Hello guys...Have been following this thread for a long time.
Bought my new pulsar as200(blue colour) on 28th nov.
Before buying this bike i watched hell lot of videos!!! on youtube. In the review videos i saw that when the brakes were pressed it used to show orange colour and not red like the ordinary pulsar.I really liked that but when i got my bike i was really disappointed watching those boring pulsar red tail lights. Can anyone please confirm me if the tail lights are red or orange when pressed

      Congratulations on finalizing the color

Yes its because of 6-speed gearbox , the ratio of kmph and rmp is short so you have to keep switching the gears in stop and go .

May be a camera glitch showing orange.tail light should always be red.it's universal

Hey. The law is that the brake lights have to be RED. Maybe the daytime lighting or special effects changed coloring in the video.
Don't worry about it man, atleast you are following the law!

Won't that cause the cloth to catch fire on extended tours/high rpm riding when the engine becomes super hot?

I agree. The battery terminals can get extremely hot during certain conditions!
I have seen a piece of cloth getting sucked in the air filter and clogging the engine of a Fazer! Not a pretty sight mate.

Why don't you stuff the cloth in front of the handlebar stem? the space between the T clamp and the fairing. It works for me.

Same problem I have .I will visit SVC on Tuesday
Probably t-stem is gone or the coneset is not properly set.this gives a wired feeling specially when turning the bike

Hey guys i am taking delivery of my bike day after tomorrow...so by the looks of it getting a bike with defective cone set or stem is almost unavoidable or else it will sure come up later. Maybe you guys could tell me does this require major repairs if done and how much would it cost if done from outside by a local mechanic.

Also I am planning to swap the eurogrips with MRF tires. Would you suggest some thicker tires that would fit in without issues.

Loosened the stem? you mean they loosened the bolts or something?
Yes please let us know how it turns up....

How much better are the MRFs as compared to the EuroGrips? I read somewhere that thee MRFs were as bad on gravel, mud, etc.?

Hi. Got my AS 200 (Black color a month back) Clocked around 500 kms (200 on odo and around 300 before connecting the trip wire which was done after getting registration number). Will give for 1st servicing in some time.

The motorcycle overall is fantastic. Yes, there are minor issues but that's manageable, at least for me.

Gear shifting seems to be fine considering it's a 6 speeder. Eurogrip are not that bad as I initially thought but then I don't twist or turn that aggressively, it seems okay for now.

My one concern or rather something that has begun to bother me is the rattling of the fairing, especially the windshield around 4k or 5k rpm. It smoothens after I cross 6k, but I don't pull till 6k that much yet.

I did tighten the screws using allen keys. The rattling reduced for a while and again returned. That is plain annoying during riding, the music of the engine roaring gets almost muffled by the noise of the windshield rattling.

And yes, I think I too have the cone set problem. Due to which my right shoulder starts paining as I need to push the handle bar to right slightly to maintain balance. It's not too bad but nevertheless a problem right? Will ask the SVC guy about the same.

That's my personal experience so far

The bolt above the steering bearing ball and the fork bolt. He loosened the fork bolt first then the bolt above ball bearing and made their adjustment . all he said that he loosened the fork bolt. I am not that familiar with the names of these bolts

Even after first service, my engine doesn't feel smooth...
What can be done? I have about 800kms now.

On 6th, going above 4k rpms sounds rough. I pushed till 5.5k rpms today and while the bike sped, engine still felt rough.
Oddly, when I stop for a while, where I check my phone/google-maps for 4-5 minutes while the engine is idling, then when I move off, engine feels smooth for a while, and later the roughness comes again. Noticed this 3 times today.

Aside from that, the gear shift lever just feels sloppy when downshifting.. just slides down with no feedback. Upshifts are decent, as they have that 'click' feeling... but just not there in downshifting.

                                Any advice?
