  • Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences

    Hello Xbhpians!!
Hope everyone is enjoying the nice cold riding season..
Guys I have a question and not getting any satisfactory answer..I am thinking of changing only the front tyre of my pulsar as200 from stock to 'michellin pilot sporty' 100/80 r17.
Will cause any problems while riding? I mean I will loose traction while riding or my riding ratio will change..
As200 back stock tyre is not so bad so I will keep it for the time being..

Try using pilot street then pilot sporty. Pilot sporty isnt too good for wet roads

U might feel the lack of grip at rear. If u r using stock euros i will recommend continue using them. I have using the stock for 20k and replaced with a new set of euros i enjoy knee scraping them euros. Havent felt the lack for grip with stock tyres

            Hello Rushank,
I have been following threads to upgrade tyres and was hoping someone could tell me about the credibility of the stock tyres Euros since this is my first winter with AS200. Does the grip varies with temperatures on euros? I have been confident riding and cornering on euros buy just from past few days the grip on road seems less and I can feel bike losing rear traction, especially on Asphalt and Chip Masting. Its 9300 on my odo and threads are good and still visibly deep. I ride with 25 Psi front and 32 rear (with pilion). I keep a check on every nook and bit of my ride so rest assured, no chances of foreign objects stuck on my ride.

            Ride Safe Brothers !

Well the tyre does take a little time to warm up. Increase the pressure on front. Use 28 on front with pillion. Also euro tyres are all season tyre. U dunt need to worry use tyre for another 5-10k and then think if u wanna upgrade

Increasing tyre pressure up front makes the ride bouncy brother. Our ride has CON nut issues and tyre pressure more than 25 has resulted a bouncy ride. I live in Kolkata my friend, roads here are like SURPRISE !! Smooth road and a 1.5 feet blunt pothole right in the middle. I do not go beyond 60 to 70 in the city. Look at the tyres below.

I hope u fill air from petrol pump only. If not then start that practice. If u wont ride above 100 then ur tyres will last more then 25k. I m always riding above 100-120 my tyres last only 20-22k

Religiously it is only from fuel stations with digital tyre pressure machines.

if u check tyre pressure when the tyre is hot , fill at least 3 psi more . that is 29+3 front & 32+3 rear for ns/as 200
best bet is but a pressure gauge online & check air pressure when tyres r cold

Does anyone have any experience with NGK Iridium spark plugs? Are they worth it?

The NGK India website recommends these for the 200NS/AS:

                          1. CPR8EAIX-9 (left and right plugs)
                          2. LKAR8AI-9 (centre plug, same as Duke & RC)

I've been able to source #1 here in Calcutta (Wellington), but #2 is not available. Any clue where I should be looking? It's out of stock on Flipkart.

Guys how often do y'all service your bikes. 4k? How do y'all really know when your bike needs servicing? Any time I go to the svc for any issues, they're like get it serviced. Last time I got it serviced after an interval of 2.5k. Planning to visit them again for excessive vibrations. I can see my visor rattle like crazy when I'm on low revs on a high gear. It wasn't like that before. The rattling and vibrations have seriously become too much now
