Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
That's not easy as well. Plus SVC sucks. They charged me Rs212 for clutch cable and Rs200 labour charges. Almost there price of the productOriginally posted by Hunterkol View PostI would suggest to find a good local mechanic. SVC are good for nothing, they don't do anything on your bike and are deaf to customer problems.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Find out which local mechanic works on RS and NS in your locality and how he procure parts. Leave a query on other RS and NS owner threads and if you feel you can procure parts from local distributors then purchase the parts and hand them over to the local mechanic. A good mechanic usually has a good reputation spread by word of mouth. The major difference between an SVC mechanic and a local mechanic is that, the SVC guys would always change parts even when it is not necessary whereas a local mechanic would always try to repair a fault until and unless the solution can only be achieved by changing the part. I am from Kolkata and the local mechanic who is working on my ride is pretty good at what he does. Try, I am sure you will be much content in regards to maintenance of your ride.Originally posted by Vicky_New_Guy View PostThat's not easy as well. Plus SVC sucks. Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
What will be the best place to sell my AS200 rear hardly used (1500 kms) 130/70 MRF stock tire? I updated my stock with Meteor 120/80 and don't want to go back on stock. Is there any place in Pune where I can get decent return? or Shall I put it on OLX?

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
I would suggest put it on OLX or Quikr.. today I also changed my as200 front tyre from the stock eurogrips to Michelin pilot Street radial 110/70 r17 and I am also thinking of putting my old tyre on OLX..
Just took a small trip of 30 kms and felt excellent road grip.. I have to break-in the tyre properly then I can comment on it properly..But from the initial impression this tyre is far better than the eurogrips.
I got the tyre from cherry agencies Pvt Ltd. Near sarakki gate..Superb service and nice behavior from owner and[stagff..Costed 4000 RS including fitting...

Randhish... thanks for your reply....i had heard about eurogrip performance before buying....so i persuaded the dealer to give me mrf or i wont take the delivery and he agreed....have you considered.any other tire size? I am thinking about putting 100/90 meteor on front wheel..but the available size is recommended under rear tires on mrf site? Do you have any idea about that? Rear designed tire on front wheel?Originally posted by randhish View PostI would suggest put it on OLX or Quikr.. today I also changed my as200 front tyre from the stock eurogrips to Michelin pilot Street radial 110/70 r17 and I am also thinking of putting my old tyre on OLX..

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Yes eurogrips are pathetic..I had few options in pilot sporty 100/80 r17, pirelli sports demon 100/80, mrf revz s 100/80 r17 and Michelin Street radial 110/70 r17. Out of all these street radial was best.. superb road grip.. 30000 km warranty. U can go for it..Originally posted by vrnmhjn View PostRandhish... thanks for your reply....i had heard about eurogrip performance before buying....so i persuaded the dealer to give me mrf or i wont take the delivery and he agreed....have you considered.any other tire size? Size difference is only very small.. and it not effect the kilometers average by much ..

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
A big thank you to everyone from this community. Your help and guidance has been immense. Completed 12,000 kms. Would be celebrating her first birthday on 10th Jan.
This was my first bike. Learned riding after taking delivery. So this is my first and only.
Thanks everyone for teaching me everything about the art of riding. THE SAFE ART OF RIDING.
My first bike. Like my friends call her, A Bull. This would be the happiest relation I've ever been in.
Enough said. JUST THANK YOU.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Thanks for the tip, Hunterkol - got the centre spark plug at BP Roadies! Unfortunately, he didn't have the left and right plugs, so I had to go back to Wellington - and they're out of stock now!Originally posted by Hunterkol View PostHave you tried Bunty Bhai at BP Roadies?
Fresh stock will arrive only by the 2nd or 3rd week of January.
I had no clue the centre spark plug (NGK Iridium) could be this expensive - Rs. 1,800. The left and right plugs (also NGK Iridium) are Rs. 500-650 each, depending on where you ask.

Also need to change the front tyre... I have to decide between the Zapper FY2 (recommended for the AS200), Zapper FX (Gixxer and FZ V1.0) and Zapper FX1 (FZ V2.0). All are 100/80-17 52P.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Guys having problems with the console. The bike has done 13k km. When I turn on the ignition switch the console does not work at all. Sometimes it lights up instantly and sometimes does not. This problem is severest when the bike is dead cold. When the bike has been ridden it does not happen. It has started happening in winters. Also the clock resets itself and trip resets back to displaying odo reading. This problem sometimes can be avoided if I lift the side stand then turn on the ignition. The battery is fine as bike starts everytime in half a crank whether its been left out in the cold overnight. Please help.
Putting a link from youtube who had similar issue. But in my case sometimes the display is dead for several minutes into driving and sometimes it lights up when I start or even take off the bike from side stand.
