Post here for a better response. Because engine oil leak in an engine issue, and that is different across the two bikes.

I thought it was only 30 days. (with re-registration being mandatory after 1 year)
Thanks for the link. I'll inquire with them.
Re-registration requires NOC, however even it is advisable to take NOC from RTO. Means, if your stay at B'glore is going to be more than 1 yr (11 months) then you must have valid NOC and change of address should be done and then number has to be re-registered again with road tax paid.

You cannot live there with road tax paid alone for ever. 1 yr is the maximum period that you can live around without re-registration. If you plan to stay beyond that period, get NOC first from your RTO now and do the re-registration process after 6 or 7 months.

I'd advice you to have an NOC whether you are going to stay beyond 1 year or not. Because the agents at B'glore told me that Police use your NOC as your entry date (not the toll gate or fuel station slip anymore). Why take risk?.

NOC is not necessary to pay LTT in KA. In fact, you don't even need an address proof to pay LTT in Bangalore. Once you pay LTT, RTO guys will issue a receipt & you can use that receipt as a proof and ride your vehicle as long as you desire. Although it is recommend to re register your vehicle, it is definitely not mandatory to do it. Only issue by not re registering is that, you won't get a chance to claim refund of LTT from your parent state.

Since lot of people were misusing 11 months rule, RTO official used to demand proofs other than toll receipt etc. AFAIK, PUC certificate from a different state is good enough as a proof.

Has anyone heard anything about THH lids?

The options I've found in my area are THH, studds, Vega, LS2

I've liked the looks of the THH ones. Anyone could suggest me a good lid below 5k

If you're really particular about how snug the helmet fits to your head, I'd say stay away from THH. They don't have different sizes on offer.
For your budget you can check out Kranos (Manufactured by MT) & MT AXXIS. If you can stretch out a bit you can checkout MT Blade, it's padding, fit and finish is quite good.

              Cool.
Like I said, I already have a NOC, even though it's not needed for paying road tax.
I'm happy with the 1 year duration now. I can wait and see how things develop before I decide to re-register.

Guys today used my phone gps to check the speedo error. The app used was geo tracker. I guess the speedometer is way off from reality. When I was doing 100kmph as per the speedo the gps showed it to be 89 or so. And when I did around 141 kmph the gps went upto 129. This is ridiculous. Should I ask the svc to look into this? I know there is some speedo error always but this is way too much. Any solutions?

Speedos always have 8-10% error dialled in. Also, mobile GPS tracking apps aren't 100% accurate either. They perform well only under open skies and badly in overcast or rainy days.
A proper speed test can be done through dedicated systems like V Box.

I crashed last sunday in my lane at the speed of around 40 a dog suddenly came in betn and i had no time to react hence fell on the right hand side. I suffered scratches all over my body with my right knee taking maximum damage. The bike is also gone from the right hand side. Gave it for insurance today and ve been quoted 20k approx and 20 days minimum. Here are some pics ride safe guys and always wear riding gear as long as possible. I surely missed abs and knee protectors during this crash

Glad you are off with scratches. God bless to heal your wounds and give back confidence. What i learn here is speeding doesn't always matter for an accident, a simply dog is enough.

ABS is a life saver bro. We must need that...Which wheel locked?. Front or back?

I have always been a advocate of using the rear brake in emergency but this time i donno y i slammed the front break and it locked and hence the merry sleep. Thx for the wishes bro it hurts to see my bike and me injured like this

Fork is bent well enough so heres what the svc guy made a list of
Fork assy though he said ins wont approve it but i want a new one as i dont wanna ride on a realigned fork assy
                                Ferring
                                Rh indicator
                                Ferring bracket

                                Rear cowl repaint
                                Rh handle
Rh ferring the one next to headlamp on as200
                                Front alloy wheel
                                Front disk plate
                                Rear brake lever
I requested for most parts to be replaced as i dont wanna be in any second thoughts when am cruising at 120+

Nonethess i do feel its a ripoff as a few parts mentioned above are clearly not in need of a replacemnt
