Why the long hassle of claiming insurance, please get the panel replaced it will hardly cost 350-400rs. If you feel 350 rs is too high, get a small stickering job done.

And even if you claim insurance, the insurance folk might reject it stating "itna scratch chalta hai boss" as the panel is not broken and it is not worth to claim insurance on such minor scratches.

    Cheers,

Don't the cowl comes as a seperate unit. Lets say one for right and one for left. The price you stated is of the entire rear cowl from left to right.

I guess, only the left side should be available, not sure though!!!

You can do a stickering job on the scratches and even if you claim insurance, 50% will be gone from your pocket.

        Cheers,
        Sanjay

Well depends I plan to keep them as DRL's maybe coz indicators are already there on the bike.

What are some precautions for going on a long solo ride?
ie. in case of mechanical issues.

Are there any services that you can call, and they'll send some mini truck to pick your bike up (or repair in place)?
Particularly if you're stranded in the middle of some national highway?

The projector stopped working last night. The service centre was closed, so I had to visit a local workshop.

Turns out the bulb is fused. Replaced it with the P220's 12V 55W lamp (looks identical to the AS200's), but the main beam is now really weak. Weaker, in fact, than my 10-year old P150's 35W headlight. It's possible that the mechanic didn't install it correctly, but I'll have to get that checked at the SVC. My bike has done ~5,600 km.

Do the P220 and the AS200 share the same bulb at all? The parts store (one of the best in Calcutta) didn't have anything specific for the AS.
                        .
                        .
                        .
Any suggestions? I'm headed for the SVC anyway tomorrow...

                            Hi mate
I have installed 2 auxiliary 5 watt led spot lights ( China made) on my bike ( cbz extreme). It's spot is perfect for highway ride. It's worth every penny , I bought it for 700rs from Mumbai central.
Pros- great for highway riding , lights the road nicely and you can see the road aproxx 60-70ft ahead clearly. Gives confidence in night riding as you can see the entire road clearly and take appropriate decision whether to speed up or slow down.

Cons- it can easily blind the oncoming vehicle or if ur riding behind a car closely, so not good for roads with heavy traffic or city.

P.s= if your budget permits , go for cree made led spot lights , costs 4-5k a pair but they do last longer thn China made and their output is way brighter and perfect white .

                              First servicing done!

Oil changed, oil filter changed, coolant topped up, got teflon coating done.

Engine has become much, much smoother now. The harshness is gone. Feels damn good.

Also got the mono shock suspension adjusted to a softer setting (used to be too stiff and used to cause butt pain earlier).

All in all, riding feels lot more better and comfortable now.

                              Happy!
