I don't thing waking him is an easier job. Also car drivers don't need more attention, but we sure do. In my case, I boldly did the mod, as I love dual-tone sound (of course waited till second service). Just made sure none of the terminals are exposed. With full faired bikes like RS, the fitment is not going to be that easy.
You are right about the fitment issues with the faired motorcycles like RS, but usually on the highway I only feel the need of a bigger horn is at a sleepy villages at night or a intersection of a town where people are least concerned about safety and have no idea about how to cross a road.

Car drivers are actually a boon on highways and single lanes, I drift with the most safe and fast moving car on the highway, I know its kind of creepy if there is a female companion inside but it helps a great deal. Maintain a safe distance and just tag along till the car driver gives up and gives the way.

I'm as much thrilled when reading your post. I have tried many a times (right from my disco riding times) about tailing someone or some'thing'. But no, seriously I hate such rides. And with cars, I really can't even trust on other's mind set. Anyway I have dual horns and it can wake up the driver very well. Also the public .

In case of fixing horn, please avoid fixing those Skoda horns, because many people get fooled by that thinking it as a car and it might even risk them. Apart from power consumption, don't know why Bajaj didn't provide P220 type dual horns.

Actually I am planning something bigger, thinking of installing a USD forks on my RS. I saw a couple of NS 200 installing a street handlebars in Bangalore, I really wants those street handle bars like duke along with USD.

If I do get a used KTM USD forks will definitely try installing a dual horn too and I do miss the premium sound of dual horns.

What advantage will you have with USD forks ?

Already our bike has a Hard suspension set up and doesn't the inverted fork is intended for more hardness...???

With potholes all over the roads, an inverted fork having more stiffness will be a PITA. Also, I have seen in NS forum someone having NS, and RC200 said that he changed his forks three times in a year in RC...

I on a mission to reduce the weight of RS200 and I hope a the USD will give a lighter front end. other than that mostly aesthetic as well as I hate the stock handlebar.

and the price of achieving this mod is not high either, a used USD fork costs around 10k with handle bar and clamps. The complete mod must cost around 13k.

Wow.... 3 times, I have no issues with the front fork, The front feels very okayish under normal circumstances. But it dives a lot under hard breaking and some how I feel the front doesn't do justice to such a capable frame and swing arm. the rear is light and agile but the front is like okay I will react soon, but don't know when.

Good, but usd will only increase the stiffness but may improve handling. Remember unlike ns, rs is front biased, not 50/50.

If your mission is to drop weight of your bike, I suggest you to follow the old NS thread or google. I remember a guy dropped 6-7kg weight from ns making it equal with duke200. That could help you really...

Or simply remove the fairing, you reduce instant 15kg for sure lol [emoji13] [emoji13] [emoji13] and be the first Naked RS owner [emoji6]

Thanks for the link, apart from the airfilter box, I am planning almost rest of the mods.

                    1. removing rear tail , and making it more human, thinking NS.(hopefully this mod will help the AS200 owners too)

                    2. I saw a couple of fasteners on the exhaust and I hope it can be dismantled into pieces, If I am correct I will be able to remove the canister or exhaust end.

                    3. removing the rear pillion foot pegs, as I never carry pillion.

removing the fairing upto some extent is possible but then I would have bought the AS and saving 50000 grand in the process. If only the AS had the fuel injection and rest of the RS goodies it would be cracker motorcycle. But the looks of the AS is still a lot grown up then the RS.

Increasing stiffness will sure improve the cornering abilities of the bike and will give stability at Higher speeds. But a stiff suspension setup will sure comes with its demerits too. It will make you feel the road surfaces and will reduce the smoothness when going over a speed breaker.

                      But USD sure Looks pretty

Did small off-roading and it was not fun , I saw a couple of splendor and activa flying past me and I was so much in discomfort, I don't know about how good AS in this matter, hopefully the owners can shed some light.

regarding the USD, I have seen KTM twins doing off roading and I have personally owned a Duke 390 and the suspension is not that stiff. But due to the front end weight of RS it might make the front little hard. But I mostly ride on highway and I think I can live with that.

But on a AS the KTM USD will be fun, owners can make there oen super moto200.

There are lots of stuff that I need to measure first as I think it won't be a direct fit.

                        1) ball bearings fit

                        2) length of the steering column

                        Etc....

Hi everyone. Vinod here. One month new owner of AS200, having ridden 570 kms. My previous bike was a Pulsar 180 UG IV and I used it for a good 6 years Changed to AS200 after the fuel tank started leaking one day with 5 holes in it!!

Loving the bike as of now.. Even I faced this problem of the brake lever being placed too high because of which my foot used to ache even in city riding. Went to bajaj service centre and they said it can't be lowered. But they gave me a tip i found useful. They said that earlier version bikes such as Pulsar 180 and 220 are designed such that the rider's position is a bit slant when riding the bike. However, on an AS200, I'll need to change my riding position a bit and try sitting straight. Very straight. That way my legs won't ache. I tried doing that and yeah have been experiencing much more comfort when riding the bike. Both bikes are different in their design and the rider's position has to vary accordingly.

I'm experiencing a minor thudding sound everytime the bike goes through potholes. As if bike ke peeche gajra laga hai! I hope you guys aren't having the same problem. Will try fixing it during my first service.

Dude tyres start performing well only after they have warmed up. A cold MRF to a cold Metzler all feel the same, like a rock on a slope. Considering bangalore conditions with you starting and stopping with the rain, your slow riding speed, the rain and the cold wind, the tyres would have never warmed up to perform.

You can find N number of youtube videos of BMWs and KTMs and Yamahas skidding, all due to cold tyre. Even tyre manufactures themselves claim "optimal" temperatures for operation.

I rode from Chikmangalur to Bangalore in the pouring rain couple of weekends ago with a pillion, the tyre held up very well for the conditions.
                              Regardless, Life shall go on.

Even when its warmed up still it doesn't perform that well bro. As I told u the tyres are bad and its no where close to the old ones that came stock with p180
