Hey brothers, can anyone tell me what base bulb goes in the projector of the AS?
I mean is it H1 or H7 or H11 or something else.
Its not mentioned in the manual and also, I couldn't find it anywhere online.

Thanks brother. I think the stock projector bulb is of bad quality, as it stops working within a few months.

My brother has an AS and he has replaced the projector bulb 2 times within just 6 months. Don't know, if its a known issue or only his bike is having this issue.

The stock projector and front discpads are the known common issues i found some other guys with same problem.

It's a know issue, sadly. I had to change mine within 2 months as well. But luckily I had complained about it to Bajaj and got it replaced under warranty.

Fit a Osram H7 bulb from outside, if you guys are facing issues with the stock bulb.

Hi everyone..looks like the crowd has gotten bigger. That's awesome

It's been a long time since I've posted in the thread. What to say; I've been busy. Juggling work and personal life has been hectic, you guys.

Here's a quick update of my ownership experience so far:

around 9k done. I lost a couple of months in between because I had an accident. The bike was awaiting some crucial spare parts for a while after that. As for the accident...well, I actually don't remember what happened. Selective amnesia or some sort. My helmet saved my life.

Back to the bike. It's been a great experience so far. I haven't had any major problems. It's heavy enough to stay put even in heavy crosswinds, and agile enough when needed. I don't do any knee-downs though; I'm more of a straight shooter and the bike suits me.

The weight can be an issue when lifting it up or just pulling it from standstill. What a workout!!

I haven't had any issues with vibes or lights so far...touchwood

The bike lacks torque at the lower revs, which can be missed in some situations.

The rider seat is comfortable (on most days), but I've heard nothing but complaints from every.single.pillion. And I have to agree. The pillion seat is too hard for comfort.

I haven't calculated the mileage meticulously, but as far as I can tell it's close to 40 kmpl. Mind you, 90 percent of all my riding has been in highways.

What else..well that's all that I can think of so far..

I'm going to try being a little more active in this thread going forward

                    Safe Journeys!

EDIT: I forget to mention a niggle with the bike. I seem to hit the neutral too often when shifting between 1st and 2nd gears. It can be a little irritating when you want to gain speed quickly to escape the traffic and suddenly hit neutral. On a related note, sometimes it takes a little more force than it should to downshift to the 1st gear. It's rare, but bugs me when it happens. Overall, the gearbox seems to be a little clunky at times.

Hey guys, I finally moved to Bangalore and got my bike here in one piece from Noida.

Can anyone recommend a good RTO agent for handling road tax payment - with minimum time spent from my side?
And as my bike is only 4 months old, is there some extra 'entry' tax that is supposed to be paid?

PS I don't need to re-register just yet, right? (I got the NOC done just in case)

Please pass on any agent info that you know.
                        Thanks.

They are friendly and helpful. I didn't have prior experience, but i inquired as i too might get transfer soon... You need noc and can ride for 1 yr freely without paying tax....

If you get caught by police and if your noc date shows more than year old then your problem will start.

For now use your noc always when you take your bike and enjoy your ride happily in bglore city for 1 yr. Post that, you must reregister....with tax paid

1 year without paying road tax?
I thought it was only 30 days. (with re-registration being mandatory after 1 year)
Thanks for the link. I'll inquire with them.

Not anymore, thanks to Karnataka high court. Karnataka high court has quashed the 30 days rule. Now it is 11 months. You couldn't have moved at a better time, HC Ruling came just 3 days back. BTW, to pay road tax in Bangalore you don't need NOC. NOC is required only if you want to re register your bike in KA.
