The damages he had are costing him because mainly of labour charge.Bajaj increased the labour charge for the products.
Also its estimation i believe , not the final price.

Mine was also cashless but the delay was mostly due to the fact that I was in the hospital and unable to participate in any sort of documentation or formalities. The bike has been fixed now, it's been 2 months since I've started riding again.
Its the fusion of a two wheeled machine & a human being which creates a true biker.

Can someone suggest a good route for Mumbai to Goa...
Planning a road trip for the 1st April... AS200, Fazer and an Activa...

Which highway bikes won't be allowed...

What's the best time to leave...

Where can we have a stop over...

Someone who's been there, done that...

          TIA

For example the ferring bracket if they change it or they don't i won't come to know and simply they ll add that to the bill. Also i would like to know if we can ask for the broken parts ......

I go to same place. these guys are twats. They let kiddos work on the bikes to gain experience. Just got out of 3rd Service. Told em to clean tank, left it soiled and still had watery goop in it. Told em to align the high beam, now it freakin points to the sky. I dunno why I agreed to decarb the engine, now its got flat spots in its rev range. Told em to tighten the fairing bolts, it rattles even more. Brake pads changed, and they dont even care to check if the tyre can spin afters.

When they bring it out after service, I see my Number plates bent, both of them, and Handle grips torn on one side. I always do take a test ride after the service, and I completely lost it when I see the bike accelerate worse than a P150, with the engine chokin and sputtering. Man it was such a buzz kill to ride home after seeing the head service guy try to wiggle his way out with words.

Spent the whole of sunday afternoon setting the AFRs myself. Good thing i know a little about mechanicals and fiddlin, else i dunno where i'd have ended up with all that mess.

                Hello Biker Gang!

I have been following this thread for over 3 months now since I was planning to purchase a bike. I had my eyes on two models, the Apache 200 RTR Fi and the Pulsar 200AS. Evidently I chose the P200AS as my ride. This is my first two wheel machine that I have bought after saving like a miser for almost a year and a half and I wanted to be sure I am buying the right machine with my hard earned dimes. So, I thought of taking the word of the very owners and thanks to all of you for making it easy for me to buy this beast.

I took the delivery on 03.03.2016 at 03:33 P.M. No I am not superstitious! It is just coincidence that the receipt date and time was this.. LOL! Anyways, the bike is registered as of now and luckily I got a damn good number. I have done 325Km till now. The dealer hooked me up with a Xenos immobilizer for free and I paid for Teflon Coating (I strongly doubt if it was) and anti-rust coat.

I am not very well versed with motorcycle engineering and I am relying on expertise of you people to educate me on my troubles with this beast. I love my ladies, I had always driven around in a car earlier but times change and so does the wheels. That was my parent's and this baby is all mine.

I have the Eurogrip Tyres on, despite my efforts to have MRF rubbers from dealer, I am planning to change them to Pirelli though (if I get the specified size) by my luck if available.

                My Experience till now:
                1. The Front seems a little heavy, especially the handle bar which I feel is heavy and it takes some efforts to turn it from one side to the other.
                2. Panel gaps are evident and it is very difficult to give this baby a wipe after the wash in the front visor area. Gaps between the visor and the console is very difficult to dry.
                3. I am diligently riding it at 3.4 to 4k till now without stressing it.
                4. I left the handle bar to check the alignment and the bike (everytime) leans to my right. I thought it was the road, I tried it almost every where and every time it leaned to right side.
                5. The front makes a thud thud noise when it falls in a pot hole and the rear disc (most probably) is making a gun gun noise when the bike is at 20km to 25 km after I gave it the first was.
                6. Projector headlamps are not as effective as I though they will be. I mean they work fine in the dark but fails effectiveness in the orange street lights. The high beam shoots right at the sky (good for highways but has no use on the city streets).
                7. Ineffective horn. In Kolkata, if you can steer, you are a driver (practically there are id*** and hooligans driving around so you need an effective horn.
                8. The engine noise is not very pleasant, there is a session of instrumentals playing, the gring gring, the dhakar dhakar and the dok dok. Not on lound note but something like desi indian engine. No refinement.
                9. The console assembly has gaps and is more evident when the headlight is on, there is a little light reflecting out of the gaps from behind the console end joints.
                10. One wash and the Xenos speaker went from chweent chweent to chwint chwint. I am going to say hi to the dealer soon.

