It's been a month since I brought my bike from Chennai, thousand lights Khivraj.

These are the issues I am facing right

1). Squeaking noise from rear disc every half rotation, I had my doubts on wheel not being aligned, so I asked one of my friend to follow me and check if my wheel wobbles as if it's bent, he confirmed it.- yes there are cases where the rear wheel is faulty.GI to SVC and show them it's faulty.I have seen a lot of pulsars like rear wheel issue where it wobbles (can be felt more from 35-50 kmph).if you are sure then ask them for a tyre replacement.its there till 10000kms for any such manufacturing defect.Be adament to them as they willl try to give goli.


2). Every cold start I hear a harsh clanking(kinda metallic rattling) noise from engine while accelerating, it gets better after riding for a while. Yes I do idle my bike for a min (pulling the choke right after start kills the engine, works fine after a while).- may be tappet noise.check it outside to a good mechanic what is that sound and then if he says its tappet then ask SVC to do tappet settings.

3).There is flat spot in Rev range 3k to 4k to be exact where engine feels jerky as if I am running out of gas.- this is because you need a fine tune of the carburetor.its also common on most NS/AS Specially the new manufactured ones.
Ask the SVC to do a fine tune of carburetor.if he is confused then tell him that you are having cold start problems .

4).Khat sound from front suspension when engaging the front brake and pushing downward.(not sure if this is a big deal).- common in all the pulsars.you have To live with it.I have seen multiple cases where it was fixed but comes back after some kms.so better not to fiddle with it and let it be.just make sure you don't hit potholes that fast.later on 2nd service you can ask them to fix it.I am saying this because its a brand new bike and best not to touch it or fiddle much with it.

5). Bike leaning left(Service mechanic said, no bike rides in a straight line when you take your hands off , and I still gave my bike to them for servicing cause I don't know any good NS mechanic in Chennai.)- again this you have to live with it.even I had the same problem but the SVC tried so many fixes but no good.however there was one guy whose issue was fixed after replacing the T stem.although its gonna be impossible for you to make them replace the t stem.

I thought things would get better after 1st service or in extreme case 1000 kms, but these issues are still there.

I even mentioned the alignment issue to khivraj mount road during first service. They still haven't fixed it.





No matter what, I still love the bike and hoping I would get things sorted out.

1. Gears are really harsh. I can't really explain how much I got irritated with this.. When I try to shift I am getting sponge feel and gear is not exactly going to the slot.
And the first gear the lesser we talk about it the better.

2. I am experiencing a flat spot near 5k rpm.

Engine breaking in your case should have been one down then release then one down and release till you reached a safer speed to apply brakes. Never try doing what you did, that could break the gear since our Indian bikes have such a low tendency Tolarance

Yeah true that, downshifts have to be handled with care, bringing all that huge torque down isn't easy. But on panic situation, all I could think was this as brakes would have surely put me down.

Agree the AS has a lotta fairing to get off before one can start working on it but thats no excuse bro. You gotta take those guys happiness coz a clogged filter or damaged plugs can have repurcussions on performance.

I do not have an AS but NS but i get around 33 when ripping and also around the same when in the city. Strange but its true !

Will be trying the washer fix on the NS console tomorrow.

I ripped the bike to the core just to see its performance. I would be shifting gears at 8000 rpmfron 3rd gear.damn the engine just pulls.irony is that even after so much ripping I used to get 34 as mileage.so if you are getting something around 27-28 its either a bad tuned carb or somewhere fuel leakage is there(my case )

My as200 is 1705km old done 1st service at 800km. From today morning a weird noise is coming from engine. Hoping it's not from tappet😢. Visited nearest service center. They told me 1st service done at another service center so go there we can't help you. Disgusting rply from them😤

its great that you safe.. few days ago i too met an accident a guy who was absolutely deaf and dumb came out of no where in front my bike.. I fell but my bike was completly safe accept the front number plate.. it still have blood spots on it..
more over people over here told that beta tu bike chalaraha tha galti Teri hai.. and i was like why the hell on earth did people like this takes birth.. people were telling to pay for his damages so I did.. but that guys family was damn greedy even if the cycle had minor damages.. they asked me a new cycle and to pay his charges for not going to his duty.. but my mighty dad solved those..
and again helmet saved that day..

Hey! I have the exact same issue. it's driving me nuts! I did the same thing you suggested, but the my wheel seems fine. I got the rear disc checked my a local mech and he said that the rear disc may be bent slightly! Any improvement on this ?

Sounds like tappet noise. I have the same, but you have to bend down to level of the engine to hear it. I asked the ASC to check it out, they said they can't hear anything!

Had the same. Went away as i piled more kms.

Have the same problem. The Mechanics looked at me like I was asking them an IIT question! tightened the steering nut, but no improvement. Guess have to live with it. Difficult to explain and equally impossible to get the ASC to work on this problem.
