Thank you! I forgot to mention another thing.

Once thing that kept bothering me at first was the crash guards on the sides of the bike; they're the same as the NS, and a couple of colleagues noted that they may not be wide enough to protect the side fairings.

Since then, I've dropped the bike three times. Once, it was because I was rear-ended by an Innova while getting through a circle. In all three instances, I didn't notice any damage to the fairing or handles. Hopefully I won't get a chance to test this again. Ride safe, guys!

Those tiny leg guards work well. In my falls on NS not even a single scratch to fairing/fuel tank. They look tiny but do work charm. I crashed with 40-50 km/hr speeds. One important thing replace them with every fall(costs rs.100 only) cause once its bent slight next time you fall its bents more, I did a cheap fix which would have costed me bang but luckily not.

Any known issue with NS should apply to this one as well, unless Bajaj has worked on them. That said, the NS itself is a pretty reliable bike with very few niggling issues reported. You can check the NS thread if you like.

Few minor issues have cropped up in my bike in the mean while. I have crossed about 1.6K kms, and have officially closed the run-in period.

Problems faced so far:
1. Fairing screws getting loose by themselves. Have tightened them need to see if this repeats.
2. Timing chain noise is now evident, need to get that adjusted ASC.
3. Main chain is noisy, have sprayed TVS chain lube, havn't yet tested it for noise.
4. Low beam is too vague, need to open it up and adjust the beam.

A while back someone had asked whats a good cruising speed on this bike, I would say around 95-100kmph. Though the bike makes brisk progress till about 100kmph, if one upshifts to 6th at the said speed, the acceleration is dull. If there is some head wind like the ones I faced on Sunday morning, there is hardly any progress. I did manage to do around 127 and a wind free stretch, it was still pulling would have reached 135+, and it was pretty vibe free. Its strange I get vibes at lower revvs, and the engine is smooth at the higher end of the rev range

Anybody got beamshots of the 200AS, I saw one last night, felt like the low beam has a very low cut off.
I am back!

Got my first free service done today @ Khivraj kasturba road service center in Bangalore which is still pathetic in terms of service. I had to get the bike washed twice to get all the dirt off from the silencer and after that i had to run behind the cleaning guy to wipe the bike. In terms of solving problems the front brake pipe still touches the fairing frame , rear mono shock makes a very funny rubbery noise, and the fairing still makes that thud noise while going over speed breakers. The service guy took me to the new bike lot and all the new As 200s also had the same noise coming from the mono shock. Can anybody suggest a solution to get rid of the noise from the mono shock?

There are several issues with the bike but I don't think any of the issues is a deal breaker.

Mild vibrations

Very less torque in lower rpm.

Poor quality handle bars

Centre of gravity of the bike is slightly towards the front making it a front heavy bike. Due to this the bike feels hard to turn and you may have to put effort into it. But due to the bike being front heavy the front brakes work flawlessly.

If you get eurogrip tires you'll be at a loss as the mrf tires are a lot better.

Projector not as good as Pulsar220 but the whole light setup is a lot better than NS

Overall plastics quality is not great.

Awful wiring harness.

Hard seats, specially the pillion seat.

And as usual Bajaj cut cost everywhere possible, like there is no covering on battery terminals etc.

From my experience the engine on this bike feels a lot smoother than the NS, the engine feels better as you raise the rpm.

Nevertheless, first take a test ride for about 5kms if you can. You cannot make up your mind with a 200meter testride, nor will you be able to know the bikes strengths and weaknesses.

Unfortunately, the harshness and vibrations have increased exponentially as the kms pile up. Specially the right footpeg is buzzing like crazy all through the rev range!
has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions/solutions?

P.S: This is more prominent in b2b traffic
I faced that too and the problem went away for me if you heat up the engine nicely, and by nicely I mean more than you actually would. Also heatup the engine before every run.

It is hidden behind the perimeter frame, left side of the bike.

You can set the low beam by rotating this knob/screw

Rotate the knob/screw clockwise to lower the beam and anti-clockwise to higher the beam.

The knob can be accessed from the bottom of the headlamp doom (first image) but is very hard to rotate.

I see, thanks for letting me know. I have not tested the AS 200 yet, but from the one I saw a few days ago, it felt like there is an actual cut off installed there, like the cut-off of bi-xenon projectors.

I will take a look at it myself once I get access to one
lockhrt999 Any input? I see you complaining about the low beam too.

Yes it has a real cut off and the projector is pointing down out of the factory. My friend who bought AS 150 later raised the light throw at first servicing. I have found light setup much better than P220.

How's the spread of the low beam compared to P200NS?

What exactly do you mean by a cut off? Is it the metal plate that blocks half of the light?

I shot this pic through the light hole of the projector.

Hid the flying B logo(this is what Bajaj really calls it).
No more confusions with the header indicator.

Hey, is that the choke? how do I use it to warm heat up the engine?

I hear this weird rubbery, repeating sound when i pull in the clutch at low speeds. As if the disc or wheel is rubbing against something?
Anyone else faced this issue? what could it be?

Yeah, I'm talking about that metal plate. I'd love to tinker with it to have the beam I want, but I don't even own the bike. So it's just a thought experiment for me.
