You should already have bro.. The life of dtsi, if you rolling on that, is not more that 2k .. 2.5 k max. If you rolling on 5100/7100 5k kms between intervals is perfectly fine.

Is it due to bad spark plugs or carb..
Could be multiple reasons - chain slack, clutch wire slack, accel cable loose, carb issues like diaphragm, float body, float alignment. Bad spark plugs could be an issue too.

Would you able to post pics of your spark plugs ? Would be easier to judge

The Severe handle bar buzzing is still there and am desperate to find a solution to it.

Today I redlined the bike and did around 145kmph but the gps app I usedon android showed a top speed of 129 only. I wonder which one is accurate because there cant be a speedo error that big. Is it?
Yes there is speedo error.130kmph shows 118 ,speedo error is pretty big but its normal on modern bikes.

Well then its pretty useless then to have digital consoles on the bike. So if i was doing 100 by the speedo I would acutally be doing like 85 and so on? Or would the error margin increase exponentially as the speed increases?

The jerkiness goes off but comes back.I had the same problem but the fix for it is to Fine tune the carb very well. The carb was fine tuned so you dont feel any jerk.It mainly comes when you decelerate and the moment you accelerate. Its normal on carb. Its called throttle response and thats how it works. But if its too much then there is a problem with AFR,taking more air or more fuel leaving some fuel unburnt!

So basically I will be running around in circles with this bike as long as I have it with me. I am guessing this is why you switched to duke? I have travelled around 4690km till date in just two months. I am little worried now that my bike will age real fast.

Stick to DTSi till 8K and post that feel free to switch to Motul 7100 or 5100 depending on your riding circumstances.

No bro nothing like that its gonna age.that's how bikes are.you see old calibers , platina, pulsar etc all would have run some 1.4 lakhs kms and still going strong.if you look its just bajaj whose you can see on the road.hardly u see any other bikes than bajaj lasting for so long (excluding karizma but for that time it was costly)
Main reason for me to go for Duke was because mine had too many issues.even while taking a turn I can feel the bike is gonna fall.front break used to lock sometimes even with the small press.those were pretty scary and I had my moments where my Ba#$s were literally in my mouth.then fuel evap horrible throttle response etc....those were too much to handle.I just took an FI bike and this seems to be free of any sort of troubles. But I must confess even till date I see any NS or AS passing I always look at it.to me the NS/as has the best engine for a 200cc bike and after that the CBR 250r.the AS engine is so smooth and picks power so quickly from midrange I just love it.if I has the option I would have put the AS engine on Duke [emoji1]

Just keep on riding and don't worry.when you feel there is some problem the SVC is there.all you need to do is exactly get a fine tune and then it will be all smooth.if i remember correctly it was something around 1.45 co level.its less than 1.5 though but that's when I felt the bike was having an FI.you can try once.and that is not a lean mixture.because the co meter will show it to be green, and that means its well within the range as mentioned by bajaj

Wow that is definalty reasurring. And I really appreciate you following this thread to help us all even though you have moved on to a differnt bike.
I guess the important thing would be to find a decent service service center first with sensible staff who would hear out your issues and do something to rectify them. And I do intend to keep this bike for a long time

Yes I would say find a good mechanic outside .the asc isn't that great for bajaj.there a lot of good garage where you can find a very good mechanic for pulsars [emoji4]
