I did think of shifting to a semi-synthetic oil but I was afraid the sudden change may cause any damage? The fear of more issues turning up cause of changing engine oil type made me stick to the Motul 4T 7100 20w50 oil.

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
TBH, there's absolutely no loss in power or mileage. I feel a slight increase in power delivery now than before. And yesz I've heard bout the motul oil burning issues and after a 30 min ride I actually do smell this woerd engine oil smell. The mechanic i mentioned to you previously told me bout the smell and he was like it's basically the bore acting up.Originally posted by ayrus View Post

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
What's the stock oil (the one the SVC uses) bro?? You must be able to use it without any issues. Changing oil should not give any problems as long as it is of the same grade (20w50 in your case). Also remember to change the oil filter and any other oil related thing your bike requires.Originally posted by SHELBY14 View PostTBH, there's absolutely no loss in power or mileage. Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Recently changed the entire clutch kit and replaced and bled front brake oil @ Highlander bike garage in HSR layout Bangalore. Bike is running fine. Half of my brain is telling me to pamper the bike more. the other half is bitten by upgrade bug. Dont know what to do. Home ministry and bank account will take call. whatever it is let me wait for all manufacturers to announce their 2019 price list. Dominar/Xpulse/Himalyan is in my second half

I still have mine, though I've been tempted dozens of times to upgrade.Originally posted by Anubhav M View PostAnyone still there holding on to their bikes in 2019?? Or has everyone moved on?
Other than the cumbersome handling and back-breaking ride quality, there's not much to complain about.
But the ride quality is really forcing me to look at other bikes (I'm fat, and I have a back/neck issue). I need something comfortable, with equal or better performance than the AS200, and the ability to take broken/muddy roads. And an upright riding stance.
The FZ25 is Ok, but not significantly more comfy than the AS200. The 2019 Dominar sounds perfect, but the ground clearance seems low. The Mojo is not selling well at all, which raises questions about the bike's future (and consequent availability of parts)... though a BS-VI version has been spotted. The Himalayan is an RE, so... no.
I wish the Xpulse had more power...

Try the apache 200 it's a good package. Power is less but ride quality is good and it's smooth.Originally posted by deebee View PostI still have mine, though I've been tempted dozens of times to upgrade.

Also tube washer thingy worked like charm.
Although just fitted only 2 nuts with rubber washers.
The plastic push rivet broke apart long time ago. Fitted nuts in its place and vibrations are down 90%. Just from 2 nuts.
And the guy took 550 bucks above servicing charge and still managed to completely mess up two nuts.
Now I can't open the fairing without breaking something.
Thanks for the tip.

15km is not that far as far as having peace of mind is concerned.
Also let us know how the issue is resolved.

Also could everyone share what mileage they are getting ?
Hi! First post on xBHP! Have been mostly a silent reader of posts till now. Straight to the point, my Pulsas AS 200, 2016 model gives me a mileage of 35-37 on petrol, in city, under pressing traffic conditions too. I actually use Speed petrol, which boosts my mileage up to 37-39.

Will mainly attribute it to the smooth engine, and my riding style. I try to ride very economically following all the golden bits of advice that is given for good mileage.
On the highways, I can't stop grinning. Usually 42-45. I once got 45kmpl on a ride to Dapoli. :

I've ridden the first-generation 390 Duke quite extensively (and over varied terrain), and I find it rather uncomfortable. Even more uncomfortable than the AS200, in my opinion.Originally posted by Zapps View PostHow is Duke, comfort wise?

Re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences
Hello I am having battery issues with my bike. After 3 year of use i replaced the battery to amron. After 4 months yesterday the battery went out of charge. Even after 60 kms of spirited riding the battery did not have enough juice even for a single self start. But after that i got fed up and idled the bike for 10 minutes and to my surprise the bikes battery started working fine. Today in the morning started the bike but again battery was down so took the bike to amron shop and he checked the charger and said the voltage at 11000rpm is 14.7volts which is over charging the battery. He said battery is damaged due to that. I asked the service center mechanic and he said its fine if the charger voltage goes upto 15 volts. Now i am confused what to do. Sue the amron shop or get the regulator changed which will cost around 1600 bucks. Please help.
