Absolutely. As soon as they have it, I'll definitely get the part number and share it here. I have a feeling it's simply a longer cable that can be routed differently, thus relieving the strain on the handlebar.

You know what its funny. The same problem is there in quite a few NSs too. However personally i feel, if it was a clutch cable length related issue, this should have been present in all NS since they all would use the same length of cable under standard production. Food for thought ?

The 110 part is the width of the tyre that contacts the road that you see when looking from behind the bike. The70/80 part is height of sidewall as percentage of width that you see when looking at bike from the side. The 17/18 part is the rim diameter on which tyre will fit. This is what you cannot change without changing rim.
Search tyre size guide or just look at snapdeal or amazon for tyres. They have a link for sizing.

Any idea about how good is fx1? The tyre shop suggested me that but I hadn't heard of it before so didn't get it. If it comes on fz then it may be good.

Bajaj recommends 20w50. The hot rating is same and the minor diff in cold rating shouldn't create any issues.
Ditto on 7100. During service the SVC had 7100 but I couldn't bring myself to spend so much on it. Also the SVC had bottles with mrp rs. 805. But they said price of new packing is increased so they charge new price of- 1000rs per litre!!!!
Boy oh boy... 1000 bucks a litre for 7100 ??? Dats expensive... I still buy 7100 for my NS at 750 to a liter... :P bought it just the other day... 2015 nov packing as per the can.

Fair enough. So far, I'm going with what the SVC is saying. I can only judge once I see the actual fix

On an unrelated note - I'm riding to North Sikkim next week, where I expect to encounter sub-zero temperatures. If roads are open, I hope to ride up to at least 9,600 feet, unless my bike's Eurogrips get me killed on the way up. A friend will be riding with me, on his 390 Duke.

Anything I should keep in mind? AFR settings? Tyre pressures? Fluids?

This is a CV carburetor so altitude doesn't matter as far as I know.I don't think u need to alter the afr at all.

Never said I bought just 1 liter bro .. I have to buy two cans every fifth refill... but the liter rate out here in Gurgaon is at 750 approx

Sounds good! I'd prefer it if the bike takes care of itself up there, rather than have me screw up some settings

Isnt the CV carb slower than the regular carb on accelerator response since operation of an extra butterfly valve is involved ? If yes, wonder why did Bajaj put it on the AS ; good thing they did not put it on the NS !!

They took the forks off and tried everything (including changing the cone set's ball bearings), but it hasn't really helped. The brake fluid was topped up and brake pads were replaced, which has improved braking performance, but the pads are (again!) brushing against the disc, causing drag on the front wheel.

The SVC says the inconsistent steering behaviour (pulling to left, etc.) is because of the way the clutch cable is routed. Try this - put the bike on main stand, have someone hold down the bike's tail and try swinging the handlebar from left to right, slowly. Mine is sticky on the left side.

There is apparently a fix for this - a different clutch cable, which doesn't foul with the handlebar. The SVC didn't have it in stock.
Are you sure it's the fault of the cables?

I noticed this liquid kind on thing on my tyre when I stopped for a smoke. Bike was parked at a place where I don't think water would've spilled on it.

I'm clueless as to if I it's some kind of fluids leaking from the front end of the bike or am I over thinking?

                            Someone please help

I was by the bike the entire time.

The bike was parked in a building but I rode it for like 10 minutes then I noticed that liquid thing when it was parked.

Don't know stuff. But is there something around that part that may leak??

BTW the I got the bike in a hurry. Do you get anything else with the bike? Like an owner's guide, user manual and stuff.

I really need to know what part does what and how does it look
