Btw what mileage do you guys get? I'm getting below 30s in Hyderabad traffic.

Anytime mate. The washer solution was a revelation! The console buzz should be eliminated for the AS after the washer fix
Agree the AS has a lotta fairing to get off before one can start working on it but thats no excuse bro. You gotta take those guys happiness coz a clogged filter or damaged plugs can have repurcussions on performance.

I do not have an AS but NS but i get around 33 when ripping and also around the same when in the city. Strange but its true !

Will be trying the washer fix on the NS console tomorrow.

Guys i am getting terrible noise from the bikes clip on handle bars on both sides when i rev slightly hard. I tightened the switches but still there is a terrible buzz from them. What to do.

Also need suggestions about a few accessories if anyone has installed them.
Phone mount for clip on bars as i could not find any online which would go with this bike.
Engine guard or belly pan for asthetics. I read in someones post that duke200 belly pan can be fitted with very little adjustment on the NS200. Any ideas?

Also got rynox air gt jacket. Its got excellent all weather capabilities Would like to know some cheap knee protectors to go along for long tours.

I ripped the bike to the core just to see its performance. I would be shifting gears at 8000 rpmfron 3rd gear.damn the engine just pulls.irony is that even after so much ripping I used to get 34 as mileage.so if you are getting something around 27-28 its either a bad tuned carb or somewhere fuel leakage is there(my case )

Not my bike's picture (got this pic from google). But I have installed a similar one, does the job pretty well. What i like about this one is, in AS200 it stays behind the fairing visor, so i don't have to worry about my cell phone flying off due to strong headwinds. I can also capture some vibrating shaky videos as well.
One can also tie some rubberband or something similar to the holder and phone to ensure the cell phone's safety.

That's not my bike's pic mate. But you can adjust the angle to which it has to stay. I keep it fully low, so that the fairing covers it, and the console is viewable as well..

                Hi all,

got an almost head on collision today with an activa (was a gearless scooter dont think it was activa but something a little smaller). there was a bad potholed single road it was around 7:30pm and i was doing around 40. an activa was coming from the front and suddenly came to my side and hit me almost in the middle but slightly to my right. I dont know exactly what happened but i felt tye bike swirling and almost getting thrown off the bike but somehow managed to hang on to the handle bar. fortunately (and dont know how) i was able to balance with my feet and stopped about 10 meters ahead. Right foot was hurting bad. I got off the bike and looked back. To my horror a girl was lying next to the fallen activa. Did have an impulse to just leave because of fear but heart didnt let me. A crowd of about 30-40 people gathered instantly.
I walked upto the girl and she was fine. she yelled at me and i quietly heard it without responding even though i thought it wasnt anyones fault, she probably changed direction due to falling in a pothole on the road. she was fine and started to go and i started walking back to my bike. Then she suddenly came and asked me to pay for damage done to her activa. I agreed because i didnt want the matter escalating. Her front panel had come off. She called her uncle who supposedly ran a workshop and asked for two thousand rupees. I was about to give it but many people from the crowd started taking my side. They said it wasnt my fault and there was no reason that i sould pay. (I was really surprised and relieved to see this as i thought that crowd will be on her side since she was a girl).
I started to take out my purse and 3-4 boys stopped me and asked me not to give anything! Some of them even said that she was ripping me off and i should just take my bike and go and they would cover me! however, i didnt want to and said that ill stay. the crowd bargained for me and were trying to bring her down to one thousand. finally it was settled at 1500. i paid and went to my bike while some were still asking me to not pay and take the matter to police. I was glad that noone really got hurt and it was settled without any injury to the girl.

On going back to my bike my foot was hurting but i just wanted to get out of there. After going a little further i tried to slow down at a turn and i couldnt feel my foot brake lever. i thought maybe my foot was numb. i stopped to take a look and saw this:

the brake lever was completely bent!! like a U shape. after looking atthis i was really thankful that my foot was not hurt much. (touchwood)

Tells you the importance of wearing shoes and driving at a sane speed. I guess the girl was also coming at around 40-50 and due to head on collision the relative speed was around 80-100 Kmph which resulted in such huge force that it bent the steel brake lever.

Will go and get the brake lever changed at ASC. is there any other alternative brake lever that can be fit on an AS200 (maybe NS 200/RS200 brake lever) which is lower for comfort of the right foot?

Air Filter is located as on the NS too mate. Pull off the saddle for easy access and unscrew the side cowls covers, pretty simple.

In Mumbai under mixed condition, i get about 34-35. If hauling ass behind me, then that drops to a 30.

3-spark plugs, i feel you, prbly marketing bakchod. Or may be it helps fire gas-n-air at three different points in the chamber fr max burn.

I faced exactly the same issue with my bike as well. The vibes are originating in the console itself. What happens is that the console is mounted on screws on a flexible mount to dampen the very vibes that cause this noise. Unfortunately, given Bajaj's famous lack of QA, the mount is super vibey and transmits terrible vibes as you go higher the rev range.

The solution is to take a day out, sit with a senior tech, and make him open the entire front instrument console to mount rubber washers on the Console mounts. It is a lengthy process my friend. This solved the problem for me! Hope it does for you too. Keep me posted!

                          Hello Guys,

2000 kms and 2nd service completed. I noticed something strange while servicing this time. The ASS never cleaned the air filters not spark plugs for AS/NS 200!
I had more urgent matters to fix so i didn't raise this issue, but have you guys seen the technicians properly removing and cleaning the 3 spark plugs and air blow cleaning the paper filter?
Hey Thanks Man... I will be visiting the Service center sometime soon during the weekend.. My idea was to fit double tape between the gaps of the console.. Jugaad :P 😋
But let me figure out what expert mechanic has to say...

And yes at service center insist to do the complete service in front of you... I always get my service done only when i m present..

                          Cheers 🍻

The bike is too getting heavy... The crash guard doesn't really guard much. I skid at something below 15km and by gear lever got bent. The guard got bent as well... I'm looking for an after market guard as the one with the bike isn't that strong
