Using Motul 5100 Semi synthetic will reduce the vibrations.
The stock rear suspension settings are firm you can soften it at SVC but that will solve your issue marginally it won't be plush as Active.
All i did was turn the idling screw which could not have messed up any carb settings for sure. And i have refueled more than six times but that has made no diference

What you are experiencing is problems with Carb.no you didnt mess the AFR tuning .only thing I can think of is probably some dirt or water went inside your Carb and is jammed there messing with the AFR.I believe you also see a roughness whole driving.these are symptoms .
Get to svc and clean the Carb thoroughly. It should fix it.this may be caused due to incorrect fuel in the fuel station.
Regarding engine oil don't switch to motul till 7000 kms.and after that switch directly to 7100.
      Your Run-in is absolutely fine.you didn't
Baby the engine which is good.also I did a lot of engine breaking and most of the time occasional bursts and I still get a mileage of 39 in Bangalore and 42 on highway.....a good symptom of proper engine break-in with good pickup.

I'm thinking to add Bosch horns. How are they? Anyone used them?

Also the engine has lately started to feel present stressed again. Like it's struggling to pull. Not that there's any problem as such. But it doesn't seem as refined and smooth as before. I just changed to semi synthetic yesterday.

Give it some time bro.frankly speaking don't be bothered much about it.there can be N number of reasons.if you give it sometime all these issues will be ironed in couple of thousand kilometers.

It's funny actually. Like my bike has its own mind and mood. At times it is butter smooth, at times it struggles. From what I noticed, it's more happy flying in highways than in cities!

Now this is were the problem begins. As I tried starting the bike the next day at 6am the bike just refused to start. I tried turning the idling screw to make the bike keep running as it would turn on and die after a few seconds. Later I noticed someone had turned off the fuel knob. So the bike did start and I started my journey. Only now I felt the bike had a loss of power it was still doing 70kmph at 5000rpm or so but the acceleration was slightly less. As i reached my destination I did an oil change at 1600km as a precaution using genuine bajaj dtsi oil.
Today bike has done around 1700km in total so I did try to go around 9000 rpm but the bike was barely able to keep 115kmph at slight inclined road but went upto 130 downhill. But I feel that I have to open the throttle a lot now to let the bike come to 100kmph.
Everytime I exceed rpms of 5000 I do it gradually from the very first km i drove this bike. The nearest reliable service center is 150km away so I need you guys to suggest what could be wrong. have i ruined my engine for good as I did not follow the run in procedure by the book?? I am quite tense about it. Also I dont think there is any tappet noise as of now so that could not be the problem.
                Hi Anubhav...

Did you check if something underneath is blocking the air filter? As the altitude changes an AFR tuning would be required,if you stay in a hilly region.
Is there a chance of dew seeping into air filter due to cold weather?

Guys my bike meter console took some time to light up what would be the reason behind it. Service center guys told me that battery is not charged.

Sold my AS200. Tried fixing the problems and learned to live with most of them but bad suspension was taking a toll on my back!

So parted ways with it few hours back!

Switched to Motul 300V, Set the Shocks to the softest setting possible, and also reduced the Tyre pressures but still it was hurting!

These were the final pics that i took of her yesterday!

I don't think the Mukini BS38 needs any change WRT altitude. These are CV carbs and doesn't need any such changes as far as I remember !

That's a very poor resale value considering a new AS200 is almost 1.10L on the road now.

After going through all the issues mentioned on this thread, I'm not very keen in opting for the AS. every second post seems to be related to some problem or the other. I have also gone through the NS thread from starting and there arn't many complaints. It gives me an impression that Bajaj has dropped the quality standards when it comes to AS.

Unfortunately there is no alternative to AS in the price bracket. Seems like i need to be content with Gixxer SF.

RTR ABS can be an option too
