Cant really say, could be the afr. And yeah, bad fuel also can be the cause.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostI got it serviced at khivraj Kasturba.I feel pickup is low all over the bike.at any gear at any speed ,specially lower speeds.could it be chain or AFR?It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

1. Press mode button and select trip2 meterOriginally posted by Tejas Jha View PostRoger that [emoji4]
well theres no mention abt that in the user manual.. n "trip2+3sec" does not work.
2. Press mode+trip2 buttons together for >5 seconds continuously
Note, the bike must not move and the engine should be turned off. This is as per 200NS manual and definitely will work for AS/RS.

I don't think so. Hasn't anyone have created a new thread for AS150 yet?.Originally posted by ravi_m View PostAny 150As owner here...

Turn the idle settings screw so that rpm reaches about 3000 rpm. Now tune the air/fuel screw to make the mixture leanest as possible. Please refer to the above whether you must turn the screw clockwise or anti clockwise.OK the engine is running and the mixture is lean. If you notice from the engine sound OR if you see the tachometer, the engine RPM will not be steady at this point. Now very slowly start turning the fuel screw anti-clockwise, quarter to 1/8th turn at a time. You will notice that the RPM increases slowly and steadily. Again, do this very very slowly. Also count the total number of turns as you wind out the screw. It may take a few iterations before you fix a setting as permanent. Try calculating the mileage per liter and tally it with your setting and the feeling you get

It costs about 6K more than a Pulsar 180, both produce 17 BHP, and I dont see where the extra money goes.
But I would recommend starting a what bike thread.
Hey bro have you taken AS150MOM SAYS NO RACE PLSSS :)

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Well I had a pulsar 180.my experience with it was absolutely terrible.the engine was good but you will feel u drive a 2010 year engine.its unrefined.then there are a host of problems .slow pickup ,paint peeling off the engine bike sways after some km etc etc.don't ever think ,of that bike.its probably a nominee for one of the worst bike until you do a lot of DIY to fix glitches.headlight just sucks donkeys balls!Originally posted by HyperRetard View PostNah. Decided to wait for January, so that I get a 2016 bike.
But it seems unlikely that I will got for the AS.
AS is great build quality, excellent build quality, good mid and better high range.you get perimeter frame etc.lots if goodies and it surpasses the 6000 range by a huge margin.however gixxer has better speed alover S150.only if you are not into projectors gixxer should be your choice.
But if you can just extend your budget till 1.10lakhs then AS200 is the sweetest deal of all.fat tyres, both disks, incredible linear speed range all over the Rev meter till the red line and it would push a little further.I can pretty much guarantee you if other vendors wants to make a feature packed bike like 200as at this price range its gonna take them at least 3 more years.

1: Sorry to know about your bad experiences mate, and the heads up is appreciated.
2: Well, technically it is a 2010(maybe older) engine.
3: Again, thanks for the warning
4: The Gixxer is not my choice anyway. I'm like 6 foot tall, and equally broad(and overweight)
5: That wont be possible. I was at 60K, now extended to 80K with a lot of difficulty
The AS 150 has shit gearing. Loses out to the Gixxer despite having 17 BHP. (check motorbeam test) Also peak power at 9500 RPM. What are you building? a track tool or a "adventure" bike? They made a good engine, and messed up the gearbox big time.
Infact now I'm in a tricky situation
P180 = problems
A180 = small bike (or maybe tall me)
FZ v2 = 90K (are they mad?)
FZ v1 = maybe
Gixxer = same as apache
Unicorn 160/trigger = maybe (but they are uncle's bikes)
suzuki gs150r = discontinued
so for me, the options remain as150, FZ v1 and P180, and maybe GS150.

No not FZv.1. Its mileage is bad on top of that lacks power one of my friend pur K&N and rejected still doesn't go above 110.plus it sucks fuel like blood!Originally posted by HyperRetard View Post1: Sorry to know about your bad experiences mate, and the heads up is appreciated.

Try the Gixxer SF once .that only meets tour requirement .I think it's gonna look good at you ,fairings looks cool to tall people .AS150 doesn't that pretty from back coz of slim tyres and yes gearing is terrible.
P180 no way.you saw my experience.Its poor.
I think you stay near HAL.opposite to New Shanti sagar in domlur there is Suzuki showroom.try the Gixxer SF there once.you might like it

Bad to hear and even hard to spot AS150 on streets. All i see today is either the damn Gixxer or the classic 350Originally posted by HyperRetard View Post1: Sorry to know about your bad experiences mate, and the heads up is appreciated.

. Even the couple of Bajaj showrooms that I visit, I used to ask about AS150, but I get saying that AS200 and RS200 sells more. And I even get a weird feeling, that I still used to keep seeing many new old gen Pulsars (Those white colors launched) with flowers coming from a temple or showroom, while not even a single AS150. In all these days, I hope I may have hardly seen 3 or 4 AS150. That's it. I mean in Chennai, where you can find flock of two-wheeler.
Well, Bajaj couldn't shine well like they did with their previous gen Pulsar 150. They thought a hike in power figures could move a muscle. But people don't seem to be impressed with those fairing and high reving engine. Also another great impact is, most of the review (on internet, media) praised a lot about Gixxer and AS150 only next. Even an Unicorn 160 will beat AS150 easily.
Now coming to your prob, budget is what that determines everything. I'd strongly advice you to wait for Honda hornet (Dual-disc) which is expected to hit in few months. Unicorn 160 would be perfect fit, but hey no Uncles. I see many office goers daily in my 12 KM commuting distance. At least 7-8 easily daily. If you expect style, Gixxer stands first. Wait for Honda hornet, and of course the prices will be a bit high. But it's not like now or never. You wait a few months, get some extra cash and go munch your bike once launched.
As of today, AS200 is the only cheapest but the best motorcycle the money can buy for you...!!! Every peny counts for performance and happiness (If 200NS is not launched again
). Even RS200 is not a good VFM product. Maybe it will change once TVS launches K03 (BMW Back end).

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
No yet bought. Technically I agree with your suggestion, I am also a Mahindra loyal customer for long time but Mojo looks plain ugly. Saw it the other day up close on the road. It looks like made from parts from different bikes. Moreover AS200 will not a replacement my good ole TB 350. Lets say it will be a companion in between till I go for more ccOriginally posted by jbm_guy View PostYou still have one more option... MOJO 300. It directly rivals thunderbird and will be 100 times better than TBD350. Also advance booking before launch will get you upto 20,000 INR discount and a good helmet + riding gear. I'm suggesting, as you come from TBD and you will feel the lack of the torque in AS200, but not with Mojo.
Kindly ignore if you have already bought AS200.

Honestly, i don't want the AS150 to sell at all.. If it does, there will be a lot of AS'es and the AS200 will become just another Pulsar 150.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostBad to hear and even hard to spot AS150 on streets. All i see today is either the damn Gixxer or the classic 350

Hahaha....I understand your pain... I felt the same when they said they were going to release 150NS. I was shocked. But by stopping 200NS, NS owners feel the exclusivity
which is unbeatable. I know the pain of some Duke and RC 390 owners :-)
By the way, Bajaj might stop the new AS150 and may also retain old gen Pulsars as it still out sells, like P220 sold over 200NS (People thought 20 cc more means faster, common sense huh :-) )Last edited by jbm_guy; 10-13-2015, 12:22 PM.
