But wait a minute, I thought you bought AS150 as first when I read you post. Took some time later to understand it was AS200. AS 150 is decent, but Gixxer seems to dominate at the moment.

Anyway, Congrats first of all. You have selected a very good value for money product. In terms of looks AS might not please everybody. But again looks are subjective. But if you deeply look at her body, you can see NS residing behind the fairing, look still deeper and you will realize KTM Duke 200 soul smiling at you

KTM Duke 200 could've been many NS owners dream including mine. But once you start owning it not all owners will begin to like it. KTM Duke is not suitable for all characters, it's like having a cup of tea, but can't take it for regular meals. It's a mad animal and loses all it's juice very quickly, where as AS/NS is a tamed animal which knows where to take or lose power or say "For matured riders", a little . AS200 is better in all ways compared to NS, especially the windshield and projectors. I've heard AS200 pricing has been hiked to 2000/-. Don't know if you bought it after hike or before.

Ride safe, follow proper run-in procedures. Keep post and make it alive. Ride with Helmets always no matter even if it's a 100 feet. Riding gears can be used on long rides, but Helmets are must always.

Until you use the same grade oil 20W50 it wont void the warranty. BTW 5100 has only 15W50.
Basically there's not a hell of difference before and after 5100. I still feel my NS loves Bajaj crap oil only , though have a feeling that I'm in a safer hands. As many NS owners suggested, 7100 shall give crunchy acceleration and redline performance. But again, many NS owners suggested Motul 5100 to be a lot smoother, but it rather failed in my case . So, better I'd leave it to you. Try it and find it, as every single engine has unique characteristics. You may try 7100, as you are almost 7K KMs. If you feel it better, keep it running. By the way. I might return back to Bajaj.

By the way, Motul Drain interval shall be 1500 - 3000 (depends on how bad you ride). If you start feeling harshness and gear shift issues then it's time to change it.

Yes. They are not good. Doesn't mean that you can't live with it, but ride with MRF gives you more confident. Anyway AS200 doesn't come with MRF and it won't. You can either wait for that or buy and trade those new tyres to some after market guys who might take it for less. Later you can buy MRF Revs which is better than zapper.

Sorry, but I never did ask you to give a detail review. It's your choice. But all I said was, that from your post I mistook that you bought AS150 at first.

Sorry Bro, I'm from Madras. But post this on NS forums. Also not every centers will accept exchange. Just make sure to check with local shops as well. But Euro tires are not that bad, but MRF gives you just more confidence when braking and cornering. Buy MRF revs NOT ZAPPER. If you wish for even more fun with your bike, go for Michellin or Metzeler. You can fit a 150 section from Metzeler (of Duke 390). Check their website. These provide exceptional grip and handling. But unfortunately they cost a lot....

Nothing to worry. Just complete your run-in properly and do proper service and maintenance.

                  Ride safe, cheers

Hey guys.. Can any one please let me know what speed does your AS 200 reach at every gear?? I feel like the gearing ratio is very short. I have to shift from 1st to 2nd at 15 kmph.. 2nd to 3rd at 25 kmph and so on.. and have to reach 6th gear at 62kmph... is this normal?? also, this takes a longer time to reach from 0-60 kmph... more than 5 secs for me... any suggestions about it?? is this normal or do i need to have it checked??

Yes this is normal.however the way you are riding is not the way a bike is ridden
It's gonna stress your engine big time.
Simple-On 1st gear shift at 4000rpm and from 2nd go 6th gear shift at around 5000rpm.this isnthe way you need to shift then you will understand the true power of this bike.

Sorry i didnt get you.. I dont shift directly to 6th gear from 2nd gear.. I have to shift to 3rd at 32kmph, 4th at 44kmph , 5th at 55kmph and 6th at 62kmph.. then it reaches till 128kmph on 6th gear.. but the acceleration is quite slow above 100kmph... how long does it take for you guys to reach from 0-100 kmph?
