Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
7100 is fully synthetic and would not degrade with time so you can safely use it. Also oil does not decompose in crank case as its air tight. However i recommend go to any service station and get general service done including cleaning of air filters as many svc tend to avoid it.Originally posted by guptavis View Post

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Also change coolant and flush it well as coolant decomposes and becomes sedementedOriginally posted by guptavis View PostHi guys,
I have a red AS200 bought in june 2015. Had done around 5800km till may 2016 when i had my third service with Bajaj DTSI 10000 oil change. Till june 2016 i had done around 7000km and changed oil to Motul 7100. Suddenly after that i got transferred and bike usage completely stopped. Since that take it out for a short 10-15km ride every 15-20 days. so bike has done only around 500km in the last year.
Oil change is recommended after every 5000km or 1 year, i have done only ~500km but time lapsed has been just over a year.
Does engine oil degrade with time? Do i need to get the oil changed?
Its been two years since i purchased the bike, so things like coolant etc also need to be changed?
Can a roadside mechanic do this or is it better to go to a bajaj service centre for this?
Have tried Nitya motors solan, Pratap bajaj panchkula, pratap bajaj chandigarh, but never been very impressed with the quality of work.
Anyone know of a good FNG or SVC in chandigarh/Panchkula ?

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
It will not make much of a difference but , you should always stick to the original viscosity grade of the engine oil.Originally posted by Pragyanand Tripathi View PostHi Guys,

10w / 20w just means the oil should have a maximum viscosity/flow at low temperature (W= winter).
Lower grade oil are generally thinner than the comparison so if you are using something that is thinner than specified then there is chances is oil leakage from the engine sealings..

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hello everyone! My bike has clocked about 15k kms on the odi. I'm currently facing an accelerator cable issue. The rpm soars on turning to the right. I tried to check the routing of the cable without removing the fairing and found the cable covering to be slit because of abrasion against a metallic part which I presume is to support the fairing.
Should I right away change the cable or can it be because of the slit/routing?
Anyone experienced the same here?

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hello everyone
I am feeling vibes on my console area. Its like whenever i ride in lower rpms like 3 to 5k in gears like 1st,2nd or 3rd and I full twist the throttle then the whole console fairing shakes. Is it in every as200 or something is wrong with my bike . Thanks in advance

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hello everyone!!!
I have an AS200 and change the directional lights for a led, so I also buy a flasher to avoid the flashing fast, the problem is that I do not find where the flasher of the directional is located, in the NS200 is in the right side of the bike. Does anyone know where it is located? Thank you.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
No posts for almost two months!
Replaced my front Eurogrip with the Zapper FX1. The bike's handling has been transformed... the front end feels lighter, yet more stable. The tramlining is gone, and it's handling poor surfaces much better. Turn-in has improved a lot, too.
I scrubbed the new tyre in slowly for the first 150 km, and then started riding faster. Though I haven't had any panic braking moments on the new tyre, it already seems far better than the Eurogrip.
I expected the FX1 to be a bit expensive, but it was only Rs. 1,750 at a dealer in north Calcutta (manufactured in February 2017; couldn't find a more recent lot). Good value for money!
On a different note, I've moved back to Motul 5100 after a few rounds of 7100. The latter felt fine for the first 1,000-1,500 km, but became very rough after that (hard gearshifts, too). In my experience, the AS200 feels much happier on Motul 5,100 with a 2,500-3,000 km oil change interval.
Looking forward to a ~1800 km trip to northern Bengal (Dooars) in November

Congrats on new upgrade. Do you mind telling where did you source HIDs from.Originally posted by zequirkynetizen View PostInstalled HID lights for both upper and projector. 6000k temperature. Looks good and performs well [emoji4]

Also could you post pictures of light spread in the dark (both high beam and low beam).
I have been using LED bulbs in my bike, and in my experience projector doesn't work well with them.

Good alternate to hid would be fog lamps mounted on crash guards. I installed them and has been working fine for past one year. Gives good coverage of the road at night time. Also works as cool bright drls in the daytime.Originally posted by zequirkynetizen View PostInstalled HID lights for both upper and projector. 6000k temperature. Fog lamps like that attract traffic police like moths to flame. And trust me HIDs are THE best solution when it comes to lighting.
I have used HID kid in my previous Honda Unicorn and it was the best lighting I have ever seen.
But it is not as focused as halogens in reflectors meant for halogens.
And in my experience with projector of our bike (as 200) it won't well with any other type of bulbs as the physics/optics thing.
LED bulb in reflector (high beam) does give good results but I think HID will give much better results.
Only problem with HID is it strains battery a LOT
