Hi Satish,

Since there are lots of prospective buyers like me it would be great if you shared -

1) What are the other issues apart from Bad Suspension that propelled you to sell the bike?
2) Dealer or the SVC where you used to get your bike serviced.
3) It would also be better if you mention what was your previous bike and what your next bike would be.

Because I owned Zma and Xtreme where comfort is good, esp. during long city rides. But now I am a little skeptical about moving to AS/NS may be RS as well.

Thanks

Unfortunately, RTR is not a good choice for me. I'm a big guy and RTR will look too small on me and moreover, from what i read online, RTR isn't the most comfortable bike around especially for long distance touring.

Rtr does not come close to what AS has to offer except for abs. I guess he expected a little too much from the bike and was too impatient to get them fixed. No offence to apache lovers but anyone with a height above 5.10 or a bulky body it would be like a guy riding a donkey. The size of the bike is the biggest deal breaker for most people. No matter how many cosmetic upgrades they give this bike with abs, matt finish, racing dna, ir daytime lights as long as the bike has a tiny road presense it will still be off the list of many.

Mate, you forgot the legendary P220F For big guys like you & me (I myself am 6.1 feet tall) it is the next best motorcycle.

Karizma does not exist as of now. But Auto-Expo will reveal everything, hardly one month away! Lets wait.

After going through all the issues mentioned on this thread, I'm not very keen in opting for the AS. every second post seems to be related to some problem or the other. I have also gone through the NS thread from starting and there arn't many complaints. It gives me an impression that Bajaj has dropped the quality standards when it comes to AS.

Unfortunately there is no alternative to AS in the price bracket. Seems like i need to be content with Gixxer SF.
First things first, this forum is primarily for helping other guys to fix issues. So you will find more questions on terrible but that may not be all [emoji3]

Every bike has its own problem. I have been here from ns initial days. It had faced numerous problems such as
1. Swaying left
2. Loss of pickup at certain rpm band
3. Poor mileage
4. Extreme engine harshness and vibes
5. Some engine ceased cases
6. Too much of carb related small issues which svc never bothered to fix

So after the second generation ns was out, many issues disappeared and only minor issues keep coming up.

AS200 main concern is swaying left, but you can test drive your bike before picking up delivery. But calling entire Model isn't right. Maybe it didn't work well for you or for him onlinesatish. It depends on individuals... No comments

But generally if you consider better quality, then you shouldn't even look at bajaj then. Jap is what you will need. Even kTM is poor too.

In such cases you will be forced to pay over a lac for a mule(Gixxer), not a horse. Otherwise, wait for newer and better bikes... Apache200 is likely to be launched by jan 20... It fortunately has upright riding position.. Or wait for gixxer250.

Yeah p220. But it's too old to buy. Plus you are gonna get plethora of bikes this year. Especially Apache 200, bmw g310r gixxer250, etc.

While i have already started saving money for my BMW, we expect Gixxer 250 as a heavy competition for RS200, with better refined engine plus beautiful look like gsxr1000 plus low cost

True, the major reason why i hate rtr.... But apache 200 will make a big impact to pulsar. That's also why bajaj is forced to bring ns again.

Don't know why Bajaj says "top up", that too for a performance motorbike. Coming to your problem, excess oil will overflow which is nothing to worry. Check first if the oil levels are within the mark.
I replaced oil and filter at ~2500KM, so the plan was to keep it till around 6000km. Oil was above the level that is why i posted. it covered the entire window.

I dont see why you'd actually need to change your oil though. I'd say run it for another 100 kms or so, and let the bike settle itself down.
The oil completely filled the window when on main stand. Even on side stand it was around the max mark. I last changed oil at ~2500km and was planning to run this oil till ~6k KM earlier and then change to motul or something, but didnt feel like taking a chance as i know overfilling engine oil in cars can be very dangerous for the engine. I decided it wasnt worth being tense. So got the engine oil changed to Petronas Syntium 15W50 at a local mechanic. Havent ridden after that so no reviews of how good or bad it is as yet.

Hi, sorry for not replying, was caught in some family work. The SA said that this is a common issue being reported by AS200 and was due to some gasket in fuel tank which needed to be replaced and mentioned it on job order. When i asked the mechanic he said this happens due to cold weather and the RPM needs to be raised to compensate. He raised RPM to ~1.4k cold and ~1.9k hot by turning the idling screw and the issue is gone now.

Don't blame the bike bro.its a brilliant bike and hardly any bike comes near it with the price bracket.however every bike will have problems .just need a good mechanic to fix those

1500 KMs till now and no problems for me dude! Behaves exactly as I want on city roads as well as highways.. Barring a few negative experiences of some people in this thread, many satisfied buyers are out there I suppose.. Just posting to avoid the negativity around this bike..

Happy new year guys..
me and my few friends went on trip to puri on 31st to celebrate new year which is about 390 km from my place. During the journey i faced some minor problems..including amazing experience.they goes like this
1.low quality horns.. in highway people hardly can notice that a beast is screaming behind you..soon going to change the stock with p220 horns.
2. high vibration in between 4k-5k rpm, which was later sorted out,as i was out of tire pressure.
3. POLICE, after a long ride we stopped by a dhaba, we saw 3police men coming towards us and asked 'kahan se aye ho aap long kahan ja rahe ho' we replied gently.. we showed them our license and every related documents.. but still they were searching new issue like this helmet will not work, your documents are r not valid..even they fully ok.. at last he said give some thing and we will let you go.. and we all gave 50 rs each and began our journey again..
GOOD THINGS..
1. the bike did awesome on the trip.. especially when it crossed 5k rpm sound changes and i can feel huge power which the engine is delivering.. and no vibs at all..
2. about economy it gave me 45to 46 kmpl which is pretty awesome..
3. tires did a good job..
4. thanx to the windshield,it helped a lot to cruise at high-speed bringing stability.
5. touched a topspeed of 148kmph.. it may go further but dint had balls to do.. it was scary..
6. brakes, i it is the best that bajaj can offer..no bad comments..
7. lights are great for traveling at night..
8. i am175 cm tall didnt felt any problems with the comfort.. just my bumps got sense less.
Guys one thing i want to add, i to faced many problems with the machine.. thought that i wasted my money but seriously now i feel that it is the best bike any one can get within this price bracket..
if people only searches the bikes issues you cant enjoy machine.. try to love it.. treat it like your family.. maintain it nicely you will surely get good results.. all problems will disappear as you cover more kms on your odo..
and all bikes are not perfect.. you have to adjust with it..
ride safe..

Guys one common issue most people complained was swaying left. I checked bike at delivery and it was not there but now its starting to happen with me as well. I was thinking of driving 150km to mirzapur for getting it checked. Anyone with some insight as to what has to be done would be great help. The low pickup thing i complained earlier seems to be due to excessive slack in the chain that i just inspected which is an easy fix but that is just a wild guess. But the swaying thing needs some permenent fix. I wanted to avoid opening up the faring as i fear it will lead to faring nisoe later. So anyone who has this problem fixed please do share it with us.

The pickup problem was not there and the bike was easily doing 100 but for some reason it started detorating and the run is almost over. I have piled on 1700kms on the odo. It started when i stopped at kanpur overnight all that changed overnight is that i tampered the idle screw due to starting issue which i brought back to normal and also i got the tyre pressure reduced from 28/32 to 25/28(front/rear).
