      Guys,

Is there any aftermarket chain sprocket available for AS 200? Mine is getting rusted after 5K kms despite cleaning & lubing for every 800 KMS. I guess its because of bajaj chain quality.

      Thanks.

Chains do get rust. There is no problem with it. Keep it lubed when you ride. It should be fine.

Chain rust is common to some of the big bikes too. It’s a wearing part which isn’t submerged in oil, so it rusts. That’s basic chemistry.

Expensive high quality forged chains and regular chains last almost same distance. Only difference being one rusts and the other does less. Don’t get carried away with these stuff.

Good alternate to hid would be fog lamps mounted on crash guards. I installed them and has been working fine for past one year. Gives good coverage of the road at night time. Also works as cool bright drls in the daytime.

                Hey Guys,
Its been long since I last posted on the forum. I haf to take a job at Bangalore 7 months ago and was transferred there from Kolkata. I had a lot of expectations from this new endeavour but, it was a disappointing one. I had thought of getting my Beasty there and explore the Southern Country but all my fantasy went poof! Turn out my employer to be an dash hole anf I suffered a lot during this tenure. Couldn't ride, no bike, no money and finally I decided to return.
My ride has been idle for 7 months and I am a little concern to crank the engine since, I have no experience on reviving a machine from hibernation. I know for sure the fuel line is jammed because when I truned on the fuel, the overflow tubes started draining fuel. The chain was rusted and I cleaned it well (it took me 4 hours) The console lit up when I turned keys and no battery indicator so, I am guessing battery is good. Thr brakes specially the rear seems yo be jammed (maybe because of the mud and silt debris getting into the caliper piston). Tyres are fine and just to refresh I ride the 130 Michelin Street Radial and MRF FX1 (which i used only for 50kms).
Need suggestions and advise guys, lets start getting active again now, shall we all? I have not ridden for 7 Months Guys! Help mr get back on thr road. I am jobless and broke so advise me on DIYs please until and unless it becomes imperative that I have to get ti a mechanic.
I need all the helo I can get now.

                  1.Get waxpol lubricating spray
spray it all over ,the cabels chain
                  friction parts
                  2.Change engine oil
                  3.Drain all the petrol
petrol gets damaged after 50 days of no use
4.Petrol can be used as an alternate to lubricate
5.Check air filter for any blockage
6.Start the bike and leave it idle for least
                  10-15 minutes

Hi I'm new here, I have a few questions:
                    1. I had tik tik sound coming and went to bajaj svc so they checked the tappets and said they are already tight, what could be the issue?
                    2. I had clutch issue so they changed the plates and wire and now 1st gear isnt proper, I have to press it two three times to actually get into 1st gear. How to resolve this?
                    3. The mechanic changed oil to 20w40 and since then I'm facing a lot of vibrations, is it the oil or he didnt fit it properly after clutch plates changed?
                    4. The chain is also making sound after the change in clutch plates.

How old is the bike? My brother's new as had the ticking sound. Went away in 1000kms. For the shifting adjust your clutch and check the steel plates. Use the recommended viscosity oil.

Its 2 years old and 15k done approx.
Okay so I don't need to go to the svc to get the first gear issue resolved? Should I adjust clutch myself?

I wanted to know if 20w40 can cause vibrations or not, I tried to convince the mech but he insisted on 20w40 so I had to get it filled as he already removed the oil 20w50.

If you know how to then adjust it. Or else go to a mechanic. Thinner oil will make parts wear out faster. Bad pressure plates will cause vibes too.

Adjusting a clutch has nothing to do with vibes. If your pressure plates are bent or out of line then you will get vibes and hard gears.
