I am used to clean and lube it after every 500km or so
    Is it bad?

I understand you seem frustrated with the bike but why not try changing service centers before changing bikes or maybe write a mail and escalate the issue to Bajaj directly. Plus duke200 and cbr250 are bikes of a different league and price bracket and I read some were in your previous posts that you already sold D200 due to gear issues. Then why would you go back to it?

Gear issue is there in RS too. It's there in many bikes. But it's not that frequent. At leat not in mine. My friend's RS gear got stuck during a sharp turn on a ghat near Khandala. His bike was moving backwards as gear wasn't changing and he had pressed clutch. It got proper in like 10 seconds of trying.

I never faced any issues worth mentioning with Duke 200. It was perfect for me except for the firm suspension !

Thx anubhav for taking the pain to search and post the link!

Trust me buddy, i right now dont have the paitance to put up with bajaj SVC's since this seem to be a common issue. They cant even fix a simple fairing vibe then how could they fix such a complex one?

Am not a person who gets frustrated for such problem that easily, just have a look a the RTR160 ownership thread and see what i have gone through!

Now imagine a bus charging at him at 100+ when his gear is stuck?

Happened to me twice in 2 weeks which got me killed almost! I am putting my life at stake!

                        My problems

                        1. Gear doesn't downshift properly
                        2. Bike shuts off suddenly for no reason(as if its missed firing)
                        3. Irritating fairing vibes (not much of a problem, but its plain annoying)

When you look at these problem on paper separately, you may wonder whats the big issue! But imagine all these problem coming together at a spot where have to move out quickly! I had 2 such instances in 2 weeks

                        1. Had to take a right turn on a highway to get into a small village, opposite road free of traffic and i could see a Volvo coming far away at a good speed, i could easily cross the road, no that doesn't happen.

I start crossing the road in 2nd gear and midway through i try to downshift to first, the gear gets stuck. I doesn't go to 1st or to 2nd and am at the middle of the road right in the path of that charging Volvo. I literally had to stomp on the shifter to get it into first and get out of the road and the Volvo was hardly a few feet away. A one second delay would have costed my life!

Ok, i thought i screwed up knowing the gears had a problem and thought I'll be careful from now on but the 2nd incident made not to touch the bike at all!

                        2. Am going back home from work and i usually don't take the begumpet airport flyover since the it is always packed and its best t avoid it. Now ppl in hyd know that the brilliant guys at L&T have erected the pillars for the metro bang in the middle of the road which can hardly fit a bus on either sides.

I get near to the pillar and am in 3rd doing about 30-40kmph and the bike stalls suddenly right next to the pillar and there a RTC bus right on my ass, While i managed to get the bike started right away, the gear gets stuck at 3rd and doesn't downshift 2nd of first, finally i just gave full throttle and managed to clear the pillar when the bus hit me. I didn't fall though, managed to balance and be safe!

if these problems are specific to my bike i can go catch the SVC guys by the collar and make them work on it. But this seems to be a common issue and i dont think even SVC can do anything about it. And am not ready to wait for bajaj to come and fix it while i put my life at risk!

Have parked the bike at my friends place and have been using his CBR250R since a week. Am comfortable with it. While i love the D200, its like a pitbull which is always angry! I anyways wanted to get myself a 300cc + bike in feb or mar, i'd rather change now!

                          Vibes in fairing-Does it creep from 4000 to 5000 rpm,most at 4500rpm?

Mine sure creeps in around 4k-5k rpm range. The vibs are annoying. Ruins the enchanting engine sound.

Yes I switched go 7100.but the vibes were due to foot pegs and chain slackness.but the main reason was incorrect tappet/valve settings.its very smooth now.
Check your tappet settings.mine is 0.5mm and 0.8mm.it was adjusted and I could feel the vibes dissapearing right away
