Unfortunately, I only noticed after buying the tyre that the speed rating is the same as the stock Eurogrip ('P' or 150 km/h). While that is already more than what the AS200 can achieve, I was initially interested in the Zoom XL because the next size, 140/70-17, is rated H (210 km/h). I was hoping the 'H' rating would imply a softer compound, which is what I was looking for.

Anyway, I chose the Zoom XL over the MRF Revz-S (R15 V2.0 rear tyre) because the tread covers the centre patch as well (should cope better with aquaplaning, etc). I'm currently scrubbing the new tyre in, and will give an update in a few weeks about how it holds up to the roads (or lack of them) in Sikkim.
vrnmhjn - I didn't get the MRF MoGrip 120/80-17 because I really didn't want to downsize. Thanks for the suggestion, anyway! I hope I didn't make a mistake with the Zoom XL

Got an oil change done before the trip, and the head of one of the screws holding the oil filter cover snapped off, leaving the body of the screw firmly inside. The mechanic fastened the cover with the remaining screw, and sealed it with engine block sealer. Hope it holds.

Each time something like this happens, I remind myself that... 23.5 PS, liquid cooling, monoshock, projector, disc brakes at both ends - all of this for 1.1 lakh. What was I expecting? Compromises will have to be made somewhere - itne paise mein itnaich milega.
Screw breaking off happens in CBR 250 also, a bike costing nearly double. Sometimes these hopeless mechs over tighten the screws, causing them to snap.

I have not done any extensive wrappings but the few ones I have are primarily for purpose and not aesthetics.
Wind deflector wrapped in vinyl. The transparent fiber tends to scratch easily and all those flying debris specially pebbles flying off tires of vehicles tend to damage the fiber.

Fuel tank has a stripped vinyl wrap to protect from scratches and there was too much flat space on the tank which looks weird.

Entire tail section sides wrapped in transparent lamination sheet to protect the color from the saddle bags and tail bags I mount occasionally for long hauls.

The side panels have been wrapped in red textured vinyl because people just love to park there vehicles indiscriminately and nik the sides leaving huge scratch marks.

Its a simple diy. You need a spanner to open the front seat and a star screwdriver to open the left side panel and a small piece of wire to shorten out the relay installed on the left beneath the side panel. I cant post the photo of the side panel removed as of now because the mechanic over tightened the screw during service and I am worried that I might break the nut or scarp it off which will lead to more problems. Will visit the local mechanic and ask for a bigger screwdriver to get it open.

There is a small replay below the panel with a white connector. All you need to do is insert a wire and short circuit both wires and use an electrical tape to insulate it.

This is the side panel that needs to be opened

Well you can go for other colors. There are loads of colors you could go for. Belly pan is from duke 390. Cost me 560Rs including labor from ktm service center. He bent and twisted small metal strips to install the belly pan.

For some reason NS and AS bikes have an additional relay installed to prevent certain electricals to be powered on unless the engine is turned on like the low and high beams parking lights and instrument cluster backlight. Even discover 125 and other bikes from pulser family do not have these restrictions. Maybe because this bike does not have a kick start that this battery saving feature was given to prevent excessive battery draining. I simply bypassed that relay as described in earlier posts. Helps a lot when parked on a road side as you can keep the drl and tail lights on for a short while.

AS-150 also has that same battery saving feature and it comes with a kickstart.

The belly pan cost was 450 rest labor charges. I am looking for a way as well to replace to stock bulb to 100watt but have not got any feedback from anywere if it requires dismantling entire front fairing.

Has anyone installed HiDs in projector setup.
Would be very good idea. I had HiD in my earlier Unicorn. Baught from aliexpress. Illumination was very good but it just died on me in the middle of nowhere on the way to Goa.
And decent HiD kits are available around for $30-40.
If fitted in projector it would give a very good light spread as well as good illumination.
Without blinding oncoming traffic.
