    Guys,
Has anyone tried to fit a similar Mobile holder (images below) on the bike? Does it fit anywhere on the handle bar?

It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

Hey, I fixed a similar phone mounting clamp on my AS recently. The main issue is that it is near impossible to get clearance to clamp that thing securely.
I initially wanted to clamp it to the handlebars, behind the windscreen, but that is not possible due to the clip-ons and plethora of wires.

The only place you can clamp this is to the rear view mirror stalk, near the bottom. Make sure the clamp is firm and securely held in place. I did the same.

An easier alternative would be to buy the phone holders which screw in at the bottom of the rear view mirror stalk and have an extendable neck to adjust angle, direction, etc. Let me know how it turns up.

          Hello people!

I have few issues to discuss :-

          • My rear disk is giving me nightmares.... The screeching has become louder than a jet engine these days! All the SVC does is rub the brake pads with sandpaper, resulting in loss of braking power and screeching noise. Braking power and the noise come back within 2 weeks of use! Is their a permanent solution?

          • The bike really turns left on lifting the hands off the handlebar! I guess this is the cause of some stability and handling issues i've felt since day 1. I feel that the bike's front is riding on very thin wheels, ready to tip over at slow speeds!

And yes, the bike standing behind is my old bike cd deluxe. i drove for 8 years.

How i closed on 200AS instead of Gixxer

I saw a 2 months old Suzuki Gixxer yesterday on bike selling sites @65000. It was a good deal, immediately contacted the person and took a test drive. Man, I felt the difference between AS200 and gixxer instantly. Gixxer has great ride and build quality, throttle response, pick up, comfort, everything was there. But, It was a city bike Only, when you think in terms of getting you bike to highway/long trip, AS200 seems to be like SUV: calm, stable and yet so much power whenever you needed.

So, if you want a city bike only, go for gixxer. AS, though, is dual purpose with more leaned towards touring.

            First Ride Experience

Came to office today with AS, Here's what i felt :

            • Bike is Tall, I am ~ 5'9 and just able to reach ground with flat foot. But, awesome stability guys, I kept my feet on bike even in busiest traffic (unless red light).
            • Yes, Heat from engine is killing my legs. (But people suggested it will get adjusted with time, till i can enjoy winters with heater on my bike )
            • Engine was really refined then 200NS, Almost Negligible vibes.
            • Gear shifting in not bad, but coming from 6th gear to 2nd on breaker is irritating, though it is due to 6 gears, not fault of bike.
            • Indicator switch is worth mentioning as bad.

              Congrats and happy mile munching....!!!
AS200 is an excellent bike packed with punchy power. Gixxer is good for city but loses it's breath on highway.

Yes this bike is a wonderful bike. The red one looks the best .you can have long highway rides with speeds of 110 without sweating the engine at all.lights are too good for night ride. suspension setup is just perfect, not to mention the power and torque of this bike is very good and peppy.infact its relaxed nature is what sets it apart from other bike in this segment.Gixxer was equally a good bike but its good for a 150cc bike.what differs Gixxer from AS200 is that for Gixxer you have to Rev the Crap out of it if you want to go at 100s,where as with AS its just too easy and relaxed

yeah, but keep your RPM above 6-7K always, and you will feel like a jet propeller pushing you from behind :-)

Yes you are right.I did it today while coming to office but man it just keeps on giving raw power.however if I shift gears at 7K RPM regularly will it harm the engine.
Also on normal city riding where we shift at 4.5k rpm the power is not felt that much right(Compared go 7K shift).why is it so?

7K that is a bit close to red line, try upshifting at around 5.5K rpm. And the power is not felt at the lower RPMs is because the torque kicks in at the higher rpm, hence the bike feels sloppy in lower rpms and punchy at higher revs.

                          Cheers,
                          Sanjay

Okay.will do that.but in lower rps(at least till 4k rpm) the bike feels really sloppy.is it same with all the bikes or only 200ns

Depends on the torque available at the RPM, if you check zmr or pulsar 220 they have torque at the lower rpm range, 200 NS/AS the torque kicks in at a bit higher rpm

For example you can pull a 220 with pillion as low as 3k rpm in 5th gear, that might not be the case with 200 NS.

For instance, pulsar220 has peak torque available at 6K rpm and for NS/AS its around 7-8K.

It all comes to torque available at the range.

Cbr250 has the same issue, its the sloppiest below 5K rpm and after 5k till 8k its a diff bike altogether.

                              Cheers,

Ya I felt like its really sloppy till 3k but once it touches 5k its keeps on generating huge power and torque
