    Please suggest
Mrf masseter 140/70 r17 for 4000rs which has a questionable life as there are no reviews about this tyre anywere as to how long will they last. For me I need tyres that will atleast go for 15k kms
Michelin pilot street radial for 6000rs which some say have gone past 30k kms.

I have no clue what to go for front tyres. Need help deciding.
FC1 on the left. Massetter on the right.

The MRF Massetters are good and should easily last more than 15k. The MASSETTER MCT is a multi compound and Massetter X is hard. The PSR are definitely better if it's in your budget.

The options for the front in stock size are pretty limited.

Stock for the front:- MRF nylogrip zapper FY 2

    Other options in stock size:-

    MRF Massetter 100/80 *NOT RADIAL*

Pirelli Sport Demon 100/80 -17 M/C 52H Tubeless Bike Tyre, Front

    MRF Nylogrip Zapper-FX1 100/80 -17 52P Tubeless Bike, Front

Michelin Pilot Sporty 100/80 -17 52P Front Tubeless Motorcycle Tyre

    UPSIZED FRONT:-

Michelin Pilot Street 110/70 R17 Front Tubeless Bike Tyre

    MRF REVZ FC1 110/70 R17

    MRF REVZ-FC 110/70 R17 54S Tubeless Bike

I've got the MRF REVZ FC1 110/70 in the front and I love it. Gets a lil time to get used to it though. Massetter MCT 140/70 in the rear

The MASSETTER looks sexy. The FC1 has awesome grip

Will upsizing front as well not give odo errors and rather rigid handling.? And also milege drop.

Are these both same size tyres because messeter looks thinner?

The handling feels rigid for the first few KM's. That's it. Then it becomes natural. Odo errors and mileage are marginal. Too less to make a difference.

The MASSETTER in the above pic is 100/80 for the front and the FC1 is 110/70

Also now that front abs version of ns200 is out I was wondering if that abs could be retrofitted with our bikes as well. I would happily spend 10k if that was possible for the sake of safety.

A friend said that a mechanic replace the indicator without removing the fairing but he does not know the exact procedure. So yeah, it is possible to change the indicator without removing the fairing.

My motorcycling has hit a bit of a roadblock (hoping it's just that) due to this issue in my AS200 (2015).

                  What happened -

Routine service is due about a month ago. Motorcycle goes in to the ASC, gets serviced as usual and the PM Kit is replaced (spark plugs, air filter etc.). While returning back home, I sense a jerkiness in the way the bike is moving past the 60kmph (4000 rpm) mark. If I tried to push the bike beyond that, the jerkiness (lack of pickup and acceleration) increases even when the throttle opened is more than sufficient. The only difference this time in the service was the use of Motul 7100 10w50 instead of 20w50 owing to a lack of availability of the latter.

A line to describe this 'jerkiness' - Very similar to how bike loses acceleration when about to hit 'Reserve'.

Here's how things have panned out since then (in chronological order) -

                  1) A week later (since Mon-Fri are working), went back to the ASC, and the mechanic says the new spark plugs are faulty and replaces them again.

                  2) Jerkiness still present, so I take a leave on Tue and head back to the ASC. This time, I am told that the clutch set (clutch plates and pressure plates) needs replacing. I am not sure about it, but since the bike is touching 33k on the odo, I give the ASC the benefit of the doubt and go ahead with it. Slight improvement in acceleration from the standstill, but jerkiness still there. Gearshifts have been hard since then, and as per the ASC, it's just clutch cable adjustment.

                  3) Head back to the ASC for the 3rd time (in 2 weeks), and I spoke to the Service GM this time, only to be reassured that it will be rectified. The plugs and air filter are checked, and the tappet is adjusted. We even put the bike on a dyno, and it goes easily to 108-110 kmph (as indicated), but the moment it comes on the road, it is the same story all over again.

                  4) Being the hopeless optimist I am, I went to Karol Bagh yesterday, got the carb opened and cleaned, and put a K&N air filter (stock replacement type) hoping the issue might get addressed, but nothing doing.

During all this, have got the AFR properly set to make sure it is not down to that. So essentially,

                  - The spark plugs have been changed and checked
                  - The air filter upgraded
                  - The tappet adjusted
                  - The carb cleaned
                  - The AFR has been set
                  - The clutch plates have been changed

In spite of all this, the motorcycle is running sluggish, so much so I have to let the Splendors and Shines of the world pass as I would anyways get skinned by them.

