4k RPM on neutral is too high. Does the RPM go high if you engage the clutch while on gear?

      • Eurogrip tyre

Twice I had crash using front brakes and both time the wheel skid. Fortunately I wear helmet, jacket and glove all the time in bike so upper part is safe. From the second fall I had minor scratches in my left leg.
I am seriously thinking about changing the tyre. I don't feel confident when I corner even if the road is dry. With little bit gravel becomes more dangerous because of Eurogrip tyre. Anybody else felt the same?
I am planning to go for Michelin Pilot for which I received good reviews. Any other suggestions? How about the new MRF RevZ?

Front left side panel got big scratches. The front left indicator also came out due to the crash.
Took it to the dealer service center. They asked me whether I am going for insurance claim. I asked how long do I need to leave my bike for that. They said 1 month.
I asked if I pay how long will it take for that also they said 1 month. They said since it is new bike the parts have to be ordered and will take time to reach the service center. I told I will pay so that I can use the bike till parts arrives. Insurance claims seems pathetic. Or am I dumb that it works this way all the time?!

I have booked the AS around 20 days ago at Khivraj, but waiting to get one with MRF tyres. Seems, currently that MRF tyres are not really available for the AS anywhere.
Anyone here who got the AS recently, with the MRF tyres?
It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

Yes mate, i have booked one at Khivraj Kasturba itself, its been more than 20 days. I have checked for MRF tyres at Amba bajaj, but no success. I will check some other showrooms as well, if I get time.
Btw you bought it like 2 months ago, right? Currently there aren't any MRF ones available. Im not really interested in going for AS200 with Euroslips (had bad experience on my friend's NS), might jus go for the 220 again! :/

Yes I was very few who got MRF.but don't go for 220 coz of tyres.220is an age old tech as compared to this. This engine is a gem of an engine.

You can trade your euroslips with any other tyre.for eg the mrf ones.you might need to give an extra of may be 1500 at max.

Just because of Tyre choosing P220 is a bad idea. Bajaj might very soon stop the P220 production in order to increase AS200 sales like it did for 200NS. Beware...

                    +1

Also they have pretty much stopped production of 200NS.So 220 might be next. However they might not discontinue 220 for may be 3-4 years down the line coz 150,180,220 has almost the same parts and components and we see so many old gen pulsars on the road.SO if they stop then parts wont be available which might cause problems.

However the [point is you should go for AS200 or RS200,not the old gen pulsars!

Right said. But I suppose Bajaj should supply spares upto 8 years after they stop production of the model (As per their policy), my svc guy said last time when I checked for my NS. So no wonder they stop them. Right now focus is towards AS\RS, since people still are looking for NS (for various reasons, cost, style, handling) and moreover they might introduce CS200 sooner.

Yes.they will have to because NS and AS both have absolutely same parts.

                          Hi all,

completed about 2200Km on my AS200.
Its been largely good except for one random stop for which the svc mech had to be called in!!!

The fairing has started making some noise, not too much, but i hope it does not increase.
Also saw an AS200 on the road for the first time. It was a black one and was looking good, however did not stand out as much as the red one.

I heard a news that bajaj sold 30k pieces ofthe AS but dont know where they are going.

Well black looks okay but red looks killer.
I also noticed the vibe from fairing.is it from 4000 to 5000 rpm from 1st to 3rd gear?

That's both as150 and as200 together. Still people keep buying old 220, bajaj is scared if it stops that, some might opt for a zmr, because many still think that extra 20cc is worth [emoji2]

Yesterday I changed my Eurogrips which ran for 1700 kms. I changed both tyre to upsize 110/70 and 140/70. I changed to Michelin Pilot Radial tyre. Awesome grips. Can't explain how I felt on corners after changing the tyre. It's like driving in train rails, that much sticky!!! Costed me around 10000 bucks including labor charges in Coimbatore.