Kindly suggest me alternatives for the headlight bulbs as I need good lights and something for the seat, it hurts my a** after some time on the riding. My right hand goes numb on the accelerator and the under-thighs gets sprained. I live in Kolkata so you gotta suggest something real goooood. I can spend on quality stuff if it is worth it.

Also, I am planning to buy the LS2318, is it good? Any suggestions for gloves and jackets will be highly appreciated friends. Kindly assist me to keep my ride swanky, I ain't the graphic guy but would like the ride to look classy and mint.

I do thank all of you to assist me making my decision.

                Happy Riding!

Congratulation dude, Welcome to the Pulsar AS gang.

                  - Front is heavy yep, fairing bulk is to blame. Make sure the handle turns freely end to end, also that it doesnt rock under front braking. Get that fixed...
                  - Panel Gaps are a thing on every bajaj product. but hey, they provide with awesomeness at the price. Although too much gaps aint good.
                  - Front does thump when you even scale a speedbreaker. I managed to get rid of that and most vibrations by putting rubber bushes at every bolt around the fairing (well most of the larger bolts), a custom job done at a friends garage.
                  - Disc brakes have a hum to it on new bikes, thats normal.
                  - Headlights are weak yes. I swapped it with a phillips h7 on the projector. Highbeams are meant to point at the sky, may be to summon the autobots. After my 3rd service requests, it still points up high. Apparently theres a knob inside under the console clutter to align it. Im gonna find that out...
                  - Stock horns are puny. I got em changed with dual Bosch impacts. I wired those my self, and whoa the first time I blared it right behind a rickshaw, it nearly ran off the road.
                  - Engine is pretty desi, and it shows. Its not refined. But its important that you keep under limits in the initial 500 kms. After 600, switch to Motul 5100. The harshness is low with that oil.
                  - IF console assembly has light seeping through it then take it back to the SVC man, thats uncool in the rains.
                  - For the seats, i put on a layer of soft foam layer with lamination, and then the black net kind of cover over that. The rear seat kind of has to be pushed harder to lock though. And put on some soft handgrips, things are a breeze now.
                  - im not sure about the riding gear. but LS2s are pretty snug and sturdy.
                  - to keep it swanky, i clean off grime everyday in the night with a clean cloth. In the rains too, after every ride back home, I hose down the muck and grime. And every two week, I Shampoo wash it. Also make sure you use a micro fibre cloth. the surface is scratched (the gleam n shine kind of wears off) too easily even with regular sorts of cloth.
                  - I wouldnt know about the graphics though. I keep it looking stock, black n understated.
                  - Above all, there are loads of guys here with all sorts of experiences... they too will hook you up with proper tips.

Happy riding dude, and Ride safe....

                    Thank You Rohit,

You are DUDE mate! As of now there are no evident vibrations from the Fairing, the thud thud noise is when the front Tyre falls in a pot hole in a surprise. I am sure it is because of loose ball racer.

Yes I will take it to SVC on Friday for 1st service and will get the console gap fixed for leaking light. I am grateful for the wonderful idea for the seat though, I have ordered a custom made medium density foam cushion seats stitched in hardened and processed PU material. I will have the stock headlamp changed to H7 Phillips on Friday. I am just scared of scratches, I wipe it with microfibre cloth, water in my area has high iron content so I refrain from using much of it on the metal. I need the handle bar grips but can't find anything with quality.

Let me know your advise and opinion guys. It is valuable to me!!

                    Safe riding all.

My lights (console, headlights, indicators, switch) and horn are not working. I can read the speed, fuel, etc. information on the meter, self is working fine, even the immobilizer is working fine but, only the lights and horn are off. All mechanics are on Holi-Day and so is SVC. I need to do it myself and I need to know where do I start, the booklet has nothing on fuse. Kindly assist me on the same, I brought the bike to work. I can't take it back without lights at night.

There won't be any increase in acceleration after 43t.. But if you want to experiment, Irevs may be able to help you

Thank you Paradoxr9019, The fuse for both my bike and the immobilizer had knocked out. There is something wrong with the wiring as the same is repeating without any intervals and I am literally carrying fuse in my backpack but, I am helpless as it is painstaking to change these fuses over and over again. I am taking bike to the showroom today to have sorted. I have been riding home at nights without any horns or lights. I am sure the problem has arisen due to the immobilizer.
It is painful to remove side panel for to access fuse box, the screw are also of low quality, it slips the grip.
