    I have very closely observed today while riding back home that the vibration from the engine changes right at 5.5 rpm on 6th gear. It is strongly felt on the right side footpeg and the brake lever. Is it with all of you?

    Oil seems to be pretty much fine.

    Regarding vibrations, mine vibrates at 4-5k RPM and beyond which the vibrations get reduced. What I have noticed is, my bike vibrates more when the engine is cold, probably its the same for everyone. Try idling the bike for 20-40 seconds before you start, or simply start the bike let it idle and then you do your other chores like wearing the helmet, jacket etc. Also, changing to Motul (5100) oil has lowered vibrations a lot for me.
    It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

      Thank you again Sal. I have diligently practiced to keep my vehicles on idle before I start, when they are kept parked for more than 4 - 6 hours. The engine performs better that way but, what I mentioned has nothing to do with temperature because this happens all the time, irrelevant for engine to be hot or cold. To put it in simple words, its like as if the engine changes its mood when the meter shifts between 5 - 6k rpm. I am at 3100 km, should I go for an oil change since I am on DTSi?

      Suggest me on how to improve the handling, I can feel the front Tyre kinda wobble on uneven asphalt surface, please observe, not pot holes or bumps, uneven asphalt surface. I hear a dhak sound when the front shocks push up and the handle being loose feeling. Cant take sharp turns at more than 40kmph.

        Hi Hunterkol, which SVC do you go to? Maybe you could try Samir's in Kalighat (though I realise it's a bit far from where you stay). This is 4-5 houses down from CM Mamata Banerjee's residence, on the same road. Samir seems to know his stuff, and takes a sensible approach to sorting out a bike's issues. And he's worked enough on my AS to have gained some valuable experience with this particular model :P

        If you do visit his SVC:

        - you can use me as a reference if you like (just mention the fat guy with the black AS200 who rode to Sikkim - he'll know)
        - ideally, try to be there by 9.15-9.30 am (the queue lengthens drastically after that, especially on Saturdays)
        - definitely get your bike washed while you're there. Samir has some serious bike washing kit.
        - Samir's is an authorised SVC, so your warranty should remain intact.

        Tip - of the three mechanics there, Somu is pretty much the best.

          Hey Deebee,

          Thank you for looking out for me, to reach Kalighat at 9 - 9:30 I would have to drag myself out at 8 and it may not be possible because of my busy schedule. Just as you advised, there is a Mechanic at Barasat, this guy is driven to Bajaj SVCs when they fail to identify issues with Bajaj Bikes. People say, this guy is a second generation engineer who fixes bikes out of passion. I am just refraining to go to him because of warranty issues and distance.

          If only my work schedule was a little easy, I would have given him a visit for sure. Thanks a ton again.

            Hello guys . Went for 1st paid service. The service is really pathetic and i am frustrated with the mechanics. In paid service only air filter,spark plug were cleaned chain was adjusted and bike was washed. The charge for paid service is rs 450. My classic 350 svc charge is 250. The issues which were reported by me were
            1= bad pickup
            2=afr tuning
            3= monoshock setting ( it's making hoosh sound)
            4= TAPPET adjustment
            5=clutch adjustment
            After service nothing was done only afr was set without co machine
            Answer by mechanic " sab to theek hai itni chinta na karo aur tappet me sound ati hai agar tight kiye to bike chalegi kaise"
            I contacted customer care support they said ride the bike for 7 days if the problem is still there then contact us..
            And there is clutch noise from clutch block . When i hold the clutch lever for few second and release the sound comes like hydraulic machines.

              Hi folks, my bike's low beam bulb has conked off. I'm planning to install Philips xtreme vision. Owners manual is common for NS/AS which states it's H4, I'm really not sure if it's H4. Can someone confirm the socket type?
              Its the fusion of a two wheeled machine & a human being which creates a true biker.

                The manual may be common but the bulb is not. NS has a regular H4 bulb which has two filaments in single bulb for high and low beams. For AS200 its h7 which has only one filament in the bulb and can be used either for high or low beams.

                  You're always welcome

                  My bike has now developed a similar issue to yours - it's using up coolant like rum & coke. I just hope it's not leaking into the block! Fingers crossed, will visit SVC next weekend. Again.

                  I think I've spent more time at the SVC within 12 months of AS200 ownership than I have in 11 years with my P150

                  That's correct.

                  My low beam blew out within a few months, too - and I replaced it with the P220's bulb. Looked identical to the AS200 unit. Rubbish light, at least 10% down on the stock bulb.

                  Yeah... it would be great if someone sheds some light on socket compatibility for the Philips X-treme Vision on the AS200. How's Osram's Nightbreaker? I've heard good stuff about it too.

                    Hey Deebee,
                    I checked out with Philips, they have these 55watts H7 bulbs called the X-tremevision. Go check them out, they come in set of two bulbs I think because they are listed for cars. We need H7 bulbs for AS200 for sure.

                          No[emoji45] But I've just bought motul c1 & c2... Will that do? Or do I need to do something about the rust first

                            Clean and lube chain every 500 kms or whenever it's dry, for now just clean it thoroughly with chain cleaner/kerosene and lube it. Clean & well lubed chain increase chain sprockets life span.

                              Is it advisable to use kerosene as chain cleaner or should I stick with the specialized chain cleaner available in the market. I am from Sambalpur, Odisha and here i only get this Rolon Chain Cleaner in the market.

                                Both are good but I use kerosene it takes out all the dirt much faster, rolon is ok. You can purchase tribocor cleaner & lube online.
