Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
You should do it >450 to <650 if i remember correctly within 1 month. They might not accept if less than that for 1st service. I'd recommend you to take your bike and do training on free roads. Also stick with Bajaj engine oil till 5000Kms or till 2nd service gets done. If you can't then at least till 2000 kms. A good broken engine will not disappoint you even with Bajaj oil.Originally posted by Anubhav M View Post

The AS200 comes in Black, Blue and Red.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostI don't think the bike comes in such colour. But can someone request to Bajaj for it.I mean will they make it.this bike will look damn good on yellow
The 2012 and 2013 Pulsar 200NS came in Mustard Yellow, Red, Blue and Black but then in 2014 and 2015 the Gen2 200NS came with 2 tone color schemes...
And yes I agree, I am considering getting a 2nd hand 200NS in mustard yellow if requesting to Bajaj does not work

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Guys, anyone facing this issue?
Today, while taking the bike for a long spin, at some point, after riding for a while, I started hearing a 'beeping' noise from the front of the bike. (A slightly low pitched but fast paced beep-beep-beep...).
This has happened twice before.
The beeping happens when I'm above ~23kmph or so, and if I slow down, it seems to stop.
I wondered if it's just some wind making noise... but I'm not sure how to diagnose it. By the sound, it seems more like from an eletronic device rather than wind...
Will go for my first servicing next week, and I'll mention this.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
I changed eurogrips to MRF Revz-s 130/70r17 rear and MRF Zapper FY 110/70r17 front on second day after running ~120 KM from sector 21 chandigarh.Originally posted by Anubhav M View PostNow I am buying the bike from Chandigarh and it is coming with the Eurogrips from all the dealers in and around Chandigarh. So if I do exchange the stock tyres what should be my first choice. MRF, Michelin or something else. I don't want to spend an insane amount to get new tyres. Plus do I need to swap both front and rear or just the rear ones.
The second issue is that I am currently working in Renukoot, Utter Pradesh and its almost 1100 Km away from Chandigarh were I am going to take my bike for use. I know that new bike should not be stressed on highways but is it OK if do drive that distance in a period of three days keeping in check the rpm. Is it advisable to do that? I don't want UP registration number as it might be a problem if I relocate back home in a year or so.
After a bit bargaining cost me Rs 2000. Michelin is supposed to have better grip but will cost you about Rs 4000 more than MRF.
These MRFs are good for dry and wet tarmac roads but simply start floating on gravel and sand/mud.
Though they are robust. cant say the same about michelin. Ive heard a lot of good things on the 200NS thread about the Ralco speedblaster for sluch, gravel, off road etc. You need both tyres to be good to enjoy the bike.
You would stay a night in between those 1100km. Take a stop at something like delhi and get your bike serviced there. That will be around good mileage if you drive around ~200km within chandigarh. Also the service centres might be more competent there. In chandigarh they leave a lot to be desired.

Looks like Me.
I did the same,, ripped her to 8K RPM for a short burst, then continued to ride below 4K.
I don't think changing oils this frequent is required. And doing service on short intervals means, you will reach the Paid service period quickly.
P.S : I had the third free service at 5500Kms, which is quite quick though...
I wouldn't say i ripped it... Kinda like a mixed method. I raised the RPMS progressively to 5, 6, 7, 8k over a period of time.
My 2nd Service is due in Jan.
The Motoman method is all about the 1st 100 kms. The entire process gets over pretty soon. I didn't stress the engine at all in the initial 500 kms. Changed oil at around 300 kms too!Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostAFAIK, the motoman method requires first oil change before 100 km. He insists that the first oil change must not wait beyond that or it will harm the engine bad.
haha... no courage required! I believe i had baby-ed my previous bike (Dazzler) too much during the run-in period. Resulted in a lethargic engine and terrible vibes at higher revs later on. About the oil change, I first changed oil at 300 kms. Second oil change at 1100 kms. Even though the SVC guys said its not required at all, I still went ahead. On draining the oil, it was pitch black! The mechanic was surprised himself!Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostA mix. Or perhaps a remix
?
Maybe you have setup a new method of running in?. Cool...!!!. You have one such courage to try that, I don't

PS: Don't need frequent oil change. Do it at first service, and if needed post run-in.
Next oil change at 2nd Service
