Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
My AS200 returns around 35-37 km/l in town (moderate to light traffic), and 37-39 on the highway, depending on how much I rev the engine. I take it easy in the rains, so fuel economy improves.Originally posted by vvk1999 View Post

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Thats what i m saying too, as rpm increases fuel efficiency comes down. & This engine revs till 12k rpm , whereas for p220 max rpm i achieved was 8k rpm . So the conclusion , as rpm increases the fuel efficiency decreases. To reduce this ,a advanced fuel injection system is a must which ia ommited by bajaj [emoji17] .[emoji23]Originally posted by deebee View PostMy AS200 returns around 35-37 km/l in town (moderate to light traffic), and 37-39 on the highway, depending on how much I rev the engine. Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hi!!! Fellow Xbhpians.
Just today morning i completed my down payment procedure for the Pulsar as200 in blue colour at Popular bajaj showroom at banashankari, bangalore. The complete procedure is done smoothly and most probably i will be taking delivery of my beautiful bike by nest thursday morning. VERY HAPPY
.
Just one little problem though the showroom told me that the bike will not come with MRF tyres. It will be provided either with TVS Eurogrips or CEAT tyres and i am not happy with that because eurogrips are really worst and had a very bad experience with them. I asked them if with some extra amount they could change the tyres but, it seems it is not possible for them.
Anybody here in the forum please help me find a multibrand tyre showroom which will give a good buyback offer for the eurogrips on my bike..
Thanks in advance..

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Eurogrip isn't that bad as it's made up to be. I've ridden more than 10k kms without any problems. Ceat is a great brand too. Mrf is also good but not slip proof. If you want the most premium one, go for Diablo rosso 2
In the end, if you won't have control over your bike, no tyre would save you.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
It all boils down to situations and survival reactions ultimately. As I said, I never had any bad experience as such in spite of taking my bike through hell and back in extreme rains.
Anyway, if you can't get mrf then you may try for pirelli demon or dragon, those are good too. Demon is 130 size and dragon is 140

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hello fellow riders. Hope you're all doing fine.
Just completed 1.3k kilometers on my AS200 and also done with second service. I asked them to change the oil, filter and top up the coolant as well, but nothing was done and the reason given was that it's not required now since this was done at first service, barring the coolant top-up. Wonder what they had to lose here! Anyway, bike feels worse after the second service with noticeable loss of power and vibrations from the front panel.
Now the bummer. Was riding home after seeing off someone at the railway station when a mongoose scampered across the road on the approach to a steep incline on a blinding curve. In a bid to save the little bugger, I veered off-course and crashed by the side of the road, cushioned by grass and wet mud. Though both me and the mongoose were unharmed, the bike suffered significant cosmetic damage. The front left fairing and indicator is broken, the left leg guard is bent and so is the gear lever. Now my question is how much will it actually cost to get all of this fixed? I don't want to claim insurance and wait for eternity since I need my bike to go on a few rides in the days to come.
PS: The left side fairing was already scratched up pretty badly by a few kids about a month ago, thus reducing my agony to some extent after today's mishap. :P
Regards,
Kevin.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hello xbhpians!!
So finally after a wait of 5 days, i received the delivery of my Pulsar as200 yesterday night. The bike looks so good and it feels so nice to ride it.
Thank you Popular bajaj showroom, banashankari for the nice experience. delivery was smooth and fast without any fuss.
Review for the Bike:
# Bike feels super smooth, engine does not have any vibrations at any gear of course, i did not cross the 4000 rpm limit till now.
# sitting posture is very comfortable and best suited for me, seat height is a little bit high but, its fine.
# On the look department i will give a perfect full 100 for the way bajaj has made this bike. it looks so good and specially the blue color one. I am already in love with my bike.
# Clutch is a bit on the harder side and the left hand handlebar grip is poking on my palm that is the only complaint i have.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Congrats on getting the bike dude. I was thinking of going for AS200 too but then started getting the news that it is discontinued for now. I would like to know if you have got a recently manufactured bike or is it from existing stock.Originally posted by randhish View PostHello xbhpians!!

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Gave my battered AS200 for a minor overhaul and the first thing that the service engineer said was, "Fairing panels aren't available atm." After a bit of pestering though, he agreed to try his best and get it done by tomorrow. This being a combined service center for Bajaj, KTM and Kawasaki, there were at least 20 RC/Duke 200/390s lying there, and more than half of them had been involved in crashes and had their handlebars broken and fairings ripped apart(RCs). Sad sight.
Anyway, asked the service center folks if the Duke's engine guard could be fixed to the AS and he said it wasn't possible. Wanted to get the arm guards from the KTM bikes as well but forgot to ask.
BTW, went through some posts and came across the issue of the forks bending after a fall or a crash. Today, I rode about 15km and I felt that the bike was behaving in a normal way even at 70kmph. Handling was normal and exactly the same as what it was before the crash. Question is, does this mean that my bike's forks are fine?
Regards,
Kevin
