauge...err Falling stock price... rushes towards the empty line like there is no tomorrow!
          One moment I see 3 bars and then after half hr of spirited riding, it drops down to 0! I guess all digital gauges are the same....
          My concern is that even when I see 0 bars, i open the tank to see enough petrol to run the Titanic for a day!

          No. I don't think excess coolant has anything to do with this. The same happened to me as well. I adjusted the idle screw to 1.4, hot. Now it stays put at 1.6 max, even after a session of hard riding. I would suggest you to do the same.

            Mmm.. Yamaha FZ FI version, for some mileage or other unknown reasons, has been under powered and hence you can feel the lack of power beyond 80, where as Gixxer is good to go 90-100 a bit well. But any day for a 150cc motor, it's good to stay within the comfort zone of 70-90 kph. A 200cc engine can definitely do 110-120 kph and so on.

            200NS on the other side, is a great looking street fight, agile, powerful, flexible, nimble, good stability, ~50:50 ratio perfectly balanced Bikini faired sexy naked bike.

            But for some stupid sales and AS\RS promoting reasons, Bajaj has stopped it. Very unrealistic for a good bike that short lived for less than 3 years. I hope and wish at least the newer Pulsars will have a good life time.

              You're right. I adjusted the idle, and now it never exceeds 1.6k, even after a high-rpm ride. Dunno how it could've been adjusted incorrectly earlier

                  Let's just assume that some things in life are best left unknown....
                  Maybe a bad tune by SVC, factory or poor QC/PDI while delivery. Reasons can be numerous, what matters is that you have solved it sir!

                    This carb tuning is like a trial and error. At least for many service mechanic. So to get the solution for this, you have to keep tuning again and again which is a tiresome process.

                    So if your bike is in good condition, when you give for the service, ask them not to touch the carb for god's sake. I hope [MENTION=72200]xplod566[/MENTION] has recently learnt a good lesson carb related with the svc guy.

                    However idling adjustment is not that sort of a problem, as it is even mentioned in user manual too.

                      Any suggestions about upgrading the tyres? Are there any specific MRF/Michelin models that you recommend? NS owners might be in a better position to comment on this, given that they've probably been through a few tyre replacement cycles already.

                      There's some life left in the Eurogrips, and a cash crunch is preventing me from replacing the tyres right away. The TVS rubber is acceptable on dry, well-paved roads - but on wet roads/loose rubble/sand/mud, it's a heart-in-mouth experience. I've had a few Gilette-level shaves this monsoon.

                            For front sporty is good and for rare go for street because sporty for rare is sh*t as compare to street and for looks u cn try 140 section [emoji6]

                              R15v2 rear tires I think MRF Revz S is good too.

                                Ok Guys, After reading this whole thread. I found this bike has major build quality and cost cutting issues but it has a much much more powerful engine (though not refined enough)

                                Now, Lets figure out the real question:

                                Is this 'Bajaj' bike worth Rs. 1 Lakh ?