All my efforts to get it rectified have been in vain, and all this without being able to detect or pinpoint the source of the issue.

Is it possible that there might be a leak in one of the valves which is causing all this, and is that even a thing in the NS and AS engines?

I am worried my motorcycle has turned into a lemon, and might not get back to what it was.

Any guidance by the forum members will be hugely appreciated.
Buddy!! I too am facing the same problem. Has gone to no. of mechanics, tried several trail and error methods but everything's in vain.

It can be done without removing the fairing.
Got my front left turn indicator changed from sec-21 chandigarh.
The first mechanic tried to replace it without opening the fairing for around 5 mins, then gave up and was about to remove the nuts of the fairing.
Then his senior asked him to stop and the senior managed to remove the earlier (broken) one with ease using a spanner.
The fixing of the new one was also done quickly but the wiring connector did take a little time because its in a very constricted space but it was done without opening the fairing at all.
So it can be done but takes patience and practice.

Hey guys, my first time here on the xbhp community. I own a 2015 AS 200 which I bought 2nd hand and was in pretty much showroom condition except for few scratches on the the left side. About 4 months ago I started experiencing major low engine oil levels. I top up using MOTUL 4T 7100 20W50. It's supposed to last I guess for 5-6k kms or so? Anyway, for me it goes below the minimum level within 1.5-2k kms. I took it to the service center and my usual mechanic told me it's a weak bore issue. Re-boring is a solution but he suggested I replace the entire Bore Kit which will cost me around 15-20k approx. The bike had run 15k kilometres when I bought it and it's now at 30k.

Anybody ever had/has similar issues or is it just me. Please advise.
                      Thanks guys Cheers

15-20k rupees!! Seriously?? Because the piston cylinder kit plus labor charges must come below 4k. I think they are planning to loot you. Better get opinion from a different place.

Sorry for the really late reply, I've been having continuous exams.
Yes, I did check out 99rpm after I had talked to the mechanic. What the mechanic actually told me is that after they open my engine, if my cam\crankshaft (idk which one he specified) has any issues, he'll have to replace that along with the clutch assembly, timing chain, valves, etc, etc the works. If nothing is wrong with the cam\crankshaft, then it's just the bore and the timing chain, valves and few other things only. He told an estimate of around 15-20k.

I'm actually planning to give my bike to a private mechanic cause the service center people wouldn't pay proper attention to detail while fixing as they'll have a lot of bikes to work on regularly. The problem is I live in Chennai and I don't know any good mechanics and none of my friends know either as they're all regular service center customers.
Pretty confused about what to do. Suggestions are appreciated.

                          Thanks. Cheers

Always try to get an opinion from a different mechanic. You can always check the prices from 99rpm.com.

Also update what they say as there is a large community here at xBhp ready to help. You can also use the NS200 thread for posting your queries as the mechanicals are 99.9% same.

Yes, you're completely right bout that ayrus. There's this mechanic on the same street as my house and I went to him yesterday asking if he could fix my headlight LEDs as the showroom mechanic told me he can't do anything bout them and that I'll have to replace the entire headlight if I need a fix.( That's 5k rupees right there).
Anyway, this mechanic is a pretty self taught and hard working guy who's been working on bike's since he was a kid. He even built an electric motor for an old bullet. Pretty brilliant guy.
I told him the same thing what the showroom mechanic told me and he was like there's absolutely no need to replace the crankshaft\camshaft whichever or anything else and he can( if I was ready to) do the bore work for me. And yes, he told me the same price thingy like how you did. But I'm a little hesitant to allow him to fix this or check it out with any other private mechanic( if I could find any). He did do a brilliant fix for my LEDs (photos attached) though but idk. What do you guys think? Should I look for more mechanics or go with this one?Click image for larger version

                                Nice video bro

Coming to your issue, I've read that Motul oils have the oil burning issue in few bikes. It'd be better if you switch to the stock oil, wait and watch for a few thousand kms.

Also, do you feel any loss in power/drop in mileage?? Comparing with another bike should be the best way because the loss in power would be gradual that it may have gone unnoticed.

Check for compression. It should be the best way to check for weak bore.
