Also it's a machine so there will be vibes.its not an electronic one.
Just don't bother about vibes. Enjoy the power and torque of this bike. But I can say you one you move to 7100 and complete 1000 km s on it the vibes at that rpm will be gone . but change only at 8000 kms or after.
ohk... bdw as per your recomendation i am not going above 5k except some times while over talking trucks or busses in highway...thing is the bike is asking to be revved.. can i go to 6k rpm.

Yes absolutely.now you should often try to cross your bike speed around 100 kmph.I think you completed almost 2000 kms.feel free to recv it.break in is almost complete

one thing i want to clear out.. bajaj official topspeed is 136 for as 200 right.. then how come it crosses ktm rc 200 in a longrun when rc is doing 138? and as doing 142..

i am actually pointing the speedo error thing.. because i was it cant go beyond 136 as company claimed.

U mean the top speed?rc200 is FI and its speed is capped to 138.as can actually touch 148 coz there is no Rev limiter.RC has a Rev limiter which limits the speed to, 138

i was told that AS cant go beyond 136kmph as bajaj claimed. if i foing 142 actually i am doing 136 left is error then how it overtakes rc.. then definitely it has higher top speed claimed that of bajaj.
                    isn't it??

Not necessarily. The top speed is determined based on fixing certain parameters such as body weight, fuel level, air pressure, wind conditions, ground gradient, af ratio, etc. A run in bike can, at times, perform little bit better than the stock, test run bikes due to better engine conditions, engine oil, tuning, and other such stuff. Since the pulsar engine is cut off at particular rpm(11k rpm, I guess) , it can go on till the rpm is reached. But rc200 fi uses bike speed also in its parameters. So if it crosses the speed cap, assuming 138, even at 10k, bike speed will be restricted.

BTW, AS resale is pathetic. max am offered was 75k for a 6months and 3.5k Kms old bike. Looks like am stuck with this! Am feeling very very uncomfortable riding it after the incident!

Don't worry about this brother. 120 kph is not a easy number to reach. Try doing that on Pulsar 220 R15, CB150, and you will find how long it takes and how much power you need to put in to bring that number in SPEEDO. Beyond 120, only a full faired bike can take advantage, but that being said, just about 10 kph advantage and beyond that, any bike for that matter will suffer because of winds. Any means, any CC... 300, 600, etc. But higher CC bikes have the power to fight the wind, but still you will lose all your comfort.

One of the major factor that makes you feel your bike powerless is, opposing wind. Based on the strength of wind you can do sometimes 130 kph easily and sometimes struggle for 120kph either.

                            > I have tried upto 128 kph many times till date, it's been over 1 year on my NS. Sometimes the bike feels powerful even after @120 kph (if on 5th gear), and sometimes the bike had also refused going beyond 120 kph on FULL throttle in gear 6. I have a video in my youtube which revealed that my rev limit LED started blinking as early as 122 kph itself while I was in gear 6.Was a big shock, how come the rev limiter reach so soon, that I was just doing 122 kph in speedo, where the true speed was ~118kph. The answer was Wind on open road

                            > Another day, I had no problem till 128 kph on a different road.

                            > Last time on my long trip, I had no problem in keeping speeds upward of 115 to 125 kph, because I tied a very big bag on my fuel tank, hence the air blast was less.

Remember, air takes so much of our fuel and engine power. With very less air, the bike can hit above 140 easily, but that's not possible on our roads, except mountain areas. Mine is coastal, so expect the worst. Post 100 kph, I start to get the wind blast right on my chest

                            >>Also don't worry about vibes rev up/down. It'll be there, this is single cylinder and can't avoid them creeping in. But maybe Motul 7100 can give some relief. Also, a proper run-in can help.

Yes, 136 kph was the actual speed that the bike is capable (At certain conditions like wind, fuel quantity, rider weight, etc). Bajaj Speedo has about 3-4% error. So adding this, will take the Speedo numbers to 141-143 kph. If luckily the road is a slope, then you have a chance of getting big numbers still. RS200 roughly goes 6 kph more than AS and NS do for top speed, that's because it's rev range has been increased about 500 rpm more than AS and NS

That's completely normal. For example, if you are doing 120, and let go of throttle fully for 5 secs, you can find the bike dropping speed very fast and reaching about 80 kph. Try this and you will find the same. The reason behind is, the NS (AS/RS as well) engine has a compression ratio which is very high about 11.1:1 compared to Apache 180 or Pulsar 220 which is about 9.5:1. So the need for high compression ratio is to extract more horses from the engine of almost similar displacement. This is also main reason why being a 20cc less, NS/RS/AS pumps more horses than P220 or Karizma 220.

The more the compression ratio, the more power you can extract, at the same time, it revs down very quick. Since you were riding at 120+, the RPM would be around 8.5K, which is very high and hence you can expect a rapid drop with no throttle.
