Okay .the best way to find is fill full tank fuel and then reset the trip meter to zero. After that see how many kms your bike goes until it hits reserve.Originally posted by Sankha S.r.n View Posti never did a full tank.. frankly speaking..

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hi guys, I am going to get a Pulsar AS 200, i was wondering whether to get an sf or not. Is the AS any different from the NS? I mean how are the vibrations and refinement, I like the NS in the looks department. I am confused between the trio😕. Please help me make a decision. My main purpose is weekend highway rides as i live close to my college. I ve also heard bajaj has low resale value and the bike gets bad soon. Thanks in advance. 😊

Maybe you could put this as a new thread with "what bike" category.Originally posted by allenjoshyjohn View PostHi guys, I am going to get a Pulsar AS 200, i was wondering whether to get an sf or not. Anyway, AS and NS are the same. AS is NS+windshield+Projectors. NS is now not available, buy AS and you will be happy. Semi fairing is not a deal and not really that helpful, but a wind shield is. AS is decent for city and highway. Bajaj has low resale value, this includes KTM too. Buy a Duke or Pulsar and sell it next day, yes you will have to lose big numbers unlike brands like Honda or Hero. But spares are decent and you don't need to worry too much about it.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hey Guys!
Posting after a long hiatus. Office kept me a little too busy...
Few updates to begin with. Changed oil at 1100 kms. The last oil change was done in 1st service at 337 kms. Even though the SVC guys kept on insisting that oil-change was not required, don't waste money saaar, etc., I was adamant. The old oil was almost pitch black! Asked the SVC guy himself that how can this be? according to him, the oil should be almost new, right?
I am following a mixed method of Motoman + SVC manual, so i knew the reason quite well. After seeing the old, black drained oil, i'm a new believer in changing oil at much shorter intervals, specially during Break-in period!

Looks like Me.
I did the same,, ripped her to 8K RPM for a short burst, then continued to ride below 4K.
I don't think changing oils this frequent is required. And doing service on short intervals means, you will reach the Paid service period quickly.
P.S : I had the third free service at 5500Kms, which is quite quick though...

AFAIK, the motoman method requires first oil change before 100 km. He insists that the first oil change must not wait beyond that or it will harm the engine bad.Originally posted by Gowty View PostMotoman Method....!!! So, you ripped your bike

?
Maybe you have setup a new method of running in?. Cool...!!!. You have one such courage to try that, I don't

PS: Don't need frequent oil change. Do it at first service, and if needed post run-in.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hey guys this is my first post although I have been following this thread for over a month now which made me decide to go for AS200(blue). I do have a few queries which I request you guys to resolve for me.
Now I am buying the bike from Chandigarh and it is coming with the Eurogrips from all the dealers in and around Chandigarh. So if I do exchange the stock tyres what should be my first choice. MRF, Michelin or something else. I don't want to spend an insane amount to get new tyres. Plus do I need to swap both front and rear or just the rear ones.
The second issue is that I am currently working in Renukoot, Utter Pradesh and its almost 1100 Km away from Chandigarh were I am going to take my bike for use. I know that new bike should not be stressed on highways but is it OK if do drive that distance in a period of three days keeping in check the rpm. Is it advisable to do that? I don't want UP registration number as it might be a problem if I relocate back home in a year or so.

Good decision. AS is a wonderful vfm bike. You can buy mrf zapper of same profile. Mrf zapper offers good grip and confidence on dry roads and okayish on wet. Mrf revs are even better and would be the best. Michelin or metzeler will be costly. While I'm not sure about having tires of different brand on getting and rear, but i'd swap both. You need good grip for both tires.Originally posted by Anubhav M View PostHey guys this is my first post although I have been following this thread for over a month now which made me decide to go for AS200(blue). Yes you can do it in three steps. But you would have to do first service in 500kms. So if you are half way, you can't do it. So either complete your first service there itself and make a come back to your work place.

Thanks for the prompt response. As my stay In Chandigarh will be quite short could I get the first service done in say 200 or 300 odd Kilometers and should I stick with Bajaj Dtsi engine oil for now switch immediately to something better.
