You need not Hold the choke back Again..

If the jerking problem still exists after that.. Check the quality of fuel you are using or for any Dust or particles In fuel Tank...

Adulterated fuel can also be one of the reason for the jerks..

    Hello AmanZ,

I followed what you suggested as I use to start the bike and keep it at idle for 10 minutes without any acceleration every morning before I ride it to warm it up and keep it at idle for 5 minutes at the end of the day before switching it off. Now, I use the choke, I start the bike on choke and keep the choke pulled because if I let go it brings the throttle down to standard RPM. I could not understand the meaning of Auto Choke, the choke on my bike needs manual intervention. Kindly assist me to understand.

      Hi HunterKol,

AS 200 does not has autochoke On feature..You manually have to pull the choke... AS200 has Auto choke off..

Which means when u turn on the choke Manually.. The RPM shoots up till 4k - 4.5k RPM.. and after some time when the desired engine temperature is reached... Choke automatically Turns off.. (I mentioned this in my previous post as well mate) And the RPM comes to normal 1.2k RPM - 1.5K RPM.. there is no need to keep the bike Idle after using choke..

And also there is no need to keep the bike Idling for 5 mins when you switch off the engine.. Until and unless the radiator fans turns on.. Keep it running till the Radiator fan shuts down and then switch off the engine..

      Hope this helps..

      Cheers

The auto choke position does not return to normal. At least in my NS it was so.

          hi ,
I own a pulsar as200 . I have done 15000 km on odo . There is some burning smell coming from engine after every ride but there is no leakage from engine visually . What would be the reason for this ? anyone else has same issue?

Cold 1400-1500. Not sure about hot, it varies during day and night based on loads (lamps, display light) also fluctuates around 1800- 2200! That's my experience. I have clocked 5.4k.

Idle rpm for cold engine is 1.1k and for hot engine idle rpm will raise about 1.5k to 1.6k rpm

Hey guys I switched to Motul 7100 20w50 at 7800kms in the third service. On my way back from the svc which is 40kms away I felt the bike was super smooth and the bike was actually accelerating on the steepest of ghat sections in 6th gear were I had to downshift to 5 or 4. Now that I have churned out 170km on the new oil I feel the bike is back to its shade and infant may be slightly more viby than before. I also noticed that the top end may have reduced. I used to do around 140plus on a few familiar straight sections of the highway were I visit often but now the bike is struggling to go anywhere near 130. Also the gears are getting sticky?
What should I do? Switch back to dtsi? Or was that some placebo effect?

Also I had asked in forum before for help on this thread about removing the power saving features of NS200 but could not find the replay this is talking about. Any help would be appreciated.

I am also feeling a lot of vibrations after changing to 7100 , but mine is ns200. I think each & every bike is different , so by trial & error method i m going to check the solution. Going to change the oil to 5100 , lets hope vibrations problem get sorted after it . [emoji1]

Guys,a friend with a 2014 NS has switched to Valvoline 4T 20w50 semi synthetic on my recommendations and is happy as a lark with subdued vibrations n smoother revability-do try it out-i believe it simply suits Bajaj engines.

BTW,i use it on my Avenger too-with a drain interval of 2.5-3k kms.My friend drains his NS at 3-3.5k kms

Recently changed to Motul 5100, and then had been to a long ride of 300kms and the experience was much better in comparison with the Bajaj oil. The bike revved so smoothly and so freely, vibrations have lowered, maintaining 105-110kmph throughout the journey, was a piece of cake.
It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

Did a long ride over this weekend . About 400 km mostly ridding around 80-90 and busting to 100-110 .alot of ghat climbing I got an average of 41.
Comming back I definitely got a much better average as it was mostly down hill . I haven't checked to see my average on the way back. In 3 months IV covered 5200 km.

There is buzzing sound coming from the front between 4000-4500rpm which is really annoying but disappears higher up the range. Is there a fix?

                                Hello Gang!

Clocked 2.8 Kms, and here is the situation:

                                1. Got grip covers on the handle grips, vibrations are still making my hand numb.
                                2. Bike revs like it is at 100-110 at 5-6k rpm but is actually at 78km/hr.
                                3. When I twist the accelerator at 4th or 5th gear, the engine picks up and then suddenly the engine feels as if its choking so I have to twist more to get power.
                                4. It is difficult to keep the accelerator steady at low gears and speed, the bike ain't smooth and knocks. Have to use clutch often to keep it flowing.
                                5. Rear view mirrors are pathetic and its difficult to keep them at one position as they change angle all by themselves because of vibrations.
                                6. The most worrying issue stands right now is the handling of the bike. The dhak dhak noise when taking pot holes, artificial speed breakers or when dropping from step like surface remains. No one was able to resolve the issue, the handle when turned hard right gets stuck on the right and then clocks as if something is blocking its free movement. It scares me to open up on asphalts, though the speed is at 134 max.
                                7. The wheels are free, both front and back, no lag, no jamming, no noise.
                                8. The chain has slack but sounds as good as new.
                                9. Tanks have 2 liters of fuel always (I fill it up when the indicator blinks).
                                10. Current mileage is at 32, I ride at average speed of 80km/hr, low gears mostly.
                                11. Console vibes are evident, 4-4.5rpm even the foot pegs become viby and teh drop of power as mentioned earlier is felt at the right hand side foot peg mostly.
                                12. Headlights are useless on highways and normal roads because they seem dim compared to street lights.
                                13. Seats are getting more uncomfortable day by day and Gel ain't an option for me. I need custom made seats like the Benelli, any advice?
                                14. No SVC is capable of handling problems, the bajaj customer care sits dumb and very difficult to find a mechanic in mjy area for such equipment.

I need a lot of help from you guys so kindly start helping me here or I may sell it off. The 90K Hornet is more fun than my 1.24k Pulsar.
