The Spartan aspida nemesis comes with rain and thermal liner. The Icarus comes only with rain liner. The black nemesis costs rs.5999. Different colured ones comes at couple of hundred more. Just bought it in November. The Spartan website hasn't been updated with nemesis. So not many people know its existence. Its exactly an Icarus with an extra thermal liner. I just found this when I visited pro gear shop for buying it. Visit a Spartan pro gear shop and u will find it.

70kmph sounds good.Originally posted by Anubhav M View PostGuys I need some help. I have to take my bike to a different city and I have considered all options and the only option suitable is to drive it there. The distance is 1100 Km and I intend to complete that in 3 days. My bike has done 300km and will get the bikes 1st service and then take it up for the long haul. Please lend me some tips and dos and donts so that I do not ruin my bike in the break in period. I intend to take the bike maximum of 70km/hr on the highway varying the speeds and giving proper rest to the bike but slower than that and I will not be able to cover the distance in 3 days.
i did 800 km trip just after taking my bike out of service center on 1st service took her till 90kmph on 6th gear it will come up around 5.5 k rpm for me so no issues. wnjoy ur ride but keep changing gear and rpm till u cross 1200+km dont keep constant rpm it may glaze ur piston

never trust digital meter on as200 man.Originally posted by Harsha Mahendrakar View PostCan anybody tell how do you know that u have hit reserve?? I am little bit confused with it..!! Is the fuel indicator accurate on our bike or it has some error's? Bcoz I every time refuel the bike when the petrol indicator is left with one bar and I never noticed it hitting reserve. Thanks in advance
when my digital show empty tank that time my bike hit reserve.
digital meter reserve function is useless
simple rule when whole digital meter will go empty bike will go in reserve , rotate that tab and u have 2 ltr more

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
The bike shuts off when im slowing down. Throttle OFF, clutch pressed and usually downshifting. This basically happens when I'm about to take a turn or going down a steep slope (i keep shuffling between hills and plains). It happens both in hills and in plains. It happens randomly not always. It doesnt happen if i dont let go of the throttle completely and keep giving just a little race with the right wrist.Bike was bought in June and has done ~4500 KM. Idle speed was adjusted during first service at 500 KM and has not been change since then. Engine oil was changed at ~2500KM in August End.

I think there is nothing to worry brother. It doesn't happen to all and it was one such bad experience to him which he already stated. We thought it could be due to a bad jet. He said it was all okay before his bike was water cleaned. Avoid jetting water at some critical locations. Don't freak out, not many had stated about this, I've been through all posts from Day 1Originally posted by marmiteminer View Post<<<<ALERT >>>>
Gentlemen, Please read these topics: They are about coolants & their maintenance (very important)
The conclusion is that Motul Inugel coolant is very harmful for the NS/AS/RS bikes. This coolant is damaging the important oil-seal at waterpump chamber, hence making coolant to enter the crankcase & mixing with engine oil, therefore silently killing the engine.
Another bad news is "maybe" few NS/AS/RS bikes came with default factory filled Motul Inugel coolant
So please check this issue by looking through your engine oil window. If you see any white milky bubble/froth or green-ish liquid, urgent attention is required!

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Okay, the next culprit that I can think of is CDI. Any component malfunction can result in miss firing, resulting in engine stall. Well, it can happen random. If you are sure about no carb issue, you can zero down on CDI and timing chain. This is nothing to do with spark plug. A misfire not always makes the engine die, sometimes loss of pickup, jerk, etc can be noticed. Plus, if the spark isn't ignited for even the minimum amount of time(must be for some micro sec, not sure), that is more than enough to make the engine turn off.Originally posted by guptavis View PostThe bike shuts off when im slowing down. Apart from this, I really can't and don't think something else is wrong and that too in a carb bike.
Please ask the SVC to check that. Keep a word about CDI to them. If required, try replacing. No need to open engine. But I'm assuming your carb is perfectly working.

Thanks jbm_guy! I really dont know much technicalities about bikes as this is my first bike(would love to learn though, have a better than avg idea about cars). Im going for my second service tomorrow. ~4600KM. Will report issue to them and ask them to check the carb and CDI.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostOkay, the next culprit that I can think of is CDI. Anything else i need to tell them during service? Will try to get most of the work done on the back side of the service coupon (not much hope from bajaj ASC though!).
If the spark plugs are at fault would like to replace with NGK ones. Any idea on what model NGK plugs fit the AS200?
thanks xplod566, Clutch play seems to be normal, but will ask SVC to check tomorrow during service.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostHow about clutch plate.will it be fine.I remember I had this issue couple of days ago until I fixed the clutch play...

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
NKG wont do anything good for a 200 cc bike.Bajaj uses champion spark plug which are already excellent.just push them to solve the issue and make sure (100%)that you mention this problem in the job card.Originally posted by guptavis View PostThanks jbm_guy! Re: Pulsar AS 200 Spark Plugs NGK
Like i said im a novice in the bike world. My alto also has champion plugs by company but i shifted to NGK. NGK looks like its better quality and stays cleaner for longer.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostNKG wont do anything good for a 200 cc bike.Bajaj uses champion spark plug which are already excellent.just push them to solve the issue and make sure (100%)that you mention this problem in the job card.
I thought ill move to NGK if the SVC asks me to change plugs. Probably atleast as good as the champion ones.
Looked on the NGK website and finally its working now (wasnt for a few months).
The website recommends the following for Pulsar 200NS:
centre plug : LKAR8A-9
left and right: CPR8EA-9
Will make them note the issue on the job card. What if i cant reproduce the issue since it happens sometimes only randomly.
