Try this and you will find the same. The reason behind is, the NS (AS/RS as well) engine has a compression ratio which is very high about 11.1:1 compared to Apache 180 or Pulsar 220 which is about 9.5:1. So the need for high compression ratio is to extract more horses from the engine of almost similar displacement. This is also main reason why being a 20cc less, NS/RS/AS pumps more horses than P220 or Karizma 220.

The more the compression ratio, the more power you can extract, at the same time, it revs down very quick. Since you were riding at 120+, the RPM would be around 8.5K, which is very high and hence you can expect a rapid drop with no throttle.
even it happens in 5.5k @85 kmph

          Absolutely coorect @jbm_guy

Wind bast plays a very vital role.Sometimes in city on outer ring road i can cruise at 110 with speed remaining and sometimes i had trouble even reaching 105 kmph on a windy day.
Hope other bikers underatnd it as Aerodynamics play a very very important / vital role.Thats why super cars and superbikes are so costly coz aerodynamically they are very advanced!

Okay as you wish.Incase you wanted to know how i fixed it here is a copy-paste of it

Ever since i bought the bike i had been having a strange problem.Somtimes it behaves how it should and sometimes a totally different character.I thought thats how pulsars were but then i had one BIG problem.Inconsistent mileage. And doesnt matter how much i ripped or sedately i ride , 9 out of 10 times it returned me around 31 Kmpl and that lucky 1 time it would give me 38 Kmpl on Bnaglore traffice.THen the terrible Cold start problrem every 2-3 Hours.THe point is when its 31 you know Fuel i not getting burnt properly. So recently i was getting 26 and a sudden Jerk if i open the throttle. Then the vibes and little did i know i was hearing tappet noise.I tried adjusting AFR screw multiple times but no good.

Finally i visited Khivraj kasturba road for a thorough checkup. The service head knows me well and he listens to whatever i say.So i asked him for a mileage test for 100ML.it showed 2.5 Kms meaning 25 Kmpl.Thats insane.Service person told thats normal and thats when he got a proper dose from me.He told he will call the Bajaj head engineer and fix an appointment to fix it as he thought its in my head and bike is fine.I told him atleast doa thorough checkup and then get back to me.Even after that its not fixed i cna understand.

Finally it was taken to service. The SVC guy is a champ in NS.He absolutely knows what he is doing. He opened the Fuel pipe and cleaned it,Opened the carb and cleaned it ,checked the tappet settigns and did it,spark plug, Diapharm etc etc....Finally when i tested it again it was having awesome pickup with such a smooth engine and 38Kmpl!.

After thinking a lot i found out 2 problems with the bike

1)Diapharm was incorrectly placed when stock.
2)I am sure the tappet was out of place as i dont hear any sort of noise at all and i think i now Know how tappet noise sounds like!

The reason why i was able to fix it because i made my mind to fix it that day and doesnt matter whatever happens they will have to fix it.We invest a lot and SVC guys ideally doesnt care much.THe same problem when i told on 5000 Kms they told everything is fine with AFR tuning done.ANd now he actually did it coz i told him to proide me with a Job Sheet saying its fine and normal(26 KMPL with vibes etc) and i will get abck to Bajaj.ANd the same guy actually fixed it and i get to witness his excelent work.He did coz he tried and he knew what he was doing.Bike beels so fresh now and loving every bit of it.I am still to check Tank full method but then i think its no more an issue because the bike starts at 1 click and the idle is absolutely smooth hearing every beat!Yes thats a sign of healthy engine and correct AFR settings for a Carb bike.

Okay. One of my two concerns is solved now.

Vibs are gone. There's absolutely no vibe at all now. Engine sound is crystal clear. Only sound is that of the chain which is normal.

Tomorrow I'll tackle the second issue, the left leaning issue. Will solve that too.

Sorry! Forgot the mention the process in my happiness.

I just added washers to all the screws holding the windshield. The noise of the vibs were mostly coming from around the instrument console and the windshield. So I removed all screws, added washers to all of them and screwed them back. Worked for me. 95% of the noise, vibs is gone. Even at 4k or 5k rpm there's no vibs. Cost me 10 bucks in total.

                Easy process, try it.

You guys finding it comfortable to use the gear shift lever and rear brakes? I always feel like I have to reach out an extra bit.

                          Hello guys,

Please help me shortlist between As200 & Gixxer SF. I had almost made my mind to buy As 200 but after going the entire ownership thread, there are lot of issues mentioned such as, Bike swaying to left, Gears getting stuck etc. I'm not a performance rider & i tend to cruise between 70-80 on the highway. I was more tilted towards AS 200 initially because of reas disk and extra horse power which may come handy at times. Are the issues mentioned in this thread acknowledged by ASC & do we have a solution in sight.

On the other hand, Gixxer SF seems to be expensive for what it offers. Granted, there is a full fairing however, 1.02 Lacs on the road for a bike without even rear disc brake sounds like too much.

Would really appreciate your views on this.

Thanks buddy. But this is regarding the carb issue. I don't have any issue with the carb except that it keeps over flowing every now and then which is common with pulsar's (atleast with 220's). I get a constant mileage between 34-38kmpl depending on how i ride.

Regarding the fairing noise, i was planning to add washer's and double side tapes to see if it helps, seems like someone had done it and it worked.

Now again, my major problems are with engine stalling and gears. It happened again yesterday, i was first in the signal, just moved a few meters after the signal turned green and the bike shuts down all of a sudden in the middle of the road

If you have any solution for this, please do let me know. I wount be able to run around SVC's atleast till 25th.

Just check if you're pressing the clutch when the bike shuts off suddenly. If clutch is pressed for a long duration, the bike tends to shut off. That's what I've noticed.

Adding washers should do the trick.

Today I went to a different service centre for the left leaning issue, the SVC loosened the cone settings and handle is more free now, bike still sways somewhat but it's less stress on the body. Shouldn't be a problem on high speeds, it's common for speeds below 40-50.

Ordered for a centre stand today. Cleaning chain and lubing is headache without that.

No, it happens on the move, normal riding. No half clutching, not while crawling. Shuts off as if it misfired! (heck, this thing has 3 spark plugs!

Get the centre stand, its very helpful to wash, lube and even to park. I had to run around 3 service centers for 2 months to get mine.
